hi buddy thanks for your blog it really helped me a lot . Without my knowledge i installed 2 antivirus software in my mobile . my N8 started but after 1-2mins it hanged up so i tried this method and my problem was solved .. thanks for your help
@cyclops621 Does that work with 5800 or other devices? I tried but it just starts the phone, my problem is that the touch screen doesn't response to touch but buttons work. I don't think that that the reset thing even resets every single data code from the phone
Hey all 1st thing before Hard or full reset of Nokia N8 . Please make sure ur Battery is full!! 2nd backup ur message , contacts, picture songs , videos (of camera also), every thing from Phone mem (16 gb) 3rd it is good to remove mem card before format the phone

@monkeylove2102 12345 is the default code from the nokia .... but if you bought a second hand phone/used phone..you should ask the previous owner of the cell phone to tell you the code

hahah it will be way to late for me telling you this now but what happens is whilst it is stuck on that screen it is or has actually reset your phone but now you have to manually boot it up, the best method for this is to hole the power button (located on the top right corner of your nokia n8 device) for 8 second atleast untill the screen switches off and vibrates 3 times, if it doesnt automatically turn on again after that, juts power it back up and wait a short time untill it loads and boots!

Call *#7370# >> "end all active calls and connection first" press Power key press Offline >> "delete data setting from ph + mass mems." press YES >> "phone will restart" then I had to wait about 5 minutes, had to enter the security code which is 00000 (5x0) and now just have to add my Apps that I need, insert the 16 GB SD-card again and sync my contacts from my Nokia Suite in my computer, and I am done. Sports Tracker and WhatsApp are already installed on my memory card

what about the factor apps like the fm transmitter or gps?

When do you have to do this? Mine has begun to freeze sometimes, and then I can turn it on after 30 min. Will this help?
