I've been thinking about trying to get a nitro, this one is actually kinda fast, I think this will be my first nitro model. great video and great location, I'm subbing!
@NitroRC96 they are like that for the 1st Gallon or so at about 1 1/4 gallon mine just wanted to be rich then it changed and wanted to be lean as a rail and now it's a beast I have a video releasing today at 330 pm that's all my xl and it's lean and mean
@@electricnitrorc A few, haha get ready! Clutch spring snapped, clutch bell bolt loosened out and worn the bearings out, no loctite in the 3 speed gearbox grub screws and they loosened, had to adjust the shift points, engine came loose, bolt had no loctite, front differential stripped, on and off switch kept switching off after landing a jump. Hope yours has been good! Any issues?
@@electricnitrorc Wheel fell off!?Wow, definitely wasn’t tight enough from the factory. Hopefully it stays good for you! I do like the 4.6, will probably buy one hahah
What are your carb settings? I don't think factory are even close to right. I took mine apart when I bought it and did the diffs, transmission, and servos. Having a hard time keeping it running!
@@hellraiser7935 For me out of the box the low speed needle was set too lean, had to richen it during break-in. What issues are you having? I have mine set slightly rich, if I remember rightly the low speed needle is flush with the carb and the high speed is about 3/4 of a full turn from the stock settings. Factory basic settings always need adjustment in my opinion, they’re just a safe, rich setting to get it run in and started then adjust to your liking. Check your clutch, do your wheels spin a lot at idle if you lift the truck off the ground? One of my clutch springs snapped literally 6 tanks in, during break in. I never thought it would be that at the time and thought it was a tune issue. It always kept cutting out when I let go of the throttle, braked or came to a stop as the clutch dragged due to a snapped spring putting load on the engine at idle or braking. You did good taking it apart, I didn’t. Should have done it myself. Had quite a few screws come loose during my time driving it!

@MrBrumbrine That's a lot of issues 😲 only issue with my 4.6 so far is that a wheel came off, so I'm nowhere near yet 😅

Hello - Nice video, i have The same. Which kind of glow plug do you use ?
@@Cafu1887 Thank you! I use a HPI B5, medium glow plug.
Is the engine stock on this video and what plug do you run it if it is the stock engine?
Yes fully stock engine and exhaust, I did change the plug to a medium glow plug, HPI B5. Runs great!
