@@SandraDahl BTW... I do appreciate your new intro but hope you will reconsider adding music. (When I first started watching your video, I thought something was wrong because it was silent.). Plus nice music sets the tone. Just a thought.

Such a strange thing to say the child doesn't need to learn how to write. How will you child sign their name when they are elder? What happens if they need to jot something down and none of their electronics is with them or they have no power? Today even iPads and Kindles come with options for handwriting. I believe your instincts are right.

I know! It’s one thing to say cursive isn’t useful (I still think it’s beautiful, call me old fashioned), but printing?? My goodness what is the world coming to. It’s different if there’s a physical disability like cerebral palsy but my boy is still capable of spelling and printing letters.

@@SandraDahl Well, then that absolutely makes no sense! If he's capable of spelling, and printing letters, then the problem seems to be his teachers. If he can draw, he can write, if he can spell, he can write. Maybe it will take him more time, but that's what teachers are paid for, don't they. I'm so confused by their refusal.

Actually, the teacher is good. I think she agrees with me, but it’s the motor skills specialist and another type of specialist that think he should be doing speech to text only. It was very frustrating for me because I felt they didnt see my point.

Don't listen to them. Teach your child how to write!

I’ve been trying these last few years. It’s a struggle and I spend a lot of time helping to teach him things.
