I was born in 1979 Rawalpindi and these images bring back a world only who lived it knew how innocent and beautiful life was back in 80s and 90s after 2000 the world has become a gutter.

In 1987 i was in 6th class. My school was in Gulberg and daily i had to travel from Iqbal Town in my school van. There was no pollution and never saw a traffic jam those days. Every thing was simple and peaceful without today technology. Life in Lahore was so calm and chilling those days with excellent vibes of english music of that era. ❤ all the way for this video maker.

I was born and raised in Lahore. This was the Lahore I remember. Moved to UK 30 years ago, each time I visit Lahore , I feel more traumatised for what they have done to it 😢

Remember each and everything here. I literally spent everyday in liberty market and on these roads back in 1987. Yummy 86 and Br7ger 11 and Gambit are gone but Salt n Pepper is still there 😊

The city of gardens and colleges,no pollution,no scattered garbage and reasonable population,now there is traffic,pollution,innumerable people and slums along side Ferozpur Road and the rest of the city.The capital city of Mughals has now become unliveable with AQI becoming the world’s worst.😢

Wow, how great the city of Lahore was back then when the traffic was not too dense and the life was simple. It saddens me to see how rapidly the population grew leading to crowded roads and intolerance among people on roads. Urbanization has affected the whole country. If we kept check on resources then and population control was our priority, maybe things were a little better now but alas, the golden period is over, now youth are struggling to get jobs because we do not have enough resources to support them in jobs, depression is everywhere. Our policymakers are responsible for pushing our country into a state where the poor and middle class are struggling to make ends meet!

یہ سوال آج کے بچے پوچھ رہے ہیں کیونکہ ان کو پتہ نہیں ہے۔ لاہور ہمیشہ سے گاڑیوں سے بھرا رہا ہے۔ اور 80s میں اچھی خاصی ٹریفک تھی۔ اس وڈیو کی شوٹنگ شاید دن کو اور شاید جمعے والے دن کی گئی ہو گی۔ اسی لئے لگ رہا ہے کہ لاہور خالی ہوتا تھا۔۔۔ اگر رات کے وقت شوٹنگ ہوتی تب پتہ چلتا۔

One thing for sure - 'Allah Akbar' not needed. There is more mullahs, more mosques, more beards, more Islam that is taught on TV, in schools but it does not bring the greenery back. For that you have to go to USA, UK, Europe and amongst Muslims I would go to Turkey but all you people be surprised by Turkish secularism !
Pakistan and Pakistani people were pure at that time, but after Musharraf (1999), Pakistan has changed. Now, you can find cheaters in every corner. There is no shame left in the women of the country, nor in men. They do beghairti khulam khula without any regrets whatsoever in the name of freedom. I wish we could switch back to that era.

بولان کو کیری ڈبہ کہتے تھے۔ مہران بھی تھی۔ اس زمانے میں FX کہتے تھے۔ خیبر بھی تھی جو بعد میں کلٹس بنی۔ ٹویوٹا کرولا عام تھی۔ نسان سنی بہت عام تھی۔ شیراش بھی تھی لیکن زیادہ نہیں چلی۔ اور مرسڈیز کا ایسا لیول تھا جو آج لینڈ کروزر کا ہے
ایک چیز اچھی نظر آ رھی ھے. درخت اور گرین لینڈ ہر طرف اب تو ڈیہاڑی لگانے کے لئے کنکریٹ بنا دیا گیا ہے ہر طرف شہر سے پرندے اور درخت ختم ہو رھے ہیں.

ٹریفک اس زمانے میں بھی اچھی خاصی تھی۔ اس وڈیو کی شوٹنگ دن کے ٹائم کی گئی ہے۔ ہو سکتا ہے جمعے کا دن ہو۔ اس زمانے میں اتوار کی نہیں جمعے کی چھٹی ہوتی تھی۔ اگر اس وڈیو کی شوٹنگ رات کو کی جاتی تب آج کی نسل کو پتہ چلتا کہ اس زمانے میں بھی لاہور کی سڑکیں گاڑیوں سے بھری ہوئی تھیں

We captured whole of Lahore from old and new to modern Lahore between 25th Aug - 27th Aug 1987 for 3 days in a row..
There is not a single building on mian boulevard road, but today it looks entirely different.
