Stepping down from your own label doesn't make sense. Many designers still acted as creative directors of their own label while taking on other jobs...Michael Kors is an excellent example of how to finesse this situation. There are many others as well. This reminds me of Jil Sander and Helmut Lang as both were having problems with their backers.
i think designers are leaving left and right is bc they're padding their resume. They're climbing the ladder. Stay at one place for a period of time and move on to something different. They're just like the rest of us. Jack & Larazo are leaving maybe to pursue other fashion revenues, or experiment with other style, since Proenza Schouler catered to a specific clientele and they might want to branch out.

I don't see their style at Loewe. They should go to Celine instead.
I’m actually excited to see what they offer, JWA had great runways, but his RTW offerings were not all that 🤷♀️
Just a note. The c in Schouler is soft, not as in school, but shoo - lr.
Nope you’re wrong
Stop giving a note when you don’t know anything lol. So condescending
Proenza Schouler /proʊˌɛnzə ˈskuːlər/ ....just stop!
Go back to school… er….
