I almost never use anything to glue underneath the skin. hemp sometimes, rarely acrylic.

my guess is that it is cling film.
it is not really needed, it just helps when moving skin around, can make it easier on the skin and your nerves

It’s a plastic wrap cut into tape size. And I like to use it for the ease of moving and shifting the skin.

Formalin mix. Glycerine and formaldehyde mix. I have explained it in many of my videos.
