Hi Jim, its always nice watching your review having same dram in glass as you. Its fantastic, delicious, very moreish whisky. Young but ful of flavour with perfect integrated alcohol. Very oily with so much viscosity, long legs on my glencairn and finaly very waxy. I still can believe this is almost twice younger than famous "waxy" Clynelish but so good, well matured, balanced. Glen Ord's floral moments play fantastic with fruity waxy Clynelish. What a dram. Banger for me. Im just dram under bottle neck but after 1st dram i already knew i need back up. Cheers 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋‍♂️

Thanks for the review Jim. Took delivery of this bottle yesterday and my initial impressions are that it reminds me of Compass Box's Orchard House but looking forward to seeing how it develops as the bottle level drops

Nothing but good things to say about what's in the bottle with Thompson. However, they really blew it with US distribution. Unless you're Californian, you're ordering from the UK. That means the inexpensive blends are lost in the high shipping costs. It doesn't pay to ship a £30 bottle when you have to buy 4 bottles just to get the per bottle shipping down to £25 per bottle. However, I did choose a very nice 13 yr Benrinnes of theirs to include in a shipment of other bottles from the UK.

Oooh it's a beauty. Looking forward to seeing what you'll do for the #250 milestone. Cheers Jim!
If you like this try the Sutherland 05-year-old blend from thompson bros if you can find it which is a blend of clynelish and dornoch.

Another very interesting review, Jim. I love the way you educated us on the label-- very clever of them. I'm looking forward to the time when the Thom Bros bottles are available in the USA. The thing you didn't focus on was that this is a very affordable dram for a blended malt. This brand is going to do well in the OSWAs again this year. Cheers!

Hey Bud, The Thompson bros stuff should be available in certain areas of the states but under the Redacted Bros label 🥃

@@northcoastdrammer8348 Thank you so much for your reply and informing me of their alternative label. Sure enough one of my favorite online shops has the Redated Bros in stock. Cheers!

Very cool timing for me. I just finally got my bottle last week in Edinburgh. Being I tang guy I find it very enjoyable, but I suppose I prefer my SRV5.

I think it's 'foam banana' you were trying to tie down Jim in that nose. This one is eluding me at the moment on accessibility, however I will be delving into the much acclaimed TB/BSW as soon as the wallet is rested from the other (cough) purchases.....you know the ones Jim - those you were promising not to buy as you'd already spent up the whisky budget! 🤭

Bout ya Jim! - Great review, TBH I raced towards it because of the Label, i past up on the Buckfast one thou... yet to pick tesco label up and try
I really do agree on the TB6, its better than the 8yo SRVB i think by a long way. Having said that its spoiled me- i rather think there isn't much grain in it......I cant look at other blends in the same light. Maceans Nose for example- the grain is very obvious for me compared to TB6.
Heavy if not overwhelemly Glenrothes influence me leans to :)
