It's actually quite interesting to notice just how much Alan has improved since making this masterpiece! It didn't seem all that different until you go back and see them side by side... the newer animations are just somehow smoother and more defined, but in a subtle way. You wouldn't expect it to be possible to improve perfection and yet somehow he did.
Alan Becker That was awsome. What made it way better than the other's is that the characters actually have personality and it told a better story. Way to go on reaching the goal!
AvA3 shows that stick figure sentience was a known phenomenon, with stick figure rights being a hot button topic at the time, which just makes it even funnier imo. Dude knew for years than stick figures were sentient beings, and only stopped abusing them once TSC proved useful. Alan never really changed or grew, he only got better about his treatment once he had a selfish reason too.

Not even Alan Becker, let alone the almost 200 million people who've watched this, could've known the legendary series that would arise from this video here. 8 years of dedication and amazing storytelling, animation, and honestly pure genius, and it all started here.
No, it hasn't started here. It started in an even older video called "Animation vs Animation I", where Alan draw a black stickman, transforms to symbol to give it life, and call it "victim". At the end he only closes the painting window without saving and saves his PC. Then comes "Animator vs Animation II", in where Alan draws another stickman, again black, and converts it again to symbol, calling it "The Chosen One", starting to destroy everything around it with its OP powers. Alan at the end manages to transform the drawing into an AdBlocker. Finally comes "Animator vs Animation III", where the stickman with a 1000 IQ movement manages to release itself from that job, and starts to take revenge on Alan's PC. He creates a red stickman, which calls it "The Dark Lord" with the mission of destroy to "The Chosen One". At the end, the black stickman manages to convince the red one to ally to it, and both sum eachother's forces to destroy completely the PC and escape from it with an offscreen exit (This action is the start of the scenes of "Animator vs Animation V"), giving Alan an BSOD and making him lose his computer. Then, 3 years later, he buys a new PC, and starts doing his things in it, until we see him drawing the orange stickman we all know as "The Second Coming". This is the start of "Animator vs Animation IV". After this, SC (Acronym of "Second Coming"), in a branch of the timeline, he finds the Minecraft Block, starting "Animation vs Minecraft" and then the 30 "shorts" that follows the story. Maybe someday Alan will make "Animator vs Animation VI" or "AVM short 31" or maybe a new time branch we don't even know yet.
It's probably a common occurance in this universe. Remember the begining of Animator Vs Animation 3. Or the discussion Alan had in Animator Vs Animation 2.
It's my first time here after 8 years. I can't believe it's been this long. This is more impressive than the first time I watched way back in the day. Thank you for making my childhood great.
This really hits different after all the time we spent watching these guys evolve into individuals with well fleshed-out personalities, gaining skills/powers, becoming best friends and making new friends along the way. Makes you see it in a whole new context. Edit: Also, rewatching this made me realize something: There seems to be a pattern with Red where in the majority of instances, if not all, he's the first to go down whether by getting deleted or incapacitated in any other way. That's mostly because he's the most impulsive one and the first to jump into action, but it happens here too, while he's not even doing anything Alan decides to delete him first through Task Manager. He also seems to be the one to attract trouble the most.
I like how the ending shows that he's learned his lesson when it comes to dealing with sentient stick figures. Rather than destroy him, just be nice to him.

7 years ago, when this masterpiece was made, I didn't know it yet, but I was in for a ride 3 years later. Now, in 2022, I still love it to this day. Happy days forever to you Alan Becker. Edit: Due to other demand I changed it to 7 years again!
After the 11th episode and seeing this again, we never saw Alan convert a symbol on TSC and he just suddenly moves. And seeing the animations come to life by just uploading in the internet, we could assume that TSC is like the others but an early bird, woke up right away during animating & without uploading, and a definite anomaly or animation paradox.
I like how, “The Chosen One,” is permanently weaker in this Orange state. We even get A glimpse of The Chosen One in his pure form, trying to unlock the Orange guy’s latent supernatural abilities, but in the end the Orange guy’s attempts at committing cybercrimes against A single computer were dealt with ingenuity instead of raw power.
You know, it's been a long time since I saw your first "episode" of these animations. Guess it's close to 8 years, and that would have put me in the 6th grade. The whole concept was my favorite, and I used to be really into sites like stickpage and all their stick fight animations. I never thought I would come back and see numbers 3 and 4, and 4 being such a profound watch. In 13 minutes I saw what is now probably not even close to being one of your biggest projects, but made me feel connected to you in the craziest way. Since I'm now in my sophomore year of college studying computer science, it's so strange thinking about middle school watching your first animations. And it's amazing how far you went with it. It looks like you've done really well for yourself doing something it seems like you love, and maybe I'm just a big sap, but there was more emotion roiling in me from this video than a lot of movies I've seen. The scene where you pan to your workspace and see all these concepts you threw out or stopped and the stick figure finishing them, perfecting them. I could see this point where it made sense, that the reason you're doing what you're doing now is because 8 years or so ago you made this funny little animation about an animator defending his work from his creation, and now from just that you've become such a fantastic artist and it's all thanks to that little bastard who killed AIM. I'm glad you stuck with it, and I wish I had the passion, patience, and dedication for the things I love that you do. I hope you keep doing it. But for me, nothing you do will ever compare to this. You have touched my heart, and it just makes it really special. I hope you read this and it makes you smile, and thank you for the nostalgia from 12 year old me, and thank you for... You know, I don't know how to say it. But I think you know what I meant when I said this animation is special. So just thank you.

