@@Daman.S yea man game is amazing just no point for me to invest time ina game the devs gave up on if they actualy added stuff like heist have your own farm idk anything that shows they care i would return in a heartbeat
I played until I reached one million dollars, then stopped because there was nothing to buy. I had dreams of settling down on a ranch beside a river with a wife. Apparently this sort of thing never happened in the west.
You hit the nail on the head. And that's basically why so many of us get bored once we reach a certain level. Coz we can still play and enjoy the game with friends and make our own fun. But eventually those days become few and far between because there's even a handicap on that without a rockstar creator or some sort of tools to give you more freedom to play with the games resources. However if you're a low level or beginner, there's still a lot to grind for and content to enjoy until those players similarly reach an end game since there's nothing to do with that gold and money.
I've been playing since day one and survived the "can't stay connected" and "zero animal spawns" days. The last time I looked, I had over 3500 gold bars and close to a million dollars. I still get on and do my challenges mostly out of habit. My husband jumps in once in a while to do a CTA or legendary bounty and to screw around, but that's it. Neither of us do PvP and we never grief, we just go about our business and leave other players alone. NPCs on the other hand are fair game 😁
I usually do my challenges with my morning cup of coffee and get off when I'm done. I'm trying to remember the last thing I bought with either gold or money besides camp supplies and ammo and I'm drawing a blank. 😂
Crazy thing is they put so much love into the base game i wonder where all that love went? They clearly enjoyed making this game, look at all the little details
Pretty sure it was because shortly after online launch the guy who's baby this was left Rockstar. Can't recall his name off hand but he was instrumental in making some off the best titles.
At this point, I have played online more than the story. (even though I have almost 95 percent completion for the single player). The single player economy is definitely better, but I prefer being my own character. One of the other things about the online mode I prefer is that there are indeed better clothes options, minus the legendary ones which are basically all the same, not as good as in single player.
@@William_afton77i’m pretty sure he’s talking about the series as a whole, GTAO is boring as fuck though and RDO isn’t too far off these days, i’m level 300 in gta online and level 210 in red dead online the only thing that keeps me coming back is the limited stock clothing and playing with friends
The title hit me where it hurts cuz it's 💯 true. I played rdo for 400+ hours before starting story mode in rdr2, and it shcoked me to see the amount of stuff that could've been in rdo just copy pasted from rdr2, the robbery system from any npc. The random encounters of helping ppl (that don't end up with them shooting you 90% of the time like in rdo) The different factions (lemonye raiders, the night folks, the O'Driscolls) Fencing wagons Train robberies (the one with sean and john and charles could've been easily made into an activity or a blood money mission/opportunity) The manual marking ability of dead eye is very nice bht probably won't teanslate well into rdo due to the absence of slow motion of the dead eye, still some manual tagging would've been nice when pve-ing. The whole thing is just sad at this point and as CAT mentioned, the potential here is way higher that gtao imo. Just give the tools to the fans and maybe they'll be able to create more missions and activities, and maybe more accessible than some of the private servers (some of the rules there are absurd, like being unable to free yourself from hogtied state till 30 real time min pass which imo kinda increases the potential to troll rather than create a fun "roleplaying" scenario
You phrased it perfectly. And I think that's what hurts the most about this game not being given a fair chance. Coz it had all the potential and all the resources to be absolutely huge even in an online sense but Rockstar just willingly chose to let it decay as if they weren't a company big enough to make both GTA Online and Red Dead Online coexist and be successful.
@@braevinmaund1210 Funnily enough he ain't alone in that coz PVP Cat himself also played online before story 😂. Weird but possible haha coz yeah the story mode is an absolute masterpiece. The online tends to be secondary with franchises like this.
@@braevinmaund1210 apparently I do and it was probably the smartest choice in my case, if I played online after the base game it'll feel lack luster, but now I got to appreciate both games with only my final go at it (story mode) beinga highpoint rather than it being the lowpoijt of reaching endgame rdo and finding that there is no content for high lvl players
@@braevinmaund1210 I do because Save the Best for last is where you actually see the difference between the Online and Story, We get a decent free roam world with some good cosmetics and missions while in the Story we get everything that we could ever ask for, Ranching,Bank Robberies,Train Robberies, and many more
RDR Online as a Beginner : New experience , enjoying the grind , making friends and feeling like you're building your camp and progress through satisfying hardwork RDR Online as a High Level : All your fun friends have quit the game , nothing to spend money on since you basically have everything you need (besides missed clothing from Outlaw passes) , helping low levels with Wagons or missions which are always repetitive , feeling lonely...
