If anyone is interested in hearing the real stories of Black Market Records back then, you need to interview all of the artists from back then. Lynch Mr. Doctor X Raided Triple Beam PCO Homicide RIP Neither one of us has anything to gain from lying for Ced or about him. I personally thank him for teaching me the game, which put me in a position to get my own bag in the music business.
I met lynch in Columbus he was touring with tech he was getting off the tour bus with a 40 in a paper bag he let me snap a pic with him and he was down to blaze the the joint with me I just had rolled shoots out to lynch
I met Ced Singleton on a live…Jay King from Club Nouveau was doing his evening radio show and I asked him about Ced. Ced had an office in the same building and he came down just to say what up on the live. 💯💯💯💯
Man being from Sacramento and straight up raised on Black Market was epic, I'm pretty sure Cedric had a two door Cadillac Coupe on gold thangs and I remember seeing this dude pull into the tire shop when I was like an 8th grader. Good times.
Overall we had a ball while we were recording for Black Market. We have plenty of real memories and stories from back then to be proud of. Some of us had our own money so that was never an issue. And that day at Priority was wild. Dave kept it 100 about Ced's moves though.
@cedsing I never said you didn't pay me, but we both know the truth. I even gave some love. I had a ball when I was with BMR, and I ain't mad at all. As a matter of fact, thank you for the exposure and the lessons I learned about the business from my experience working with you. You have my email address, I'm ready to clear the air when you are. You know my frustration with you, but I ain't mad.
All he would do is lie and make it seem like he paid all his artists. I still have my BMR contract, I should post it so everyone can see the snake moves in the paperwork themselves.
Lynch wrote, produced, mixed and mastered that entire motherf&&&^ Siccness album. Russ keep saying that he's the first rapper that did that himself. Russ doesnt know hip hop history.
I was amazed to hear Lynch fingerprints was all over the album. Didn’t know he produced like that until later on, boi cold af. He had a unique production sound
I mean, he might’ve been good to X but he definitely stole MILLIONS from Lynch. He’s might’ve been cool to y’all, but at the same time he ain’t steal millions from you either. Shit’s cool till it’s not cool. I think Lynch is valid in his hatred for Cedric.
Oh and by the way, Ced was holding back money Lynch was owed because Lynch or should I say SiccMade records owed Mr. Doctor alot of money, Lynch went spending most of the profits from Doc's album while he was locked up, money that Black Market paid to SiccMade for album sales, so Ced was trying to fix the problem, but Lynch went nuts over his money and got it but then Doc being smart wad now owed by the label so the parent label gets the bill at the same time Doc rushed to record enough material to flush out the albums the contract he had called for plus the optional albums the label could demand from him, because of that he completed his contractual agreement and did it early, also had the options submitted and that meant the label had to payout the money they now owed him, adding in the amount they owed him because of Lynch, the label had to declare Bankruptcy and all the assets(the studios, label offices, vehicles, furniture, equipment, Ceds personal cars, and even giving him the rights to most of his own stuff and several other artist licenses too, im the end Black Market disappeared for a long time, Doc made a couple more albums, and put a couple homies out, collected his money and moved to Oslo, Lynch screwing Black Market over by being over a year late on an album delivery costing the label a great deal with Tommy Boy Records and Doc getting out of his contract screwed Ced
Even if Court interviewed Lynch, I doubt he'd say much about the Ls he took from Ced and Black Market. He was never with the gangsta stuff for real...you think he'd try that home invasion stuff w a Sac artist like a C-BO? hell naw
Other than the ordeal with lynch, Cedric paid his artists, it’s just that alot of the artists didn’t understand business, BMR had a lot of group artists, the deal back then was $1 per unit, if you have 3-4 guys in a group, that’s .25, to .33 cents a unit divided between per rapper, so you sell 50k records (and that didn’t happen much) your only going to make $12500-16500, minus your marketing, promotion, production costs etc that was spent on you as an “artist”.. Cedric is good people.. people actually had to spend money and work a job everyday when all these rappers had to do is sit back smoke blunts, rap, drink malt liquor and hang in the homies.. just saying ✌🏻
It’s not going to be good as one because it’s in a different year era but it’s going to be a great album so the expectations for ppl of seasons 2 shouldn’t be held high.

I met Brotha Lynch Hung back when he was on Tech N9ne's independent Grind Tour 2013 in KC. He is hilarious and down to earth in person.
I met him during the same tour in Nashville. He seemed really appreciative of his fans. He autographed everything I brought.

It definitely wasn’t a lynch production
I remember the Lynch season of da siccness concert in April 1995. Sacramento CA 👊
