First go kill the other enemy around then run away to get free deathblow and after that you can go talk to a samurai that is standing there and he will help you to kill him ( you can use oil and fire too)

Didn't even consider the gun, but for someone who just defeated this knob yesterday I find it a good way to stop his posture bar from decreasing!
