Hi Pensa Labs, Thanks for uploading a wonderful video. Although these tools are expensive, once I know the production process of this project and what these tools are for, I can make more creative projects in a professional manner.
Hi Hung Nguyen, Thank you for your note! The D.I.Wire is a portable, benchtop CNC wire former meant for the prototyping and small-batch production of various wire parts. We would be happy to show you more of what the D.I.Wire can do. >Reach out to sales@pensalabs.com to learn more
Very interesting for teaching mechanical principles. It would be great to rethink the old cardstock automatons like the ones from Flying Pig in a more durable way.
Please just do it the analog way, with scissors, pliers, wire snips and glue. You can find patterns for the bird on Google, I guarantee it. Any box will do for a base. You don't need to be fancy about it.
Hahahahaaa! Do you really need a $ 4,000 machine and laser cutter to do that project - which also turned out pretty bad? Just with the tools you had in hand, you could have done something better, more fun, and cheaper.
Ravindra Godbole does this with a simple pair of plyers, wire and plastic box. His end product is not amazing but his technique is extremely good. He uses the cheapest stuff to demonstrate.
good, with all your equipment you just need to go to the moon. Think about doing with your hands and a few tools like most hobbyists with few tools available, but they make beautiful things, think about it
That was a extremely complicated way to do something so simple 🤣
Agreed. I use a pair of pliers to make the bends and then snip it. I've been doing this with my makerspace kids for a few months now.
Specialty tools (CNC wire bender? laser cutter?) are _completely_ unnecessary. This seems more like an ad for fancy tools than anything.

This wire bending machine takes all the charm out of making automata. Give me a pair of pliers. 😐

Thank you, Patricio! If you have certain projects you wish to see then please let us know. You can email us at hello@pensalabs.com
art killer machine :)
That CNC bender needs $65 wire cutters ???????
Very interesting. Couldn't find the plans on your website, the link is broken. Is there any chance you can send me the file? Thank you in advance!

Had no idea a cnc existed for wire bending
Now do it so the body of the bird remains stationary and the wings move.

If i call it readymade so it will seem better😂
Esto no tiene ninguna gracia. 😕👎
