- WINDHAM, N.H. - In 2004, David Fravor, then a Lt. Commander and aviator in the U.S. Navy, saw something in the skies he'd never seen before. He wasn't sure what it was, but he decided to follow it in his F/A-18 Super Hornet, and became convinced that the object's maneuvering could not be explained by the existing capabilities of modern aircraft.
“It was far beyond the technology that we have,” he told VICE News.

This because people in the military were heavily bullied and forced to retire. Today, finally, the are asked to report such encounter. I do not exclude the possibility of something bigger, but I think that we must investigate because if a foreign nation, an enemy nation, has such a technology this is very dangerous. What the correct attitude made possible, is to put this topic under cover to avoid judgement and the necessity to face also a potential reality to do not own the best tech.

I deployed with CDR Fravor on the USS Nimitz in 2003. I can tell you without a doubt that he is a true professional. He's not the kind of person that would make up a story like this. Despite the fact that the FLIR video clearly shows 'something' - if Dave Fravor says he saw something - he saw something.
there were about 20 minutes of very clear video captured (CNN shows 1 min clip) but was obtained by 'air force officers and plain clothes civilians' as they booked away on helos
how much difference is there between what CDR Fravor saw with his own eyes vs what's shown in the FLIR video?

I remember this guy's face from CARRIER, especially the "pitching deck" episode. I thought him rather understated compared to the younger high octane pilots in his department. As the episode unfolded, I realized it's his ability to observe, internally reflect, provide calm in times of stress, and be technically proficient were the reasons he was their leader, a PROFESSIONAL military officer.
Next thing you know, boom. There he is talking to Joe Rogan.

This explains a lot. Right before school this year I was catching up with one of my friends. We walked around and just chilled for a bit, I got tired of walking so I sat down on some grass. A few minutes go by and I'm just laying down looking up at the stars, then I start to see a meteor shower. So I started paying full attention, then I see it. It was different from the meteors, it was as going at a steady pace for about a second then it shot out of the sky, I saw it for about half a second before I lost it. Behind it was a flash of multicolour lights sort of like oil in water, picture something breaking through the atmosphere faster than you can blink your eyes. It was beautiful, the most spectacular thing I've ever watched.

He was featured prominently in the PBS miniseries “Carrier”. It follows the crew of the USS Nimitz through an entire deployment to the Persian Gulf during the Iraq war.
I was just about to mention that. That was a great mini-series and I thought it was what reality shows should be like and I watched every episode and Commander Fravor didn't come off as a liar, someone who exaggerates things, etc. so this is kind of interesting to see.

A friends father is a former fighter pilot who is now a pilot for Emirates. He said he saw a silver object flying alongside his plane that literally disappeared. There's something weird going on up there.

I really enjoyed the documentary too! He always seemed to be so respectful and friendly. His call sign was "Sex" because his name sounded like "Favor". It's nice to see him again as a civilian.

One day he and his buddy asked their Cdr. for leave to go overseas to fight in a battleship. His Cdr. said, "what the hell, are you guys crazy? "You are going to stay right here in the states and build airplanes for our pilots". My dad wanted to fight and was told to stay put. I'm so glad he did or I might not be here to write this comment. I love the Navy and the rest of our armed services troops.

You are absolutely so spot on. How can they expect every day people to take them seriously? They're just making a mockery/spectacle of it. I'm a skeptic myself but then the more I've reviewed the stories such as this guy who's an educated man (you have to have a college degree to be a naval officer) and credible source, I've started to open my mind more. It's hard to believe so many eyewitnesses could be lying. Regardless I am fascinated by this topic.

@@christopherwalker6056 I live right outside of Dayton Ohio by Wright Patterson AFB. I have always had an interest in the subject but in 2011 I had a pretty up close and personal incident with a couple buddies driving late one night. I wont get into to many details. Little orb of light we could see out of the top right of the windshield blinked a couple of times then shot down and was suddenly right to the left of us just hovering over some houses. I slammed on my breaks and we just sat there staring at it. After the shock kind of wore off from that i hit the gas and turned right into the opposite neighborhood whrre my buddy lives. I stopped again after making a 2nd right and the damn thing hovered to the left where it had a straight on look at us as well. I took off and we all just walkes straight into his house. Didnt say a word. I ripped a piece of paper in 3s and said everyone draw what you saw and we all drew the same thing. We were in straight shock. It came back about 2 weeks later and we watched it all night. Stays with me like it was yesterday.
