- We've all been there: You're at a skate spot or skatepark and instead of skating you find yourself sitting down and watching that one dude ripping non-stop as you think to yourself man, it must be nice. I recall one time sitting next to Andrew Reynolds and Erik Ellington, two phenomenal skateboarders themselves, getting their minds blown by Nyjah shredding for fun, as they said to themselves; it must be nice. Sometimes there are those dudes who are just so damn good a video part can't always capture how amazing they really are. You have to see them cruise around in person to fully understand it. Here at The Berrics we get to witness this on the regular, dudes doing video-part-worthy maneuvers just to get their legs warm for the day. Like seriously, how TF do you get THIS good? It would take me like a year to even get down ONE of those tricks he did, and he just throwing them in lines like it ain't shit. There has to be a secret. Practice only gets you so far. Seems like you have to put in the practice AND be naturally gifted at the same time to reach this level.
if you want to be this good skating must be all you think of day in and day out. you need to love it and spend more time skating than walking. all about how bad you want it. but cody is in a league of his own. switch god
Genetics bro. Good eye-foot coordination, great balance, fast reflexes, excellent fine motor skills and years of day by day consistent practice. Either way, great genetics are king.

There is a secret. You flex your leg Adductors and Leg Abductors, and then you flex your Abs and Spinal Erectors, and then you literally can't leave that position that his body is in. Do you see how he jumps off his pop-foot leg, but it always stays outside of his torso? His leg is never centered directly underneath him, it's always on the outside. That's because he has those above muscles flexed at all times throughout the jump. Think about it, You have gravity and muscular tension holding your body in balance with the board, once you understand that it becomes easy. look how effortlessly he does it, it's because it truly is that effortless for him. He has become aware of the secret and therefore the fear becomes an illusion.

I remember watching him skate for the first time was at the USC street league back in 2015 where luan won with a huge hardflip. Anyways , the way he was skating and doing those nollie big spins , blunt stall to 270 kickflip out caught my attention real quick! I could watch cody skate all day. This guy rips
