For anyone following along using the vue cli "showModal" must be a function in App.vue. So in the script tag it should look something like this: export default { name: "App", data() { return { showModal: true }; }, components: {} };
Sir how about if I want to trigger the showModal from the parent component? I think it's not triggered the transition because the state has changed before the animation can be triggered.
You could do it too, just practice before you do it. I doubt he just did it from the top of his head on the fly. You could even record it first, then talk over the recording so that you don't have to speak and demo at the same time.
Psst... don't give away trade secrets!!! ;) No in all honesty I write up the code before hand then if I get stuck part way through I take a quick look and carry on :) - This is what almost everyone does
