@@moestacolli1886 I was lol
You should do the Ute with a rear engine
Krotch Kickers was awesome 👏🏽
Braaap
The way James explained the driveshaft being the “fuse” really made me think differently about that. That dude is really damn smart.
In engineering I think they call it 'mode of failure.'
That really is a great way look at it. I never really thought about it that way either.
Good ol weakest (cheapest) link
I run a carbon fiber driveshaft… holds 900 all day long…
I think 20 minutes with Denofa and you’d be slinging this thing backwards into corners. He’s the king of Full throttle rips through every turn.
fr
No doubt. Always has the most exciting runs
I heard he mows his lawn at full throttle
Denofa lives like 20 miles from me...I actually ran into him on Facebook marketplace looking for bmw 318ti parts.
This was the most humbled I’ve ever seen ole Cleet! Normally he exceeds the standard of anything with a throttle. He will be owning this car soon. So much determination!
Slurp slurp
I'm pretty sure he already does.
Like driving his jet boat…only different!
I think he was spot on when he said it was like jumping into an F1 car, this is Vaughn's old Formula D setup so its operational envelope is basically balls-out or nothing. Much higher ceiling but it's a whole different animal compared to a c5 with a motor, coilovers, and an angle kit. I've been there on a much lower level, I thought I was hot shit in my street RX8. It's got coilovers, big strut tower braces, sway bars, light wheels and summer tires but then my buddy let me drive his RX8 set up for the top levels of autocross. Supercharged, fully stripped and caged, brakes that don't work until they are hot, aggressive alignment, everything else basically full racecar, and tires that are so sticky they look like a chocolate drumstick with the nuts on top until you go faster than like 60 mph. I was slower in that thing because you have to send it SO HARD to get it to perform how it should, very humbling experience. And even that is nowhere near what Cleet is trying to do, Klutch Kickers has a lot of insane talent and some absolutely dialed machines, he's definitely a braver man than I for jumping into a new car and trying to send it for the first time there.
@@michaelwynne4346 I see what you did there 👍🏻
Hey cleet just wanted to say it looks like you're having a similar problem to LZ when he first came over to RTR. The sidewalls on the mustang's tires gets really soft when youre off throttle and you will spin if youre not on throttle during transition. Bury the pedal and youll be good! lol
you can tell this is pushing cleeters driving skills because hes having to keep both hands on the wheel instead of being lazy and keeping one on the handbrake hahaha. keep it up!
Why is it lazy to have one hand on the steering wheel and one on the handbrake. If he feels comfortable doing it. It isn’t wrong
@@neiltooley455 lazy as in relaxed, not lazy lazy. Difference.
@@neiltooley455 nothing is wrong but it isnt helping, actually just forcing yourself to do it with both hands would make you better in the long run
@@neiltooley455 because using the handbrake is lazy
@@neiltooley455 you have more control over the car when you have 2 hands on the steering wheel, plus the handbrake is just a handicap in most situations
James going "oh" and zooming in on the drive shaft has me dead 😂
I would love to see these guys try out some road course racing, if just for fun once or twice. Good excuse to bring the Dale Truck out!
Did you miss Cleetus in the Stadium truck? He almost won the second day.
Watch at the KSR racing channel, Kevin and Cleetus dit a endurance road race together
I was pitted next to him 2 years ago at the champcar Sebring race. He does it. Just doesn’t post it up
@@burgessschnitzius4987 I would count stadium trucks as another genre entirely. It's vehicles designed to jump. We're talking the softest suspension vs road racing which is the most stiff. I loved that video though don't get me wrong.
@@curveball9638 thanks for that lead! I raced in Champ Car and so that's littersly exactly what I was looking for them to do.
Cleetus yelling "IDIOT" after a stunt always, makes me chuckle
Maddie wasn't there to tell him "Don't suck"
Ok, I have to admit I think you are an incredible natural driver with crazy talent, but watching the river swallow the mini jet.and your facial expression... like oh I just made doo doo in my shorts and the drive shaft breakage was most impressive...cause it just means your human and I have mad respect for anyone that puts in the work like you! Thanks for the great entertainment!
let alone the guy doesnt edit that out. He shows the good and bad. I've got a lot of respect towards ol cleet for that he seems like a solid guy all the way around.
Cleet's used to grunty LS motors with lots of bottom end torque. This thing is a high revving race motor that doesn't come alive until 5k.
Me watching the first couple of cars run: WATCH THE GRASS!
Cleetus 2 minutes later: destroys the grass
Great comment. Made me lol.
Dangit. I'll probably never read comments before posting.
Me too, I remember him complaining at everybody who destroyed grass when it was first installed.
Allen the Lawn Care Nut was crying while watching this.
