I mean Earplugs 5 is overkill on swaxe. Zsd gives 4 lvls of earplugs soo you just need 1 earplug to be maxed out and be immune to all monster roars. Most earplug arguments are met with “just evade roll brother” and youre protected during zsd with only have 1 earplug.
In one hand, I really dislike speedruns because it is very unimmersive, you don't play a hunter vs a monster but you're a guy versus a program that will always react the same to any specific action. It's not a fight, there are reactions no more as you know exactly what will happen at any given time if you do not make mistakes. In the other hand : DAMN that was skilful and satisfying to watch ! Nergigante will sometimes do an attack that will make me miss his head and not lock him anymore, there's also stuff like crit rng. And for me speedrunning is a way to extend playtime of a game I love 👍🏼
What are they doing to keep them from being blown away by the end of the zsd? Circumventing that end lag seems so helpful. I hate knocking down a monster with zsd, getting blown away and having to wait for that animation to do so i can sheath and sprint to the monster.
TA wiki rules: no mantles, no traps, no flashes, no wallbangs, basically restricts you to only weapon vs monster. there's a lot more rules that I'm not mentioning

You have to cancel the ZSD early
