  • The driver who mowed down a bride and groom on their wedding night admits she was drunk. Newlywed Samantha Miller was killed as she and her groom drove in a golf cart from their wedding reception in 2023. Jamie Komoroski was driving at 65 miles an hour in a 25-mile zone when she hit the golf cart. Her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. Komoroski also pled guilty to three counts of DUI causing bodily injury.

And realize that just two drinks in most states is going to put you above the BAC. Drunk driving doesn't always look the way many people think. If you go to a bar, party or restaurant and have two drinks within a one or two-hour period depending on your weight and metabolism you would be over the BAC and put in prison if this is how you feel.

It’s still crazy to me how the bars she went to gave her drinks while she was slowly getting drunk.
And I agree, she chose to drink and drive, and no drunk driver like her should get a light sentence.

This is such a tragic, preventable crime. I feel so bad for her husband and the rest of her family. I can see the remorse in the woman responsible, which is rare, but she still needs to take her punishment.

So if a woman causes a car wreck due to her own intoxication then she's a criminal but if she has sex with someone due to her intoxication then she's the victim?

She got 25 years. My great uncle and his granddaughter, on her 11th birthday, were killed by a drunk driver who was 18! They served 25 years. So basically 12.5 years for each victim. His son was murdered a few years ago, his killer got life without parole…after taking a plea deal to avoid the death penalty and saving us hearing the details. His twin brother, was the dad of the girl killed.

Such a terrible tuing to say but..... The first victim of drunk driving would always be the driver itself.

I know what it’s like to be hit by a drunk driver. I was hit by a drunk driver in 2002 I 35 just passed 1327 and I was hurt real real bad couldn’t walk for months the families of the victims that you did this tothey will forgive you in another time but the other thing is is that you need to learn how to forgive yourself, my name is Anthony Morones Kyle, Texas and I am a Christian and I believe in the Lord of Jesus Christ.

wow So they were driving a golf cart in the street. okay. Well, if they had been in a CAR or proper vehicle, she'd likely still be alive today. Still, the woman driving drunk should not have been driving drunk. Tragic circumstances. Hard to imagine what the husband went through and is going through. The mom too. Any DUI death is bad but this is the absolute worst timing.
