This video is 100% accurate. Easy job. Although my sensor didn't come off that easy. Amazon sells the sensors a lot cheaper for those that are brave like me. Changed the outlet sensor 3 years ago and the aftermarket is doing just fine.
Thanks for the video bro I have to change the sensor this week. A friend had it changed and was charged 1200$ for the sensor and the labor they said it was 3 hour lol.
Good afternoon after you repair two sensor you do the regeneration by yourself from the truck or need to connect computer and do by the computer. Thank you so much for your video
I got my problem and solution, thanks. Good video, just a suggestion next time would you mind start from the beginning like where to open exactly. Thanks
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY yes you right that what happened I got the otr delete tool but it deleted by itself only issue I had was I removed it while it was cold and some of the nox sensor tread got left behind on the tread 😡
Hopefully I can make it until the weekend to change both sensors I don’t have any check engines light anymore but will change anyways. The video was very detailed and perfect keep the videos coming , you have skills for that bro lol. Thanks again.
Thanks for all information. Really good step by step video. Bro I have Freightliner 2015 cascadia dd13. It have the same would it be the same part number?
I have a deleted def system but im getting a code for a nox sensor i dont think they didn't the computer work on . My truck runs fine should i even waste my money replacing the nox . Or should i fine someone that can dod the computer work
You can try Cleaning with staring fluid but I think once they go bad it's better to get new ones, but it worth to try cleaning them I know they are expensive.
I just got the code yesterday on my truck I stopped at the Freightliner $390 for that one sensor plus $130 for the core the lights went out already but I'm still going to replace it Monday when the shop opens
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY unfortunately, my local dealers don't give help with part numbers. Guess they think they can force me to spend money with them. I refuse because they're prices are 50% higher than other regions. I'll check other dealers
Great video but I never done these work before I don’t want to damage anything on my 2017 Freightliner could you replace mine ? 😬 Where is your shop located at?
Hello, sorry i dont have a shop we just work on our trucks, its not to hard to replace this sensor, i didn't work on my trucks before until I got tired of paying, thanks for watching sir 🙏
So somebody please tell me how this sensor is any different than the composition of a mass air sensor on a Chevy S-10 and why you can’t clean this sensor the same way with a can of map sensor cleaning spray??? Anyone ??
These sensors don’t go bad folks They just get carbon deposits on the sensors and ca no longer read properly. When your glasses get dirty do you buy a new pair??

I don’t know how to do
how do you know when to change the nox sensor are why you should change your nox sensor regularly
The same way you know when to change other parts when they go bad you get a code.
You have to do a regen after that right? And is it nessisary to change both sensors?
Great Video Bro. I will be changing them on 2013 Cascadia DD13
Do we beed yo Regen after also what year is your Semi
Do I need to clear the code after change the sensors ? Please let me know I need to change this week

Awesome video, very informative! You just saved me some money! God bless you and your family!
What is the size of the ranch or the socket
I change mine every 200K miles even if it dont need it cuz tow bill is too expensive and pain in the but to bypass if stuck on shoulder!!!
Did the check engine lights remove by itself once new sensor was install or you still need computer to delete code thx you video amazing I subscribe
Some times it will remove by itself but you will have to run the truck for a couple miles

Ate the inlet and outlet nox sensor for the dd15 the same
no, you will notice on the wires, the outlet is longer
Do you know where I can find the yellow locking clips on the nox sensors? One of mine broke.
maybe the dealer, or ebay from a used one
What model is that brother?
My cable came in grey bro, I told the dealership the same thing about the colors and they say that the part number they gave me is the inlet
You think all would be same on 2019 models brother?🙏✌️🎅

Great Video! do you need to reset the system or the ECM will reset the new sensor.
You can reset it, or the ecm will recognize the new sensor when its running
@@TRUCKINGTIPSDIY how do you reset it?
What is not said is the programming of the NOX sensors to the ecm thru diagnostic link software.

I replaced nox sensor but the engine light still on, truck running at 5mph, any ideas?
You gonna have to reset the computer, using a laptop or otr tool, what code were you getting?
What are the symptoms that caused the replacement?
A code will come up
how can you check if they are bad
you will need a diagnostic computer for that, to get actual readings
Very helpful
Looks like it loosens to the right not left?
