This is a really good/comprehensive DIY guide updated for 2022. One thing I would suggest is show the price that you paid for each component throughout the video, that way we can get an idea of what the costs will be, thanks for this series and cheers!
Is the hanger fitting in the pivot cup with this trucks? I tried this with onsra dkp. The hanger was bouncing 3mm........ Was scared that there is to much pressure on the king pin....
build a short board with surf skate adapters to go like 24 mph and like 18 miles on a charge going max speed on flat ground. With 2 belt motors and 97mm wheels. More for having fun and carving and small and easier to carry and travel with. Maybe some kind of handle or just mall grab. Also a tight turning radius and just a normal esc nothing crazy but when you break you slow down the go back wards and stop on hills. This would be a dream travel board it would be cool to see and it's basically the opposite of what your making. Another idea would be to make a carving long board with double king pin or normal trucks and really flexy deck with either 2 cases on the bottom or the one similar to the wowgo at with like 110mm wheels and just have motors that hit like 24 or 28mph and a good esc and a solid 20 miles of range. One other thing that would be cool to watch would be a summer board mod where you mod the battery and look at the inside bc that board is cool. The short board is what would be good the rest are just if you get desperate for content. Also a podcast where you talk about eucs and ebikes and one wheels and why you stick with eskates. Just throwing ideas out and i know you have probably posted something similar to almost everything above. Also making polls about what videos your viewers want to see.
@@rickyeverett Very nice you answered that question Ricky. I assume two things are hard to accomplish with DIY; real flexy deck including flexy battery pack and enclosure? Also making a carbon deck?
Looking very good mate! I would be interested in seeing a trully stealthy black board that could be made. Maybe using the black paint 3.0 or like they did for that BMW Vantablack?
I would love to see a build video or even just a review around the TKP trucks that @Savage1 on the forum is making. Maybe you could get him on a call or a podcast as well and talk about some design aspects if he wants to, would be interesting to hear some insights. EMTB content should definitely come as well. It's worth noting that EMTB with heelstraps is a completely different beast from regular esk8, being strapped in can be a mental block in the beginning, requires getting used to. Though I know you snowboard so that probably helps with that. You could also get great riding footage, as the UK is full of pump tracks and such where EMTBs really shine (well from what I can tell from Trampa videos at least, lol). I would also love to see you covering this year's eeb-it (race) if you are into EMTB by then :D Also it would be very interesting to see a stealth build with a wooden integrated deck. Tomiboi's decks and Haya decks come to my mind first, but there are others too just hard to find and in low quantities. Hiding the battery in a wood deck just has a certain appeal to it. I would love to build a board around an integrated deck one day. I would personally use something like a Haya HB83+ with Boardnamics M1 gear drives and 6355s. Maybe a TKP front truck to spice things up a bit. Or maybe I would CNC cut some custom adapters for my cast Ronin trucks, I love those trucks so much. Too bad that not much esk8 stuff exists for it.
what I'd like to see is a 3-wheeled off-road skateboard, using an electric scooter rear wheel, with a disk brake. I think the batter should be on the top of the board, held down with a strap, and should be easily removable. You should be able to carry one or two extra batteries in your backpack. The controller should be velcroed to a fingerless glove and have the speed control and break both operated by separate cables (no dumb wireless electronics) The battery should go to something like a light dimmer switch that controls the speed and then directly to the motor, this would eliminate all the crazy electronics that are being used in these skateboards. I'd like to have old switch step-in bindings on a board, so you could ride it aggressively like a snowboard and easily pop in and out. Maybe I'm nuts, but this is what I'd like to see...
If you start doing podcasts again, I would love to see some episodes focused on DIY stuff, maybe with some guests from the DIY space as well. A few guest ideas are Lee Wright from Apex Customs, Kevin from Boardnamics, Ernesto from Kaly, Alan from Eboosted, Ben from BigBen enclosures / Apex Customs, Frederic from Flux Motion / electricboardsolutions, someone from Lacroix, Ben from Nexusboards.
Is part 2 ever coming out? I am really interested to see the next video :)
Did I miss something or Part 2 and 3 are missing?

Nice to see you back, hope everything is squared with the people who bought your M5 board.
Thank you yes I believe there is a couple of people that we are dealing with to sort out any issues but yes good to be back thanks 😅

Is there a list of parts and links to purchase?
I made a spreadsheet of the parts mentioned here. HMU and I will share it with.
@@danphillips2342 hey bro do you still have the spreadsheet??
@@esixsin2.080 I do what is the best way to share it with you?

How much will the board cost in total?
Very nice and clean build. Reasonable components are used, just must say wow! Thanx for sharing!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hey man great to see you back doing videos, absolutely loved this video , how cool does the bottom look 👌
Cheers John next one will be wiring the board up ready to go 👍🏼 and thanks I like trying different things out and making them my own 👍🏼

Cheers for the input 👍🏼 you know where I can check out those trucks ? By savage1 they sound interesting 😁
I’d like to see the most stealthy looking eskate that can be made.
I have an idea complete your build build.....😂
Washers.... Don't forget washers on the truck hangers... They help prevent the truck nuts pulling through the board 🤣
Don’t worry I won’t 😅😂
