- This is the Yakko's World video, but with flags of today.
UPDATE: As of June 24, 2022,
(A) the Honduras flag shade of blue has changed from royal blue to turquoise
(B) the Afghanistan flag changed in 2021 due to the fall of Kabul
Notes:
Republic Dominician = Dominician Republic
For "Caribbean," I used the flag of Curaçao
Greenland is a territory of Denmark
Puerto Rico and Guam are USA territories
Bermuda and Cayman Islands are British Territories
Bahamas is actually "The Bahamas"
Tobago is the smaller region of the country "Trinidad & Tobago"
For "San Juan" I used the flag of Puerto Rico (capital city)
French Guiana and Mahore (Mayotte) are departments of France
For "French Guiana" I used the local flag (official flag is the French flag)
For "Czechoslovakia" I used the flag of Czechia followed by Slovakia
Scotland and England are part of the UK
For "Both Yemens" I assumed a single Yemen
Burma = Myanmar
Kampuchea is now Cambodia
For "Asia" I used the flag of Singapore
For "Korea" I put both the flags in one picture (North on top, South on bottom)
Tibet is a region in the People's Republic of China
The "Philippine Islands" isn't a valid name; it's just the Philippines.
Taiwan is disputed by the People's Republic of China
New Guinea is the island home of Papua New Guinea (west half belongs to Indonesia)
For "Sumatra," I used the flag of Indonesia because the island is part of Indonesia
For "Borneo", I used Barney (Borneo consists of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei)
Swaziland is now Eswatini
Gambia is actually "The Gambia"
For "The Spanish Sahara is Gone" I assumed ???
The Spanish Sahara is now Western Sahara (disputed by Morocco)
For "Algiers" I used the flag of Algeria (capital city)
Dahomey is now Benin
Zaire is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo
For "Mahore" I used the unofficial flag of Mayotte (official flag is the French flag)
Hong Kong is a major city in southeast China
For "Abu Dhabi" I used the flag of the United Arab Emirates
For "Yugoslavia" I put all six UN member states' flags in one picture with their names
For "Crete" I used the unofficial flag (Crete is part of Greece)
For "Transylvania" I used TV static