I am level 753 with over 800.000$ and 3100 Goldbars, and even though I love the game I left it a couple of months ago because there is no point into keep playing a game that will never be updated anymore. It's a game good only for beginners who have nothing
Yeah. I quit a year ago at 300 and my friends at 270 or lower. There was literally nothing to do other than fight griefers with the same annoying tonic spam or explosive round spam, or the off radar glitch. The game just simply wasn't enjoyable anymore.
@@lumbagoboi1649 I agree, I was constantly playing with friends, we always minded our business, but at a certain point we decided to stop, we were wasting time on this game
I'm glad to hear you changed your views about the weekly updates, sometimes in gaming we have to remember they're not putting these perks out for us they're doing it to help out new players and keep them interested, they don't need to keep throwing new things to the old players like us, if you're at level 100 or above chances are you're here to stay because you love the game without the perks.
i just started 6 days ago. is it monthly updates now or weekly updates? also for the limited time clothes. it sucks so much i couldnt i missed out so many outfits that would never come back
Yeah that’s me right now I’m having a blast. I know it will get boring eventually but all games do! I have played many games and gotten bored of them. Don’t mean they are bad games!
I gave up on RDO a few months ago; I'm only level 150 or so, but there's nothing to do except grind for stuff I'm not interested in, and any time me and my friends try to meet up do something, it gets ruined by modders and griefers; last time we tried to trail ride across the map, we all got killed after five minutes when it started raining cougars, I'm sick of it. I've gone back to story mode, use it as a horse sim/sandbox. Still my favourite game, and the best world, but R* messed it up badly, I have zero interest in the GTA franchise, so they've just lost me :(
i had the same problem but now im using a really easy method to set a private lobby and i can just share my password with my friends or remove it on the fly to access public lobbies again u can find it easily if u search about it. It is considered moding so use it at ur own risk but i wouldnt worry too much bans are pretty much non existent and u are bothering no one. I would personally stop using it if they gave some big news update to be safe but oh well here we are for the time being...
What's truly sad is I'm a day one player and I remember so many things rockstar promised for this game. They have so freaking much unreleased content for this game is unreal. But unfortunately we'll never see any of it. Unless of course they actually did listen to the community and they're going to actually give us everything they promised into RDO 3!!!! That's my hope but I'm not holding my breath.
I remember when I started RDO and my goal was to get a certain Foxtrotter coat color. I was so excited when I was finally able to purchase it. The removal of the level requirement was a mistake in my opinion. There should be a reason to grind some level. Some base colours like brown, black and chestnut should be available from Lv1 on, but more special colours should feel more special
They didn't remove level requirement from the game, I am a new player and half of the community-made clothes they are giving for free are level locked and I can't get them :c
@@ScionOfTheSeventhDawnI wasnt talking about a complete removal of level requirements. I was referring to the part of the video where he talks about horses and weapons.
As a higher level I play just because I enjoy RDO, I've already accomplished everything and purchased whatever I want. I login now to play random story missions with other players, but the problem is that you can't regularly pick the missions you play, so you end up with matchmaking placing you in the same four or five missions over and over and over. Oddly enough, I'm tired of playing "Where Your Morals Lead," "If the Hat Fits," "Right Side of the Tracks," and "Kill Them, Each and Every One" over and over back to back, so after about an hour or two I play something else (almost certainly not GTA V, probably Elden Ring). Not to mention the fact that when playing RDO, you spend more time sitting and waiting on loading screens and matchmaking lobbies than you do playing the game; it's feels like twenty minutes of sitting around waiting, for eight minutes of game play, then another twenty minutes of waiting.
This company is ridiculous. I had mad respect for rockstar been playing since 1998 . They have no valid reason to not update game or even bring back outlaw passes 1-5 for us to purchase. Billion dollar company can't give us lil updates what complete joke .
The thing is, Rockstar gets their orders from Take 2 and Zelnick. THEY need to be called out EVERY TIME Rockstar does something cheap or shady if anything is going to change for the better.
I left PC and now started on PS5 and XBOX from low levels. On PC I've maxed out all professions, camp upgrades, jobs, weapons, I literally have gold and money and nothing to spend on, I started buying all the horses in game just to spend some money. It's not fun anymore and it really feels like a deserted wild west outlaw land. Now playing on low levels again it seems to be somewhat fun.