@@Jaun2Three all the way to the bank and the sod farm!!
You'll be ripping that RTR like a pro in no time at all. Its Crazy what Vaughn is doing with RTR.
RTR IS TAKING OVER!!!! AND I LOVE IT 👍
who would of thought the guy would go from just having a white corvette to all the different cars and own racetrack he has now it's honestly amazing.
Maybe Cooper should start trying to put whistles on his car
@@metrickarma do you think ole coop isn’t content?
@@TristanAD_ coop has ok content good for him for going on his own but he’ll always be in the shadow of cleetus
Gotta love the beauty of Capitalism at work
YEA BACK WHEN HE WAS PUTTING WHISTLES ON HIS VETT EXHAUSTS
Lol. Another learning curve. Be looking fly after 4-8 hrs of good practice. Looking tired too. Might not hurt to get a couple of good nights of sleep. Pushing it hard lately.
Cannot wait to see how far you can go with that car!! Definitely gonna need some practice time but once your comfortable I think you'll win a round of Klutch Kickers
Doesent look like it can make one day, already broke......
@@danhammond8406 yea that was driver error though. He even admits it in the video.. everyone makes mistakes
@@danhammond8406 its an alloy driveshaft, not steel like you're used to, its lighter and will make the car faster, but it'll also be more fragile, dump the clutch in any car with grippy tyres and you're bound to break something
Im more interested in where his quality content is these days, seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel lately. Light on content, combining videos, shorter video duration, oddball material, etc. are all the indicators of a stumbling channel.
@@lastofthebest5102 I feel like he's spreading himself too thin.. he has so much content it's hard to keep up. Most of it is pretty damn good too. Just think he should slow down a bit and set a new driving goal and go for it..
Allen The Lawn Care Nut is not going to be very happy to see this kind of lawn destruction. But at the same time he's probably smiling because it's job security, and more content for his channel, which I hope to see soon!
Did they continue their contract beyond last year? I was hoping to see him still do the lawn!
@@HumpingBunny I'm not sure of the contract dates, but Allen released a video at the Freedom Factory in May.
I was thinking the same poor Allen going to have his work cut out for him
Cleetus needs to tell himself: "Stay off the grass!!"
All I kept thinking was about the grass every time
The synchronous 'ohhh.' between James and Ty was hilarious at 10:34
I got one of these messages to is it spam or real
@@aaronjarvis6026 100% spam BS.
I love how when you guys brake stuff now it’s just taken as it’s all apart of business and don’t get caught up in it. Keep up the great work much love from Saskatchewan Canada.
Let's just be honest once the RTR is dialed in and you have some real seat time there's not a car in the entire fleet that would be half as good as a drift car... love watching you learn and dial In a new ripper
That may be so, but Neighbor is just way too damn cool and is his OG drifter/tire shredder!
Uh neighbor
@@wyattanonymous5618 uhh neighbor isn't a drift car, at all. its a stock cop car with 1000hp lol.
@@wyattanonymous5618 not even close
@@overyonderjustapiece yea awesome for shredding tires and having fun it's not competitive what so ever with the kinda cars at klutch kickers
Cleeter.. I still can't believe you bought a race racetrack and brought us along for the entertainment. Thanks bro.
Ya its going to take some seat time to get her dialed in but I think the coolest part in all this is Cleetus is always willing to drive everything and anything and puts 100% effort into it at the drop of a dime. To go ahead and go from Race week to jump right into clutch kickers in a brand new car takes some courage and 🏀 ⚾️🥎⚽️🏈!
Cleetus. I met this guy from this area one day at my work and I said I was originally from this area to and that I liked the watch late models ect. I said something about this track and he knew about it’s history from when it first opened up and was built and that it was always busy and packed before you got to take it over he said many years it was empty and now he’s proud to say he will be coming back and watching what your doing with this in your time of owning it. He was excited
I'm sure the temptation is there to upgrade to stronger driveshafts, but just replace with the same and leave it how it is! Better to have a sacrificial driveshaft than to have to rebuild the trans every month.
Yup driveshaft tube is cheaper than what it attached to.
don't have to lose the transmission either if it's built right
I agree with you. And James. When he said it in the video. :)
@@mjay6245 Better a driveshaft then a clutch or diff though!
Smaller tires while he gets used to the car's dynamics too.
It’s always good to have a weak link in the drivetrain that is cheaper than the rest of the setup
This car is a huge step up from donnie and rocket. Its gonna take a few to figure it out and when you do its gonna be awesomeness.
Dang I almost forgot about Rocket, haven't seen it in a bit
lmao rocket REALLY didn't last long
@@zapthefirst3423 Rocket is Maddi's ripper once she has the baby. She's been pregnant for months now.
