Honestly. I guess I'm the minority because I LOVE Boris and the Dark Survival. It's one of those "turn off my brain and kick back" kind of games. If I'm being completely honest I think that it's way too hated, because anyone with a brain can tell you that Bendy in Nightmare Run is easily the most stupid game JDS has ever made, next to Showdown Bandit. Bendy in Nightmare Run, unlike Boris and the Dark Survival, was just a pathetic cash grab that was barely functional and was just another lousy ripoff of Subway Surfers. Like seriously, come on, Boris and the Dark Survival isn't all that bad. Obviously it isn't as good as Ink Machine or Dark Revival but it was just a fun little thing to keep us waiting for DR to be finished. It's sort of the same thing Scott Cawthon did when he made Freddy in Space 2 to keep fans hyped. Obv not saying Boris is better lol. TL;DR, Boris and the Dark Survival wasn't as bad as everyone said. Bendy in Nightmare Run was the worst Bendy game and honestly worst thing to ever come out of JDS.
Imo I think it's okay. It's a pretty cool survival game that would help kill time. Sure the gameplay can get repetitive but the different monsters and chases make up for it.
Honestly I think BATDS (Boris and the Dark Survival) has/had alot of Potential for a Fun Game, although it really is rough on many Edges; Be it the AI or the Game loop getting Boring quickly. I literally made a own Steam Guide for a Fan Expansion with Crafting and such lol. Honestly a Fangame that expands on this premise would be great...
For those who are wondering, this game was made as a quickly made rushed game to create hype and keep the community interested while the devs worked on Bendy and the Dark Revival.
