    I love MADISON!!! I have been watching her since she was 14 yrs old. I appreciate how she carries herself on and off the court. My hope is that she wins a Grand Slam or 2. Then when she is ready she can help steer the WTA to sustained growth. Continued success!

      @@GovernmentIssued True. Luckily she has a 4:1 record vs Samsonova, and even records against Pegula and Putintseva. So if she can keep her mental game intact, she's got a decent chance.

      @ true. and it’s not only the serves, she doesn’t really have any winning shots. her only winning tactic is keeping the ball in play until the opponent makes a mistake but that doesn’t really work against the top players

    Keys is absolutely mashing the ball. She's playing with a new racquet and it's really working for her. Also, she looks fitter than she has in years. She was chasing balls down even when she didn't really need the point. I think she could be a real factor in Melbourne. Let's go Maddie!

      She changed her strings too in 2023 I think and she instantly went deep in 2 slams (probably should have beaten Aryna in atleast one of those matches). This is another really smart switch, the Yonex with new strings has created power and stability. Love it!

  • @Scottrevans87

    Madison changed her serve motion. She was a platform server similar to Federer / Djokovic and has changed to bringing the right foot forward - seems like it’s helping her load & uncoil more.

  • @tomgraham6071
    @tomgraham6071 15 дней назад +10

    Kasatkina's game has always been perfect for Keys. Slow loop coming, lots of time to position the feet, ball sits up nicely, gobble gobble. That's how Keys likes to play.
    To beat her you have to retrieve to frustrate her, but also not give her plenty of slow loopy droopy time to set up her feet, which she is not good at. If you can do those things we know she so often falls apart and can lose to anyone. Kasatkina is sadly just prey for her because of how she plays.

    • @jordanaus75
      @jordanaus75 15 дней назад +1

      A bigger serve, a low slice and deeper placement would help. Hard to move Keys around if you're always on the back foot. But its easier said than to execute of course.

    • @tomgraham6071
      @tomgraham6071 15 дней назад +1

      @jordanaus75 yes it's all very easily said, true, but plenty of lesser players than Kasatkina have undone Keys. She's one of the most beatable players out there if you can make her uncomfortable on her shots, which many seem to achieve. Not to take away from Keys, who has always been a phenomenal ball striker when she's hitting well.