in simple: the second coming is stronger in general without using his powers, explaination: yes the second coming uses his power but in general hes stronger then the figures, red, blue, yellow, and green are known as "Internet Figures" as they are code and are in the internet, however the second coming is an "Animation Figure" and they vary strength by they're name, as you see in AvAV, animation figures are stronger than internet figures for some reason so in general hes stronger.
4:10 note the blue color being used as water. The same color is also used in AvA 1. In the beginning of the video the color is set to black. In AvA 10 Victim's weapons are changed in color from AvA 1 to black with a blue outline. Coincidence? Probably, but maybe not!
8:13 the color of the lasers of the laser gun TSC uses is green, with an effect that kinda looks like TSC's powers in AvA S2, mightve been hinting to that
Bro this video's almost a decade old. I doubt the coincidences mean anything, given the colours don't have any foreshadowing in them if you look at the latter videos. If anything, they're just quick-select colours and Alan was using shortcuts to speed up animating, instead of picking the colours manually for both. Just like "Hey, these're right here, might as well use 'em."

This really hits different after all the time we spent watching these guys evolve into individuals with well fleshed-out personalities, gaining skills/powers, becoming best friends and making new friends along the way. Makes you see it in a whole new context.
Edit: Also, rewatching this made me realize something: There seems to be a pattern with Red where in the majority of instances, if not all, he's the first to go down whether by getting deleted or incapacitated in any other way. That's mostly because he's the most impulsive one and the first to jump into action, but it happens here too, while he's not even doing anything Alan decides to delete him first through Task Manager. He also seems to be the one to attract trouble the most.

After the 11th episode and seeing this again, we never saw Alan convert a symbol on TSC and he just suddenly moves.
And seeing the animations come to life by just uploading in the internet, we could assume that TSC is like the others but an early bird, woke up right away during animating & without uploading, and a definite anomaly or animation paradox.
I like how, “The Chosen One,” is permanently weaker in this Orange state. We even get A glimpse of The Chosen One in his pure form, trying to unlock the Orange guy’s latent supernatural abilities, but in the end the Orange guy’s attempts at committing cybercrimes against A single computer were dealt with ingenuity instead of raw power.
They're separate characters though, aren't they?

You know, it's been a long time since I saw your first "episode" of these animations. Guess it's close to 8 years, and that would have put me in the 6th grade. The whole concept was my favorite, and I used to be really into sites like stickpage and all their stick fight animations. I never thought I would come back and see numbers 3 and 4, and 4 being such a profound watch. In 13 minutes I saw what is now probably not even close to being one of your biggest projects, but made me feel connected to you in the craziest way. Since I'm now in my sophomore year of college studying computer science, it's so strange thinking about middle school watching your first animations. And it's amazing how far you went with it. It looks like you've done really well for yourself doing something it seems like you love, and maybe I'm just a big sap, but there was more emotion roiling in me from this video than a lot of movies I've seen. The scene where you pan to your workspace and see all these concepts you threw out or stopped and the stick figure finishing them, perfecting them. I could see this point where it made sense, that the reason you're doing what you're doing now is because 8 years or so ago you made this funny little animation about an animator defending his work from his creation, and now from just that you've become such a fantastic artist and it's all thanks to that little bastard who killed AIM. I'm glad you stuck with it, and I wish I had the passion, patience, and dedication for the things I love that you do. I hope you keep doing it. But for me, nothing you do will ever compare to this. You have touched my heart, and it just makes it really special. I hope you read this and it makes you smile, and thank you for the nostalgia from 12 year old me, and thank you for... You know, I don't know how to say it. But I think you know what I meant when I said this animation is special. So just thank you.

in simple: the second coming is stronger in general without using his powers, explaination: yes the second coming uses his power but in general hes stronger then the figures, red, blue, yellow, and green are known as "Internet Figures" as they are code and are in the internet, however the second coming is an "Animation Figure" and they vary strength by they're name, as you see in AvAV, animation figures are stronger than internet figures for some reason so in general hes stronger.

4:10 note the blue color being used as water. The same color is also used in AvA 1. In the beginning of the video the color is set to black. In AvA 10 Victim's weapons are changed in color from AvA 1 to black with a blue outline. Coincidence? Probably, but maybe not!
8:13 the color of the lasers of the laser gun TSC uses is green, with an effect that kinda looks like TSC's powers in AvA S2, mightve been hinting to that
Bro this video's almost a decade old. I doubt the coincidences mean anything, given the colours don't have any foreshadowing in them if you look at the latter videos. If anything, they're just quick-select colours and Alan was using shortcuts to speed up animating, instead of picking the colours manually for both. Just like "Hey, these're right here, might as well use 'em."