They really need to add outlaw pass 1 back someday. Most players who actually played the game back then didn't finish or get the pass anyways since gold/money was so hard to get and almost everyone was low level.
@@grumpy_wolfman see, the problem is that the game was still super dang easy. I did try to reinstate my desire to play by changing my character up. But when I did I still had easy ass ways of making money. And when you start the game your character is terrible with aiming, reloads a little slower and nothing is upgraded, has a terrible horse. I’m a fan of smaller more impactful difficult combat which goes away in higher level gameplay. It becomes more about killing a hundred bandits for one bounty target and less about “gotta make the shots count because you only have 6” I did reset my character and I’ve been having such a blast again, haven’t had this much fun in RDO since like 3 years ago. I almost forgot what it feels like to start fresh.
You don't need to delete your current character.. Just open a new psn account and create a new character.. I know many people with alt/Smurf accounts so they can enjoy the game again and use the knowledge they have learned 😉
I'm a boring person and I don't mind just existing in the incredible environment and doing random things. What sent me away is the cheaters and glitchers. Not fun to just randomly blow up or get teleported.
I don't think that player retention should be judged just based on Steam stats. I was one of the many that bought a full version of the game (when standalone RDO didn't exist yet) just to play online with my friends months after it launched on Steam (we tried the game in early 2020). We did the intro and after it we dropped the game before we even reached lvl 10. Not because we didn't like the content it offered or due to payouts, but because multiplayer was riddled with tons of issues that prevented us from literally playing together. Servers would constantly kick us out, partying up would take way too long than necessary, and worst of all we couldn't do any missions and were only limited to free roam activities which were even more scarce back in 2020. It would be more fair to do such comparison with Red Dead Online stats, but for some reason Rockstar didn't bother to include achievements to track. IMHO intro of Red Dead Online is fairly decent and tries to teach player some of it's basics but most of people who go into Red Dead expect something like GTA Online just with a Wild West setting and are often disappointed by how different and slow everything is. I say it because I also felt a fair bit of that when trying the game back in the days on top of already mentioned issues. And honestly, I feel like Rockstar realizes this too, this is why they only release content for new players. They know that a newbie won't have 15-25 gold bars for his first role after compelting an intro, but oh look, there's a convenient discount for their first role. Oh look they are still missing a couple of gold bars to get it even like that. Oh look, there's a convenient store tab to buy some gold and start playing for 1-2 weeks before player will drop the game and move to something else. And even if that player will stick to the game, well they won't stay there for too long because even though the game is a big as an ovean, it still is as shallow as a puddle when it comes to unique activities. I came back to Red Dead Online this year and got 120+ hours in just Online after giving it a second chance. And now that I'm a fairly high level with almost every role maxed out it pains me to know that most likely there won't be anything else added to the game, and how much potential got wasted. We could've had bank heists, train robberies, player housing, more unique clothing, more horses, purchaseable carriages, a story line about Native Americans and reservations and much more. Right now I'm just grinding up experience to max out everything I have and hanging out with cheaters (desperate times call for desperate measures) that often make dance floors or fight clubs to socialize with other players and simply have something different. But I still have hopes that Rockstar may still release some new content (like new telegram missions that we got this summer) to come back to this sadly forgotten masterpiece.
I still play daily and have fun with the game, I’m thinking about grabbing starfield; but this game is still all I care to play. Since I played the first game non stop when I was little, I decided to grab this game a few months ago to follow up on the first and it’s simple the best game I’ve played. Ugh….. this game could’ve really been something
I’m right there with you. This world is where I live every day, my best friends are here, I ain’t going anywhere. Do I wish there was more? Of course! Is there anything else more worth my time (in gaming)? Not really.