Was awesome to meet you this weekend at the event! You, Maddie, and James were so great to my son and all take pics with him. Something he will remember for a very long time!
Dang I didn't know Cleetus was a hippie, he was ONNN that grass 😂😂
I love this. Because it shows the difference between a comp com and a grassroots car. Its not really the power, but the grip. Especially because you're forced to drive hard, but yet you still have to keep the car in check.
What a unit
Yup. Already broke, didn't last an hour
You'll get it, Cleet! A new car takes time to get dialed to work for your driving style. When I get a new dirtbike every year, setting it up for me takes lots of time on the Motocross track before it's dialed and I get decent lap times. Sometimes a couple weeks before I'm comfortable enough to hit the races. You got this, brother!
Just a common ID-10-T problem with the driveshaft, can't wait to see you get comfortable in this badass ride
Good thing there were no crowds around...Mustang life...ty Cleetus and crew!
I'm I'm clear water Florida for the first time in my life for my son's make a wish trip, I'd love to stop by and take pictures. I wish yall had a gift shop 🤣
From the video of you coming home with Leroy etc, to today, the dedication to your plan is evident. You have matured just as your business has, and it’s for the good of all motorsports. You now have become a legend, and a great American role model, or should I say ROLL MODEL! I’m freakin proud of you Garrett! Never change who you are, and never forget where you came from!
That stock RTR is legit! Can't wait to see more drifting.
Keep working on it! Also I recommend some of those red/white apex on the out and inner ends of those asphalt turns. It will save you grass in the long run!
Nice that your have started to have both hands on the steering wheel, its gonna help alot i. Just keep grinding
i love seeing stangs. thanks for the video man
for some reason youtube unsubbed me from you
“Fatal Traction” a summer 2022 blockbuster starring Cleetus and Jackstand Jimmy, coming to a driveshaft shop near you!

Don't you worry big fella! Couple of hours practice and you'll be singing 💪

let's talk 👆👆👆
10:46 - "Here's your prize." How can you not love Cleetus?
Awesome video man! I can't wait to see you comfortable in that bad mamma jamma!
First time in a long time ol Cleeter did not just jump into something new and kill it. This is a step up. He'll master it in a few days.
Can see your anxiety showing. Its ok to fail. We all get to learn at the same time then. Keep up the content.
Cleetus you have came so far in this world That we live in. You are an inspiration to everybody across America I completely love the videos My daughter and I watch every new one you have and always support you Good blessings to you my friend.
that mustang is so insane!
Didn't last one day, just like a ford. Drive out and walk back
@@danhammond8406 Driveshaft snapped. Nothing to do with ford. Don’t be a typical nephson.
First time going to Klutch Kickers and lemme say that it was probably one of my favorite motorsport experiences. Got to meet Cleet, chill as hell dude, and saw plenty of awesome cars. And that RTR Mustang? Super clean and mean as hell
Nothing better than getting the practice in "after" the event! Good to have at least seen Jackstand in a video if just for a minute ....
Jackstand, Jackstand..............!
Worked 10 hours today in the 98 degree direct KY sun, but the worst part was waiting till I drove home to watch this video!!! LETS GOOO BROTHER!! I’m so excited for the new RTR drift car… SHEEEEEESH!!!
Can tell how much better this cars going to be than Donnie by how much harder it is to try. I didn't think it would be that different, thought Donnie was up there, keen to see how this ends up, hopefully 3 wheeling through the inside clips
My favorite part of cleets rtr is the wobbly wing mirror. Lil guys hanging on for dear life
Can't wait to see Madi ripping in Donnie at the next Klutch Kickers!
That would be great. More Madi in all the videos would be awesome.
Hard to do when pregnant.

thats so awesome that you bought VJ's old chassis of mustang, with the modern quick throttle and 9000 rpm ford motor
Gotta get Taylor Ray out there to help ya practice, especially when he finishes his new Corvette. Yall would tear it up!
Best idea.
I don't watch T ray, does he have a fd spec car? I was thinking its more of a job for Adam LZ, he drives a mustang built by the same people
@@jesse6779 agreed, Adam and or Chelsea need to get some sessions in the passenger seat teaching ol cleet to rip this insain unit.
@@jesse6779 his little miata must be solidly hooked up to do as good as it does in these events but yeah he's building a pro level c6. plus he's a better vibe in a learning environment than the other 2 RtR guys
Perfect time for that one shirt. The driveshaft has been designed to let go that way so instead you'd be replacing a rather cheap and easy to access driveshaft than a costly transmission or rear end or axles so that's all good!
Now the ol Cleeter can push harder and harder because the car can take it! Just a bit of time and it will work out for some consistent sideways action!
