I was gonna give you a hard time for this not being a true "one light" shot. But the final product is too beautiful haha really good stuff as always, man! Keep it up, definitely inspiring.
I like it good job. I see some critics here ripping him a new one because he did multiple shots and then composited them together in Photoshop. Most pros do compositing all the time it is called getting the job done. I know if you want to be real artsy about it and some how use a single light source to create a dozen different light hits all with perfection is a great challenge. Do so I'm not going to discourage any one from that type of challenge but when faced with tight deadlines and actual clients who usually way beyond hyper neurotic picky, breathing down your throat to get some thing done quickly all the while looking great with perfection then you must employ all techniques that you know will work. He did what he said he will do and did it well with full information and quite loudly so even the hard of hearing could listen if not understand.
Hey Skyler! I've started shooting food photography just a few months ago and now I'm shooting Michelin star restaurants and the best chefs in Portugal. Thank you so much for your tutorials, they do help a lot! Cheers!
Dude that was excellent! Love how you made it quick and simple, probably took you ages to make the video😅 but I’m super impressed, totally subscribing for more 👊🏻
The final image is gorgeous. I had no idea so much compositing went into product photography but this info is definitely something to add to the arsenal
I really appreciate you posting actual informative videos that will IMPROVE our photography game, and not just camera reviews, where it really doesn’t matter that much. Thanks!
You make it look so easy. Guess that's what experience and hard work does. I love Fstoppers and their product shot but this is on another level. Awesome job!
Great video, quick suggestion if you don't mind me sharing it with you; using a cushion on your seat and being able to see you higher could make the frame better balanced.
I'm not a photographer. My hobby is smartphone photography, but I like watching these kind of tutorials because loads of them tips are applicable to smartphone photography too. I was never really aware of how much work goes into product photography to get these gorgeous images. The final pic of the bourbon bottle is just out of this world, but wow, does it take time and effort to get there! Anyway, thx for this great video! I'll make sure to check out the rest of your channel and will probably follow you around a bit in the future. Keep up the good work! 👍🏼😉
Amazing video man, 20 yrs in Photoshop and though I very rarely do product shots for my web design biz, I’d never thought about w a tripod for my iPhone I can move lights around and w remote cam click just later layer up the shots and mask out however all looks best!$ 🙌🏻⚡️💪🏻💻📱💥👏🏻
Hollyyy shiieettt.. how come only now I get your video recommended? I was looking for a channel with a really good informative knowledge about product/food photography and I found you.. subbing for sure.. amazing work..
New subscriber here. Really great introduction to your work and I look forward to learning more from your videos! Honestly though, you had me at the opening mail delivery video as you passed through the trees- pretty dang creative, funny too! Thanks so much!
One light used multiple ways more correctly. When I saw the thumbnail I was like "how did he light the background and the bottle with one light" and then I saw it was several takes composited. A good work around if you don't have lots of equipment.

I have intense anxiety about a video shoot the other day and it's definitely an upper
This is amazing, not only because of the outcome, but because of your energy, how you quickly showed edits, and... how it all makes sense. Thank you!
Cheers, I really appreciate those comments, as all of those are my main goals in education.