As a beginner, I'm loving this month event (but I miss the free fast travel lol). I know I'm very late to the party, but I''ve decided to give MP a try and I'm loving it somehow. Bounty hunter was the first role I got next to the collector (wasted my gold on that, I know its a good money maker early on but I'm a cowbow, couldn't care less about getting cards and other useless stuff) and now I have the trader role. I'm enjoying the game so far BUT, the hackers are kinda annoying. Already reported MANY MANY hackers but people always say the same thing: rockstar doesn't care. A few days ago an alien spaceship was causing havoc in Valentine. The next day, the entire city was on fire and you would always die by an invisible dynamite. The other day, one person changed appearence with me and killed. The other, a bunch of dwarf people was running around super fast knocking people out. People invincible, invisible, you could count. The game is awesome, but the hackers are annoying and the devs don't give a shit about us.
there's a really easy method to get your own solo lobbies if you play on PC and wanna avoid hackers, it is sadly very true that rockstar doesn't care to much for hackers, both in GTAO and RDRO. its just copy and pasting code into the notepad app then renaming it, and you just drop the file in your RDR2 data folder and thats it. You can even set a password so friends with the same file can join you, its how me and my friend have been playing
yeah im also late to the party i was there when rdo came out but the lack of shit to do meant i got on twice that week for very short durations before getting bored and returning to single plasyer but recently after replaying the story for old times sake i deceded to see where online went after so many years and i was pleasantly surprised i actually spent a good week or 2 just on it for hours even convincing my friend to reinstal rdr2 to play online with me and be a bounty hunter group. but yeah i also wasnt surpised rockstar doesnt do muich against modders and cheaters. they dropped support for the game after all. its a shame to cause the game now has serious potential and i think with some love and more content itd easily rival gta online which itself has felt kinda unloved for awhile just trying to add more and more shit to get you paying irl money on it
Sad truth, very sad...... after I got to level 1000 I had no more goals left. Really miss this game, but its unfortunately boring once you have bought everything and have run out of fun things to do. Miss this cool horse loving community. Actually I really miss my horse now! Am enjoying Generation Zero, feels a bit like RDO in a weird way..... hope to be riding again someday.
@@joseywales1869 much appreciated. Hopefully Rockstar will realize RDO’s real potential. Think they were hoping to create a GTA online cash cow replica. I enjoyed this game because it was not like GTA online, but I guess that does not bring in the 💵. What a wasted opportunity
Same for me. Lvl 1000, 1.5 million and 5002 gold. Came in during beta. Finally had to give it up sadly. Much like the creator of this vid, I was beating a dead horse. Nothing new is coming PVP Cat! We gotta move on. I don’t know if I’ll ever find a game I love as much as this one and I guarantee I’ll never buy another product of R* or T2 after they way they’ve shit all over its customers but I’ll guarantee this vid creator WILL buy it and continue to waste his time lamenting over the R* and T2 greed and lack of consideration for its base. Find a new game PVP Cat. Move on like the rest of us.
As I go to level 100 I ran out of stuff to do you do in once and your done with it grinded all roles done all missions and bought every gun the rest is useless for me
Red Dead Online is truly like the message of the game That the Wild west eventually ends and theres no point in pushing further more Yknow, this also feels like a western story, once the main story ends and the online character have thus built their reputation they decide to leave the 5 states and travel somewhere else
I have resorted to either just hunt and fish because the game can be rather relaxing, Or look for players that are causing trouble and eliminate them like some kind of Wild west Terminator
This is a perfect way to put all this! I started slowing down until i completely stopped playing 1½ yr ago cause there didnt seem to be anything that new and exciting then or on the horizon. This was around the time they dropped the capitole thing but that didnt seem worth playing anymore then the lil bit i had been playing by that point.
Cat! Remember Me? "Окей МС знает английский" I've got lvl C1/C2! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I left Russia and now I live in Finland - 'cause. Make peace and love. Not war!
I played this game pretty much daily. I have logged around 10 minutes total since the announcement. In retrospect it's remarkable how heavy a role optimism played in my enjoyment.
I've never played a video game before RDO (not even story mode) and only learned it August 2022, taught by a pro, so got a great head start. I suppose it's why I'm still having fun playing. Still so much new and space to excel. 😻
Man i really love when your cossack outfit pops up in vid. With the bounty hunter outfit. Youre honestly one of my favorite youtubers at this point, so thorough and eloquent. Very knowledgable about one of my favorite games.
I don’t know a lot about games but why doesn’t rockstar sell this online portion of the game to a company who would work on it. I don’t understand the point of neglecting such a great online game with a awesome community.
I've completed everything main content offers, purchased items I wanted and... I don't see reasons to play further. Maybe if Rockstar would've re-launched all Outlaw Passes again, I'd return to the game.
I wish they add a lobby invitation for various activities. Of course you can invite for posse, by better would be if you could invite for an specific activity, such as lobby or legendary bounty hunter, invite to sell moonshine, invite to telegram mission, call to arms.
