It was called IDM (intelligent dance music) years ago. But it's a great mixture of genres (future garage, dance, power-pop, trance, vaporware videogame music, etc). In essence and origin, it's influenced by Burial, the pioneer in this area of electronic music and the guy you need to listen to understand what comes next
