The greatest defensive player to never win a Defensive Player of the Year award Scottie Pippen. But Scottie did a LOT more than that as they built around Jordan with Horace Grant, John Paxson and acquiring Bill Cartwright for Charles Oakley. Plus switched out coaches - Doug Collins to Phil Jackson - to reach the maturity, potential and pinnacle. Scottie did it all and Jordan never won a championship without Pippen.

One thing I admired about MJ...and I think a main reason why he had such a global appeal was he's political neutrality. .he presented himself just as a basketball player and a businessman that's it. He never engaged in divisive politics and in turn alot of people regardless of political affiliation and beliefs..were fans of Jordan and the Bulls.
In a way too you can also see that with Messi and more prominently Cristiano Ronaldo..they show themselves as athletes and family men..but never as political influencers and it's cause of that I think they are able to attract such a wide and diverse following and if any judgements or criticism..it's just directed towards their football performance and not their political values because they never put it out in the first place.

Did Pippen just say “ Michael Jordan would’ve had more followers on social media Cristiano Ronaldo if social media existed back in the 1990s”.
    Pippen is mistaken.

Well if social media includes CHina and North Korea, that alone will out numbered ronaldo, since Basketball way popular to those communist country, Rodman becomes an ambassador to North Korea by the way

Mike will get another thing to fuel him, imagine a fan from other team twit against him, HE WILL THAT TOO PERSONAL, and he might not retire because there will be haters or talking stats like today lol, back in the day breaking stats is not a thing, only lebron use this to stay relevant

A lot of NBA players said it, this guy is a huge jerk. You can see he is a hater on a lot of subjects. And he's really not that bright, when they're talking about quadruple doubles and say Wemby will never get the steals like Hakeem did (he never got 10 staels because to get a quadruple double, you need 4 stats at 10 so it can be points-rebounds-pass-blocks)

Good for Ronaldo. But if social media was around in the 80’s, Diego Maradona would triple that number.