There is a poker table method to get a private lobby to play with friends. Also there’s a method for a solo private lobby by changing your MTU settings. Vids on RUclips.
Yes, but I mean more like a virtual board msg. There you would see invites for all kind of activities. Often I invite players to join posse, but they rarely do, and when they do, most leave if I start an activity they re not interested.
Every time I get on, I realize that I've done everything I can and get off after 10 minutes. I want to play, but there's nothing to do solo. I already have the best I can get and can't buy anything else. Best guns, best horse, camp fully upgraded. There isn't anything else to invest in. And the paid stuff I want, I missed around launch and they refuse to bring back and just keep repeating the same Halloween pass year after year. I swear Rockstar doesn't want to make any money outside of GTAO.
One of the awesome news I found out today about Rockstar confirmed that RDR3 in very early development, knowing that it will be released in 2029-30 but still it feels good to hear that we will get RDR3
i remember when i was skeptical to buy this game because of all of the negative feedback but, its my favorite game ever i met my friends and boyfriend on this game it has a special place in my heart. wish they could add new stuff into the game so we would have a reason to come back and actually play. 😢
Purchasing properties were not a possibility, but we could sort of rent them, and these would come with some new roles. As an exemple, we could rent a role of foreman of cornwall freight. Then we could start lobby missions for players such as protect train, protect boat, protect convoy of stagecoats. And these missions could give benefits to participans such as supplies for camp or collectibles. Then we could use some building in saint dennis or blackwater as base of operations. We could have a master hunter role, which could be based at manzanita s post. Then we could spawn legendary animals in session, place hunter requests and players would benefit with supplies for camp and some exclusive garment.
How long has the stable glitch existed now? I'm one of the crusty old men that has played the Red Dead series since Revolver. I've seen a lot of good games die due to mismanagement, and just outright greed; it's really quite sad to see such an established developer, such as Rockstar, to do it. But not overly surprising. RIP RDO.
100% agree with every word you said. I have close, if not more than one thousand hours in Red Dead Online. I am rank 640. I miss the game so much. I always find myself longing to play. However when I do, I can only play for a few hours, then I am burnt out for another 6 months. There is such a soft / hard cap around rank 650. I cannot progress my rank anymore.
As of last week I've hit 1,059 hours in RDO, and Im only sitting down to play for 2-3 times a month for 9-10 hours at a time (due to work) I'm still a sucker for this game, I love running into real players in the open world as most are friendlies lol To me that's what makes this game fun. I grew up in the 80s with Atari so this is heaven to me😂😂
I've already given up on Red Dead Online. My level is 776, I have more than 3500 hours of play and after the launch of that crappy port of the first Red Dead Redemption I realized that we definitely won't have anything more for Red Dead Online, so I decided to move on, I'm starting other games, still I hadn't played The Witcher 3 and I'm loving it, but there's always a bitter taste because no game can match Red Dead Redemption 2, I feel a deep sadness knowing that an incredible game like Red Dead Online has simply been forgotten and won't have all its potential explored. I'm very angry with Rockstar for this, I'm really disappointed with this company.
My favorite thing to do rn is kinda wander around and offer help to new or low levels and help them with the monthly stuff if they don’t gun me down on sight
I logged in last month for the first time in a year and all I really did was hang around Valentine and watch player shenanigans because there's nothing else for me to do. Level 404, $130k, 1600 gold.
I've always wondered why Rockstar and Take two interactive don't want 2 successful games instead of just one. There's a fully fleshed out casino boat in RDO just sitting there doing nothing. Wild horses we could be breaking and selling. It's almost like they don't want RDO to succeed.
Honestly, what keeps me playing rdo is he fact once I reach a point where I no longer have anything to do, I simply delete my rdo character and restart. There is just something so enjoyable about building your way back up imo
I was never a high level player in RDO, but what saddens me is that there is unironically so much potential in RDO (or RDO2 if ya'll remember buffalo riding in the original game) but Rockstar abandoned it.
I'M LEVEL 500, THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO DO IN THE GAME. I'VE WON EVERYTHING IN PVE AND PVP... BUT I STILL MISS PLAYING SOMETIMES. I COME BACK, BUT THERE'S NOTHING NEW...
i thjink there is one thing you may have missed out on, you can easely get to lvl 10 in an hour on a new character because you know the game, but new players dont, ive only recently started playing and it took me about 7-8 hours to reach lvl 10
For you collectors out there, a lot of the lost jewelry is above ground for the next 24hrs, so they will show up on the interactive map. All but one of the bracelets are above ground.
