But, one thing I do know is that Billie was 13 when she & her brother Finneas decided one night to put “Ocean Eyes” (which was originally made by Finneas for his band, but they never used it. So she recorded it for one of her dance teachers to choreograph a dance to. It was their way of cheering Billie up by making her feel included with her former competitive dance team after her doctors said she injured her hip or upper leg bone so bad that she would never be able to dance again when she was 12. That had to be heartbreaking & devastating for her bc she wanted to be a professional dancer at the time) on her SoundCloud page which garnered 1000s of streams and likes during the hours they were asleep. Ultimately blowing up out of nowhere.

And they hate auto tune... tried it once and Billie said never again, it was trash.... they do all the recording and producing, everything in Finneas’s bedroom to this day. They said every time they tried to work with someone else they wanted to change it and they want it exactly like they want it PERIOD! Love them! Was supposed to see them in Nashville on 3/27 2 days after my birthday, and then corona happened 😭😭😭 but hopefully it will stay postponed until it’s safe. Love y’all! God bless xo
