Apart from being able to sit on it. I like the fact it doesn't fall over easily, unlike the LK35.

I picked up the new singi version this year and I've been in love with it. For just going out for the day it's nice to have the extra seat and I've even been able to take it out with my hot tent and stove on overnighters, though the tent had to be tied on outside the pack. The frame can make fitting non-flexible items inside a pain, but I'll pay that price for the seat. It's also been a godsend when I'm working conventions. I need a bag to carry the odds and ends needed for the work anyways, and having a seat for when I need a breather is great. I have to store it in the overhead bin when flying, but I can live with it being my carry on

The best kit is the kit that works for you. My main pack is a non branded one that I have had for years, plenty of mollie and velcro strap ability, I can neither fault it nor recommend it as I have no idea what it is it other than I got it on ebay about 10yrs ago 🤷‍♀ perfect for a day camp, holds all ur gear, over night? Not so much but I don't often camp far from my car.

I'll always go back to this pack for many reasons ...because it does what I need of it ...and at the end of the day that's all I need

Are the side pouches worth it jj, I have ordered one and haven't ordered a second yet. Just found out after having work done on my house that some scumbag workman has stollen my tbs boar out of my store.

@@JJ_OUTDOORS thanks mate, looking for recommendations on a better replacement knife at some point. At the moment I have my small personal knife and a mora robust. But in the future I will replace this...

@@hazzardoutdoors ask yourself this...did that knife do what you wanted it to do..could it have been better ?? Did you use it enough...why do you need to replace it with something better ??.

Great Review! I've owned the 'new' version for almost two years now. Got mine one sale for about 33% off!
My biggest gripe is the missing hip belt! But for shorter hikes and 'bushcraft' outings it is perfect!

@@alexandergutfeldt1144 mine is the newer version also. I find it would definitely benefit from a hip belt. Although I do have a nasty habit of overcarrying so maybe it's my fault. Do you really need a fridge-freezer for a day camp?