It is like they started the game design with the single player game experience and then when it was completed they went to move it to online RDO but realized it was going to be more difficult than they wanted it to be and they just gave up entirely on Online stuff. Just didn't even try doing much of anything for RDO at that point.
i remember coming from the PS4 to PC, i lost all my progress and for the first two hours got blown up by hackers, decided to just use the SSD space RDR2 was taking up on my PC for other games because it just wasn't worth the effort to get back to where i was for a game that threw up so many malware warnings whenever you joined a lobby
my friend and I just can’t stop playing. There’s so much different types of players and it’s interesting to act with them together. It’s also a very beautiful game so just running around the map is fun. Even tho there’s nothing else to do we’re still gonna keep playing for sure
I stopped a couple of years ago, I think I was level 160 or something. I hung on for awhile hoping they'd add content for me to spend my gold bars/cash on, it just never came. No reason to go back.
My main account is level 146 or so, and I sill have not bought everything I want (still have four horse stable slots available to buy, for example). I have enjoyed plenty of games long after reaching the max level, having everything I want, etc. Anyway, I could always use my other two accounts as well, only level 36 (a female based on one of my grandmothers) and 47 (a comanche Indian). I play on PS5, which is how I can use the two other accounts I made (without Playstation plus for those accounts, since I have it with my main profile). I am not sure if this works on xbos or not.
I started to play rdo and almost instantly abandoned it, even at a low level. The problem is the money system. It takes 10 missions to be able to afford a poncho.
I found my new favorite high level thing to do. I spend my days helping new players learn the game. I fill up my trader wagon and moonshine and run them with random low levels.
The lack of content wasn't the biggest let down. I still had fun doing free roam fights and showdowns. But after they put in the special edition showdowns that nobody liked, and no action against the cheaters. Godmode, off radar. But the worst is the third party devices, lag switchers and booters. Rockstar turned their back on rdro, but the player base killed it.
I'm coming back to it. I've missed it and my character wasn't a high level. So hopefully it'll be fun for awhile, see how the winter update is this year.
The griefers are about to drive me away , I work allot, have limited time to play, just trying to rank up to get some decent ammo, annnnnnd here come the griefers. I came from the other direction, several playthroughs leading to streamed RDR and Undead Nightmare before landing here. It feels like coming home.
@@Kjklump Dan Houser?
Because the management decided it was feature complete enough, ignoring what passion was put into it. And, now let the milking begin?
At this point, I have played online more than the story. (even though I have almost 95 percent completion for the single player). The single player economy is definitely better, but I prefer being my own character. One of the other things about the online mode I prefer is that there are indeed better clothes options, minus the legendary ones which are basically all the same, not as good as in single player.
don't blame the devs, blame the idiot zelnik, may he rot in hell
Put alot of hours in this game can't believe they abandoned it so quickly for gta
rockstar needs MUNEH
I know, I had more fun in rdo in 5 minutes than GTAO in 10 days, that's a shame
red dead is more interesting due to the fact that it is set during a different time period alone
@IShowSped999red dead came out before gta 5 😂
@@William_afton77i’m pretty sure he’s talking about the series as a whole, GTAO is boring as fuck though and RDO isn’t too far off these days, i’m level 300 in gta online and level 210 in red dead online the only thing that keeps me coming back is the limited stock clothing and playing with friends
The title hit me where it hurts cuz it's 💯 true.
I played rdo for 400+ hours before starting story mode in rdr2, and it shcoked me to see the amount of stuff that could've been in rdo just copy pasted from rdr2, the robbery system from any npc.
The random encounters of helping ppl (that don't end up with them shooting you 90% of the time like in rdo)
The different factions (lemonye raiders, the night folks, the O'Driscolls)
Fencing wagons
Train robberies (the one with sean and john and charles could've been easily made into an activity or a blood money mission/opportunity)
The manual marking ability of dead eye is very nice bht probably won't teanslate well into rdo due to the absence of slow motion of the dead eye, still some manual tagging would've been nice when pve-ing.
