The eloquent and ravishing oboist is the Abigail (beauty & brains) of the orchestra! I was totally moved when the orchestra members bade farewell to each other, with the background music of Elgar’s Nimrod (from 40.42 mins onwards) adding poignancy to the sad moment. Maestro Barenboim has a way with Elgar’s music which is beyond words.
Yes, Music is a universal language, bridging those things which would separate us as human beings...the things we have in common, and embracing our differences. What a wonderful living demonstration that is the healing act of communion..
La paz llegará a ese enigmático punto del planeta el día que reine nuestro Señor Jesucristo. El díá en que Israelíes y Palestinos reconozcan la perfección en la obra de Dios, Jesucristo mediante, el alfa y el omega, el primero y el último. El día que se oigan sus preceptos y se ore (como Él en la cruz lo hizo) por los enemigos. Ese Día reinará la dulcísima paz de Jesús en el mundo. Ambos, musulmanes y judíos, en cierta modo relativizan la violencia en sus escrituras, y en algunos casos puede ser justificable, solo en Jesucristo hallamos la paz absoluta.