I’d like to see Cleetus race a really good streetstock in a class at his track!!
If he would run 4-5 classes of asphalt cars at his track he’d have. 25+ cars in ea class and fans packed in there on Friday nights. I’d love to see Cleetus actually race a “Real” circle track car not some hill billy dirt hobby stock. But a nice top 5 asphalt “StreetStock”. He’d love it and do well
You not driving it hard enough reminds me of an episode of everyone's favorite drift-car anime Initial D, where the main character's father (a drifting legend himself) tells his so to "make sure you rev it to 12,000" and it takes the main character half the race to realize that his father _specifically told him to_ rev it that high instead of saying that's the _limit_ and the rest of the race everything just works so much better 😁
A man of culture i see
I'm sure everyone knows it wouldn't be a Cleeter car if it did get broken. No ifs, just whens.
Its great that you guys show the bad stuff and issues you face so people don't think its so easy to get everything working right the first try.👍
It was acting like a typical mustang just without running over pedestrians
Ha!
Didn't hit any trees or poles or oncoming traffic either
Like a Mustang leaving a car meet.
Keep your head up and work on getting better. We love you so much and completely understand the learning curve that is ahead for you.
Whatsapp
Love the Simply safe add drop as you're explaining how you just busted your stang lol
Damn! you tore up your own beloved grass! Don't worry, a bit of practice and your groundskeeper will be able to sleep at night... You will get it, keep at it!
"Okay everyone come back , I'm ready now" 🤣🤣🤣
"The Mustang screams as it flattens the crowds" very poetic
The Takata belts have me rolling
Once he get used to how that monstang handles, it's going to be beautiful watching it drift
I'm so used to those engines in lates and modifieds seeing a mustang sound that good is wild
Man....love the honesty on your channel. This was NOT a good look for you today but that's why we love you guys. Keep up the awesomeness brother!
Now that was an interesting comment, James. "The driveshaft acts as a fuse." That is a great analogy.
You have no idea the pure joy I have…. Watching this corvette guy collect the baddest of Ford’s ✌🏽😎
Love that Yal found that quick change life. Us Dirt Track guys can do a gear change in minutes. It’s so easy
Seeing you practice again on your track is such an amazing break in all the live action yall have been giving the past 2 months. Love to see it.
Props for giving it a try in front of a bunch of people that are sort of expecting to see you put on a show. Cleeter always giving his all.
Seeing the driveshaft as a fuse is a good outlook. Far better breaking that than anything else
6:40 don't know much about but I've got a feeling Monsieur Jackstand will be teaching us a whole lot about it in the next few months.
Might want to get a dozen or so of those driveshafts made up…..lol
Oooops. " can we get a clean up on lane 3 please?" That car sounds wicked. Ole Cleeter will have this thing figured out in no time. Guaranteed.
Fail, practice, getting better, practice, break it, fix it and repeat. letter rip tater chip. Or in your case drive shafts. Hell yeah brother
Hey Cletus I live over here in eastern Oregon and from the Oregon coast cleared over to the Carolina coast every man between your things that he can drive like you like a news for his son you really have a talent I love watching your shows and maybe sometime when I'm going to cross they had to go see some family maybe I can come by the freedom Factory and say hi to you all if that would be

If it’s too loose in the back then you need more swaybar on the front.
If you put more swaybar in the back it’s gonna make it even more loose.
UH, no.
lol @ Jimmy... "That aluminum driveshaft was like a 'fuse', it popped before that rear did".

seeing all the cars and tents set up behind the track made it look like a pro contest
Can’t believe you bought this car!! I have a few of the hotwheel versions of this exact car just different livery!
Nice consistent throttle... such a great driver my dood
@11:27 . What Jackstand said about the driveshaft being a "fuse" for the more expensive parts. Brilliant, good ides, safes parts harder to change and more expensive. Learn something new everyday
Love the fact that you admit/show your not a pro! Work in progress
It would be pretty cool if you got some asphalt extensions on the infield turns or put down some kerbs to keep the grass looking fresh
congratulations you have been selected as one of my shortlisted winner text me up 🎁
Things like this are what make guys like Ken Block such freakish talents. To be able to go from a 1500hp drift car,....to a 2000hp gymkhana car,.....to a 3000hp Pikes Peak Hoonigan monster and so on???? And all the inputs from each car being VASTLY DIFFERENT??? Well,......just legendary. Its so difficult.
I came to Friday qualifying and it was great fun! Hot burgers, cold beer, and a little bit of live action. Hell yeah brother🤟
The simultaneous “Oh” and the clanking of aluminum got me.
Dont feel too bad, like james said, it's a sacrificial alum driveshaft that will break before the much more expensive trans/axle. That is a badass car.