Coz it had all the potential and all the resources to be absolutely huge even in an online sense but Rockstar just willingly chose to let it decay as if they weren't a company big enough to make both GTA Online and Red Dead Online coexist and be successful.
true but also who tf plays online before the absolute masterpiece that is the story mode
@@braevinmaund1210 I do because Save the Best for last is where you actually see the difference between the Online and Story, We get a decent free roam world with some good cosmetics and missions while in the Story we get everything that we could ever ask for, Ranching,Bank Robberies,Train Robberies, and many more
RDR Online as a Beginner : New experience , enjoying the grind , making friends and feeling like you're building your camp and progress through satisfying hardwork
RDR Online as a High Level : All your fun friends have quit the game , nothing to spend money on since you basically have everything you need (besides missed clothing from Outlaw passes) , helping low levels with Wagons or missions which are always repetitive , feeling lonely...

Sad for me as day one player but I'm glad people are still finding and experiencing this incredible game for the first time
Yeah that’s me right now I’m having a blast. I know it will get boring eventually but all games do! I have played many games and gotten bored of them. Don’t mean they are bad games!
I would really enjoy it if the game did receive as many updates as gta online though
I would personally stop using it if they gave some big news update to be safe but oh well here we are for the time being...
what keeps it fun for me is helping noobs and getting into silly fights
Still waiting for the day some high levels help me and not just grief lol
@@BillsNzthe day has arrived if your on PlayStation I will help you
What's truly sad is I'm a day one player and I remember so many things rockstar promised for this game.
What coat colour was it
The Silver Dapple Pinto, at Level 58@@choclate3265 . Was quite a grind, because it was before they added roles etc
If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus Is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. -Romans 10:9
Yeah I was level 470 when I quit the game 2 years ago I had everything in the game and I got the platinum too
If they cared about high level players, or any players for that matter, they would add a discount on beans
So true!
Fucking deal with it lmaooo
The thing is, Rockstar gets their orders from Take 2 and Zelnick. THEY need to be called out EVERY TIME Rockstar does something cheap or shady if anything is going to change for the better.

Can’t imagine how hard it is to keep posting about red dead even know that’s your whole audience 😢 rip red dead
I hate online gamers so I found a way to play solo, but I've got about 10 hours in my online character and I'm over it.
I don't understand why Rockstar won't add the rest of the old outlaw pass items to Madam Nazar's inventory.
YES EXACTLY
They really need to add outlaw pass 1 back someday. Most players who actually played the game back then didn't finish or get the pass anyways since gold/money was so hard to get and almost everyone was low level.
Everything has a price.
Even leaving a game to die.
Ask The Gods.
The same thing that happened to GTA is happening to RDO. It's turning into one big free roam PVP competition.
And *that* bores me.
@@MichelleArnone It's not my favorite thing to do.
I'm just about to delete my character to enjoy the game again. The only thing holding me off is losing some of those battle pass rewards.
It becomes more about killing a hundred bandits for one bounty target and less about “gotta make the shots count because you only have 6”
I did reset my character and I’ve been having such a blast again, haven’t had this much fun in RDO since like 3 years ago.
Not really.
Great title. Kudos to all the time taken to play, record, plan, edit and make this truthful video.
I reached lvl 160ish in rdo and sadly Im struggling to find reasons to keep playing it which sucks because I absolutely love the game.
I plan on starting rdo soon you wanna team up
there's a really easy method to get your own solo lobbies if you play on PC and wanna avoid hackers, it is sadly very true that rockstar doesn't care to much for hackers, both in GTAO and RDRO. its just copy and pasting code into the notepad app then renaming it, and you just drop the file in your RDR2 data folder and thats it.
Playing a game for 4 to 6 years to get level 1000 is not a bad thing.
Congrats on getting to club 1000 and sorry that we lost you…..ride easy pilgrim
As I go to level 100 I ran out of stuff to do you do in once and your done with it grinded all roles done all missions and bought every gun the rest is useless for me
Red Dead Online is truly like the message of the game
That the Wild west eventually ends and theres no point in pushing further more
Yknow, this also feels like a western story, once the main story ends and the online character have thus built their reputation they decide to leave the 5 states and travel somewhere else
thats real tho wtf
I have resorted to either just hunt and fish because the game can be rather relaxing, Or look for players that are causing trouble and eliminate them like some kind of Wild west Terminator
So true; i quit playing seriously when i reached level 740, now i just login to do the daily challenge.
I go in to enjoy the map, relax, explore or fool around, nothing new to achieve or buy...

