In this video: We discuss the best tips and tricks for claw grip on fortnite battle royale. There is also a handcam to show you guys exactly how I hold my controller! These tips and tricks for holding the controller will make you better at claw if you are not familiar with them yet. I have a lot of experience on claw and I have used a ps4 dual shock controller, vintage 2 scuf controller, normal xbox controller and a microsoft xbox elite series two controller while playing fortnite. I practice my skills and have improved my mechanics on claw by constantly playing in creative and playing fast past scrims and arena games to get myself use to holding the controller in a single claw and double claw position. I recommend using kontrol freeks on the aiming stick of your controllers because it will improve your aim and you after you get used to it, you feel that you have more control while holding the controller in your hands. These are advanced claw tips and tricks that I wish I knew when I started playing single claw and double claw. This is a fortnite 101 video because not only can more advanced claw players learn from this but so can the beginners!

Okay, so I've been doing this 'claw' technique for most of the time I've been gaming, which would be approx. 15 years ago when I was a kid. I started doing this on the Gamecube controller, not sure when or how I started doing this - it really did come naturally to me. Maybe it was the way the Gamecube controller was built that made me adapt to it in this way...
But after all these years I've finally found out that other people do this, and that it's an actual known thing. Some random I was playing with told me about this when I was trying to train him in a game called "For Honor" and was explaining how I use my controller... This is cool!

double claw binds - A for pickaxe, B for reload/interact, X switch mode, Y is jump , my edit bind is down on dpad, I crouch with left on dpad, up on dpad is inventory, sense is 48% 48% 2.1 build and edit, 14% ads horizontal and vertical, exponential, and dead zones are 12 on left stick and 6 on right.

Bro kenbeans is the reason why I play claw I just started today and I feel pretty good can't wait to master it and become cracked
You should also use R stick as your jump and A for crouch, trust me it's worth it, it may feel weird at first but for claw and normal it will help you with having to take your fingers off buttons

Im a 100 Ping ps4 player and i always find videos like this fun to watch. Me switching to claw has made me so much better and making me able to keep up with low ping players. They won't even believe me when I tell them my ping. Right hand claw was a lil uncomfortable for me since my control freeks are so long. So I practiced left hand claw and I've mastered it. Find your own preference and binds to become the best you can be!

Ivan Barrera before I used to get like 5 or 6 and after when I went super sweat I used to get like 18-26 and In arena before I would get like 4 then after I got like 12-15
7:30 theres a option in settings where you can make it so when you release your r2 or whatever your bind is it completes the edit

Nice tips man, I've been playing claw for bout 10 months now and I still have some issues with a few things things... my hands were tending to hurt when I was having a good and long game. that explanation about the grip and stretching was on point dude gonna start trying them on im sure that's probably it, thanks!

Yo Ken in your opinion, do you think me switching my index between r1 and face buttons is good or bad? Also do you recommend switching to someone like innocents or sways binds? Because currently I use l3 as switch mode, touchpad edit, r1 select, r2 confirm, and l1 reset, and I feel good on these settings but I feel like I'll do way better on some other claw settings.

A lot of these tips helped me immensely, although i gotta ask when will the discomfort go away? I’ve been trying to play claw for 5 days now and i can do triple edits retakes etc. but about halfway to max height i get a pain in my hand. do you get used to this eventually?
I dont know the pain ur describing to be honest. Is it just tired ? Instead of pain. After like 2-3 weeks my hands started to feel adjusted

You motivated me to play claw. I started yesterday and it doesn't feel that bad. Should I use a control freek or not, I dont feel too much of a difference with it on and off. I'm also struggling to find a nice sense that I like and feels good and I just catn find any sense that feels good. You don’t need control freaks honestly. I went on and off and I’m not using them right now. Would consider using trigger stoppers !

I used to have that issue so I just swapped r1 and r2 (now I shoot with r1) I also swapped l1 and l2 (I ADS with l1)

Just press r1 to switch to your weapon after editing wall

So I have a question, I have built up playing non claw rigth hand and claw left hand, so do you recon I switch my binds on the left side to the right? Like my sqaure triangle cirle and X with my d pads? Or should I get a scuffed controller for 50 bucks?
I used to play claw and my hands hurt really bad. I still play claw but I now use the ring finger on my right hand for R2, middle finger for R1 and then my index for the buttons. No pain at all because my hand is less of a claw shape
claw feels uncomfortable but its all worth it to be goated on the sticks
edit: I got used to it after a month of playing less than consistently. It's now more comfortable than playing regular.

@Hex trust me bro it’s not worth playing claw. The best thing you can do is get padels or CHANGE your key binds. I personally changed my key binds and I don’t even play claw. The best keybind changes you could do are (L3 TO EDIT) and (R3 TO JUMP) these buttons will help you keep your fingers on the buttons without picking them up. Claw will fuck up your finger it’s really not worth it.
