There’s a reason why JK has been and is still their main vocal. The versatility, quality & timbre of his voice to adapt to any genre in music is commendable!
In his latest vlive, he talked about how at Silk Sonic concert, he was so impressed by their singing techniques that instead of having fun, he was trying to study their ways of singing. This is such a Jungkook thing. You’ll always find him singing anywhere and everywhere possible. He never stops singing and always so eager to learn. He has such an analytical brain when it comes to singing technique. I love some of the clips I've seen where he helps the other members too. Instinctive and accurate. Love his passion for singing.

It’s so hard to find an artist who is fearless as him when it’s comes to live singing. He never hides behind any effects, autotune or whatever. He always sings on run eps, turns on vlive to do free live concerts, posts on sns his raw singing snippets or covers. He naturally draws you in with his effortlessly rich voice. It’s always a delight to watch Jungkook in his element happily singing and vibing to the songs.

I really like the way BTS loves & supports their maknae, their "center," their Main Vocalist, hyping him up and always giving him credit for all he does, but man, I LOVE the way that it's not just talk: when he sings, they also get wrapped up, impressed, stare open-mouthed, sway along, and feel all the things that we feel even though they get to hear his voice all the time. 💜

The song around 14:30 is called a trot. It is one of the oldest genres of Korean music that adults like a lot, and that kind of singing method is commonly used.

I will add some details as a contribution to the comments with which you felt the same way.
JUNGKOOK is an extraordinary vocalist and this is not just us, the Western Music Industry, has JUNGKOOK in their sights for a couple of years.
Celebrities like Beyoncé, and her husband JZ, have shown their interest in him, Billboard, every time they put out an article talking about him, ROLLING STONES Magazine, mentioned JUNGKOOK, after the Grammy Awards, and also in another article he called "Young Genius Polymath", and they compared him to Leonardo Da'Vinci, Benjamin Franklin, Stephen Hawking, and other famous people.
They called him a scholar.
And many magazines in their interviews compare it to a Hexagon if I remember correctly or one of these geometric figures.
I recently saw content apart from many of the ones I see about JUNGKOOK, on Korean channels about how they are starting to openly talk about their talent.
Even the Vocal Trainer of another KPOP Agency of weight in the Music Industry of KOREA, recognized the extraordinary talent that JUNGKOOK has, to sing and his incredible vocal abilities and this is saying a lot, because in Korea the standards are very high and That such a famous man with a high reputation in the Industry has recognized him are big words.

Jungkook in his most recent vlive talking about going to see the silk sonic concert and honestly it was so cool. He talked about being so impressed with how strong their voices are even though they’re small.. like not too muscly or anything and he said even though he loves their music and everyone was jumping around dancing and singing… he said he closed his eyes and “tried to draw a picture of their voices” in his mind… he said when he hears anyone sing like that … he closes his eyes and tries to imagine how they got to that sound…. Like as producer what it would have looked like on paper… as a picture,” he spoke at length about this and honestly the way he speaks on music and vocals is very prodigy or savant type of mindset. Like he’s not just listening to music and loving it and trying to do that.. like closing his eyes and doing that and he said he felt so inspired and made him want to get to work and grow as a vocalist and kept saying how impressed he felt and what a fan he is… he said something similar about hearing Justin beiber in person for the first time… just that it inspires him and makes him want to get to work. Jungkooks passion for vocals is a bit unique in the group… like the vocalists love to sing and learn… but jk is non stop thinking about it and little things trigger his brain … it’s very similar to what I feel about yoongi and his music, writing and production… he always has his stuff bc inspiration hits him everywhere and he’s constantly thinking of what he can do for himself, the group and anybody else he’s working with… the way they are with music is a little different and whatever people are interested in more doesn’t have anything ti do with ability… just about their passion which just is something I feel heavily from jk and yoongi that is more similar than the others. They all love what they do and take it very seriously… it’s just about how their minds work in relation to music I guess… doesn’t make them any more important than anyone else… just shows you a better glimpse into their processes. I love it… also Omg I’m dying for you to do the “BTS GAYO” episodes where they play all the music games together and they all sing and dance and play little games about music… song other groups songs and stuff… my favorite one is the Trot episode and they started it pretty early on but Omg it’s so fun and funny and love the different music and stuff … the dancing and the punishments lol
13:40 oh chingu lol I loved that moment!! But yeh this is “Trot music” and the way he is singing here which is in the BTS GAYO episodes… you have to check them out!!! The first couple are super short but it’s a lot of fun the whole list of episodes are really good and you always like the run bts with the BTS GAYO theme

OMG shiki finally reacted to this. Thank you. I wish many people would react to this (sadly i found only two. Lets spread this video more pls) because jungkook really really shines with just karaoke machine. We can hear his raw vocal, no fancy effect and how he can beautifully use his vocal from low notes to high notes and in many genre even raggae too.
Ps. I listen to this video almost everyday. My favs are when he sing park won-Try and Tim-i love you. I listen to the og too, but nothing gives me the feeling that jungkook gives in his every covers. Jk voice never fails to touch my heart.

No offense to rest vocal-line But There's No surprise that Out of All 4Vocal members, Initially Only JK was the one who truly came with intension/passion to sing/become singer & only he was the one who truly recruited/choosen purely based on his singing/vocal skills & not coz of dancing or visuals or just randomly when came with a frnd(who was originally meant to give audition). And Thing to Notice, Jungkook was completely here for Singing as He didn't went to give any auditions for k-pop agencies but appeared for Singing reality show of Korea firstly & even tho he didn't make it to finals, still got offers by 7agencies coz of his impressive Vocal skills at such small age that noticed by agencies when he was on Singing reality show.

Suga is my bias, and Jin iw my bias wrecker. But JK has an undeniably great great great voice. I understand he has the most lines, because of his voice stability when dancing. When someone is singing/rapping he'll be the center, and since he is the most stable it's understandable that he's always at the center singing. Even if prefer Jin more than Jk, and even if im sometimes sad because i want jin to have more lines, i understand that JK, V and Jimin is more stable in dancing-singing (placed in center on choreos) compared to Jin. They are all great and amazing! #OT7