That's why I left the game it became so boring. I was level 600, more gold than I could point a stick at it.
Still waiting on my fishing pole skins…
You can! It's called Looking for Group
Something interesting on pc is that hackers will spawn naked body’s and people to fight you they can even spawn money and giant animals too
Purchasing properties were not a possibility, but we could sort of rent them, and these would come with some new roles.
I really really want to have a second character in online and having my outlaw passes for both characters
As of last week I've hit 1,059 hours in RDO, and Im only sitting down to play for 2-3 times a month for 9-10 hours at a time (due to work)
I'm still a sucker for this game, I love running into real players in the open world as most are friendlies lol To me that's what makes this game fun. I grew up in the 80s with Atari so this is heaven to me😂😂
Bought on release, 851 hours in, almost through chapter 3, just chillin'...
I quit a year ago and I'm rank 340
Literally no reason to come back
I've already given up on Red Dead Online.
You can still play this game and help lower level players.
My favorite thing to do rn is kinda wander around and offer help to new or low levels and help them with the monthly stuff if they don’t gun me down on sight
Another good video. You hit the nail on the head with this one.
I still grind after two years playing this to see if it will be possible to reach lvl 1000 (before they close servers down 😅)
RDR1 servers are still up and running 12 years later, they won’t shut RDO live service down
When you get to level 999 you will need around 850,000 xp to get that level 1000.. Just letting you know so you will be ready for the BIG grind 😉
@@SiDeShOw-WC I know.. it's crazy. Hoping for collector month more often then 🤣
I'm level 170. Got 40k dollars and nothing left to grind for as there's nothing left to buy. Tragic a game like this got old so soon.
It's mind blowing that rockstar games stop making new outlaw pases, even having clothes and other items never delivered on game files
It does not surprise me 90% of them were completely slated by a vast majority of the player base as crap….including this tuber
Walking around with a stuffed wallet, max role ranks, the whole catalogue in my satchel and wardrobe is actually pretty depressing.
i thjink there is one thing you may have missed out on, you can easely get to lvl 10 in an hour on a new character because you know the game, but new players dont, ive only recently started playing and it took me about 7-8 hours to reach lvl 10
the same issue can be found in GTA online, no end game
Ima still play it I'm tired of griefers I'm playing it still bc I'm tired of low levels getting bullied it's not fair I'm level 391
They should let us give some $$$ to other players to build up the lower level player base.
YES
My biggest thing is that it’s so hard to find players that wanna do PvP
One massive issue is exactly like ea most the veterans of the companies left or were fired so that’s why they don’t offer much
I stopped playing a long time ago. I only the the story mode on PC with mods
Having no focus at all for high level players then literally gives you no reason to even become a high level character from the jump anyway.
my friend and I just can’t stop playing. There’s so much different types of players and it’s interesting to act with them together. It’s also a very beautiful game so just running around the map is fun. Even tho there’s nothing else to do we’re still gonna keep playing for sure
Meanwhile my friend have 700 days played on this game and with 6000 gold and almost 2 million dollars, which is crazy
Tahiti awaits you my boah))
Friends...if you have Friends to play the game with its still fun..Yea you will be bored alone...get Friends people..
Level 416 here. Got so much gold and cash and nothing to do with it, no new activities either. That's why I left more than a year ago.
I stopped a couple of years ago, I think I was level 160 or something. I hung on for awhile hoping they'd add content for me to spend my gold bars/cash on, it just never came. No reason to go back.
This is why I have 6 accounts. Once I get over level 100 I make a new account because there's nothing left to do once you get to about 100-150.
I fill up my trader wagon and moonshine and run them with random low levels.
what killed me was the number of cheaters in the game and rockstar doesn't care or will even ban you for reporting them.
im so sorry for these situations. ive actively not glitched chests because i know it will ruin the replay value
I had to make the ultimate sacrifice and deleted my character and started from scratch just to try to keep playing..
also most missions dont tell you what to do and takes away all markers so ppl say f that n quite
I'm coming back to it. I've missed it and my character wasn't a high level. So hopefully it'll be fun for awhile, see how the winter update is this year.
LOve you pvp cat keep it up mate much love :)
The griefers are about to drive me away , I work allot, have limited time to play, just trying to rank up to get some decent ammo, annnnnnd here come the griefers. YES !, they need to give y'all something to do so the rest of us can rank up. (and yes , I've slapped myself several times in the forehead for not getting this game when it released)
