Many thanks for this, You just convinced me to go and buy this unit. I have lost 3 days looking for review that shows not preset tones drowning in delays and modulations but how this actually models amps and cabinets. Thanks for all of us that live in countries where 150$ is not small money.
Thanks you so much for making my day. So happy that the video has helped you. This unit is absolutely worth the $, & I do understand that $150.00 is not small $ for most people, myself included. If you are going to purchase one, please use my affiliate link. It cost you nothing more, but gives me a tiny commission.
I know I’m late here, but the Mesa Boogie DualV = Vintage, while the DualM = Modern. I believe they are different channels on the same amp. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Thanks so much for watching, the compliment, & subscribing. I think it is the best budget multi effect out there based on build quality "the others in this price point are mostly made of plastic, & this is an solid metal" & the fact that it has 7 Bass amp sims, & some Bass effect. I don't think the others in this price point have that much for Bass, but I could be wrong.
Great idea doing just the amps/cabs. And very well done. You really have a lot of patience saying the amps/cab names so precisely for every demo. This video really shows that there are a lot of good sounds in the GP 100. I don't like all of them, but I also don't typically play in the styles that those amps are meant for. The one disappointment for me was the Vox TB stuff. But there are plenty of other options for Voxy tones (Matchless for example). Thanks for posting this great video.
Thanks a bunch for the kind words. I agree, not all the sounds are great, but there are more then enough good sounds to get a usable sound for sure. Thanks for commenting/watching, & of you have not already, please subscribe.
Great video, I've just purchased the Valeton GP-100 and I'm a little bit confused, how do you get the amps to show in the User Patch List as in your video. Any help and advice would be much appreciated.
Hi Ken, Thanks for the kind words. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking me. I'm using the software editor for the GP-100 as download from the website, & have connected it via USB to my computer. What your are seeing is a screen recording of the software editor from my computer. I find using the software editor far better than doing all of the editing on the actual unit itself. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@MUSICIANGeeK Thnx for your reply: it's using the 'Software Editor' that I am slightly confused. After seeing your 'Amp & Cab' video with all the Amps listed under the 'User Patch' left me more confused. I cannot find any detailed video tutorials or instructions on how to use the 'Software Editor'. Any help would be appreciated. Ken
@@kenbriscoe6277 You just have to connect the GP-100 to your computer or Mac with a usb cable, then open the software. The software editor is pretty self explanatory. Just click on the sections that you want to edit & that's it.
Very interesting. I'm still out on the choice of unit in this price range but the valeton is possibly the cheapest entry into a whole plethora of goodness. Thanks for the demo. Nice idea. Nice playing too.
Thanks. Its actually just below the nut. It juts looks that way from the cam perspective. It keeps overtones from ringing out on the strings between the tuners & the nut. Its knows as a Fret Wrap. Some people use them to mute the open strings when you are tapping or sweeping "you have to move it past the nut then" but I just use it to keep the overtones at bay.
Great review im an old fahioned Amp and pedal guy. Can i run the stereo outputs into 2 different amplifiers, eg orange stamp and quilter super block set clean then out of each one to 2 seperate speaker cabs? To achieve a stereo rig? Cheers Martyn.
Thanks for the kind words. You could, .When using this unit with real amps. Turn off the Amp & Cab blocks. You don't want to run a amp & cab simulator into a real amp & cab. Then us the effects into the amp.
Thanks Bro, I learned a lot! "You" don't need effects to Rule. On the other side, this demo is very interesting because once ya load any amp to the gills, they all sound about the same.
Thanks. I don't use a bunch of effects myself. I keep it pretty organic. Amp with a clean sound, & a tube screamer for the overdrive. A little room reverb always on, a wah, & sometimes a little delay. That's just me though. Thanks for watching/commenting, & if you have not yet already, please subscribe.
I am sorry, but I have not had a chance to use either of those units. I chose the Valeton based on the build quality, & the fact that it had quite a few Bass Sounds in it also. I know that the NUX MG-300 is made of plastic, however, I am not sure about the MG-400. Thanks for watching/commenting, & if you have not yet already, please subscribe.
You will love it. Awesome little unit for the price. The build quality can't be beat. Thanks for watching/commenting, & if you have not yet already, please subscribe.

Good demo of Amps and Cabs, much better than some of the garbage I have seen on here for this unit. No fluff, no weirdness, just straight facts. BTW, anyone tell you that you sound like Matt that does / did demo's for MXR ? You sound just like the dude!
Thanks so much for the compliment, & sub. When it comes to gear reviews, just straight facts has always been my goal. I keep the signal chain un processed, to give an accurate example of the tone of what I am reviewing. I have been requested to do reviews of the Delays, Reverbs, & Pre. I will be doing reviews on that as well. Thanks again. B.T.W., I will look up Matt from MXR right now lol
@@MUSICIANGeeK All good man! This is the guy from the MXR demos I was talking about. This isn't the best example, but your voice has the same timbre as him. lol ruclips.net/video/YUD8sJADYsc/видео.html

I did demo a sound of the Roland Jazz Chorus with just the amp & cab Model. However, I'm sure you can tell, I'm not a Jazz player at all. I'm sure that with creating your own presets & adding EQ, reverb, chorus, delays, you could come up with a awesome Jazz Sounds.
I read that this is one of the few units that allows individual effects to be turned on/off on the fly. Is that true and is it also possible to switch between presets or patches in the same manner?
Yes to both technically. It has 2 modes. Stompbox mode, & Preset mode. In Stompbox mode, it allows you to turn effects on or off with 2 switches. In Preset mode, it just allows you to move up or down in the presets. Thanks a bunch for watching/commenting, & if you have not already, please subscribe.
You could absolutely dial in that kind of sound with this unit. Unfortunately I'm am done doing reviews on this unit, & I gave it away on a giveaway contest. So I don't even own it anymore. Thanks for watching/commenting, & if you have not yet already, please subscribe.
