MUNDANITY
“Mundanity” developed slowly without a clear idea of where I was going. The idea of the everyday, of the commonplace began to take hold of me. There’s humour in every verse but can the ordinary become poetic? As I was developing the poem, I came across Walt Whitman’s “The Commonplace”. Whitman exalts ordinariness in his short poem. He “sings” it. In my case I recount it in quite regular ballad-like quatrains and in the last stanza I take it to existential lyrical heights. The simple music is played on a synthesiser and the Japanese taiko drum. The illustrations, one for every verse, enhance the whole experience. Sometimes I think that the three components of many of my video are too much for ordinary human beings to grasp all at once. They might be better appreciated separately.

QUOTIANITÀ
"Quotidianità" si è sviluppata lentamente senza un'idea chiara di dove stessi andando. L'idea del quotidiano, del ordinario ha iniziato a impossessarsi di me. C’è una vena umoristica in ogni strofa ma può la normalità diventare poetico? Mentre sviluppavo la poesia, mi sono imbattuto in "The Commonplace" di Walt Whitman. Whitman esalta l'ordinarietà nella sua breve poesia. La "canta". Nel mio caso io la racconto in quartine abbastanza regolari simili a una ballata e nell’ultima strofa la porto brevemente a vette liriche esistenziali. La musica semplice è suonata con un sintetizzatore e il tamburo giapponese taiko. Le illustrazioni, una per ogni verso, arricchiscono l'intera esperienza. A volte penso che le tre componenti di molti dei miei video siano troppo per gli esseri umani comuni da afferrare tutte in una volta. Potrebbero essere apprezzate meglio separatamente.

ALLTÄGLICHKEIT
"Alltäglichkeit" entwickelte sich langsam, ohne dass ich eine klare Vorstellung davon hatte, wohin ich gehen würde. Die Idee des Alltäglichen, des Gewöhnlichen begann mich zu ergreifen. In jeder Strophe steckt Humor, aber kann das Gewöhnliche poetisch werden? Als ich das Gedicht entwickelte, stieß ich auf Walt Whitmans "The Commonplace". Whitman verherrlicht in seinem kurzen Gedicht das Gewöhnliche. Er "singt" es. In meinem Fall erzähle ich es in ziemlich regelmäßigen balladenartigen Vierzeilern und hebe es am Ende kurz in existenzielle lyrische Höhen. Die einfache Musik wird auf einem Synthesizer und der japanischen Taiko-Trommel gespielt. Die Illustrationen, eine für jede Strophe, verstärken das ganze Erlebnis. Manchmal denke ich, dass die drei Komponenten vieler meiner Videos für normale Menschen zu viel sind, um sie auf einmal zu erfassen. Sie lassen sich vielleicht besser getrennt voneinander betrachten.
