There's two more weekend specials called the adventure of a two minute werewolf I've watched quite a few of them the red room riddle and then there's another one called All the money in the world on RUclips
Its funny, I remember this special and looked for it a few times here and there...only remembered Zack and he was in a magic shop or something...well I was close!
A-ha! I see you were able to splice in the start of part 2 before the WLS-TV ID/promo for Moonshine War ended. Good for you, Fuzzy one. In the last upload of part of part 1, it ended with the first few seconds of American Bandstand, so it's a good thing you spliced in part 2 just as the WLS-TV ID/promo ended and was about to go into American Bandstand.
The actor playing Zach looks like a slightly older version of Robbie Rist( known for infamously playing Cousin Oliver on the last season of The Brady Bunch) .
27:05 The Time for Timer segment was produced by DePatie -Freling Enterprises ( animated opening titles of I Dream of Jeannie, The Wild,Wild West et al). They also produced The Pink Panther theatrical and television shorts plus related segments. Character actor Lennie Weinrib provided the voice of Timer. He also provided the voice of H R Pufnstuf and other characters including the initial voice of Scrappy Doo in the Scooby Doo franchise. And the initial voice of Freddy Flintstone on The Flintstone Kids.
Did you really expect MeTV Toons to get the rights to Bunnicula w/ the WS opening? Disney is so protective of it's IP. Even if it's decades old. It would literally take an act of Congress to make that happen. As things stand now. That'll never happen. If you're expecting MeTV Toons to ever air a Disney produced series I wouldn't hold my breath. They were able to get it because most of the Ruby- Spears(which produced it) library is owned by WB-Discovery in which they have a great relationship with. And have since MeTV began broadcasting. They didn't drop the ball w/ anything. They had zero chance of getting that.
Dick Tufeld is the voice of the ABC promos at 18:05 and 26:34. 5:01 Herb Vigran plays George the Milkman for Graham Crackos 17:35 Thurl Ravenscroft is the voice of Tony the Tiger for Sugar Frosted Flakes 26:05 Paul Frees is the voice of the pirate, Daws Butler is Cap'n Crunch 27:05 Lennie Weinrib is the voice of Timer
Wow that opening really takes me back to my childhood.
It does for many of us.
It's crazy how hearing all those old commercial narrators.. its almost like hearing from an old friend
It's amazing Ernie Anderson voiced these breaks leading into and out of the program. Great voice!
Good on ABC to have him do this.
When you heard that intro theme, shit got real
And afterwards, AMERICAN BANDSTAND with DICK CLARK!
It's basically the same theme Intro As in search of.
I always remembered Michael Young who did the intro was host of Kids Are People Too
Thanks for this I was kid but I do remember these weekend specials there's more of these floating around
Two Weekend Specials in one video!

Back then hearing that intro,to me,was ABC's way of saying"See you next Saturday morning!"
Great Memories 👍
Brings back memories thank you.

I spent over 40 years trying to figure out what this was based on fuzzy memories from when it first aired.

@@andyrose5616 Thanks fixed. Didn't see the error prior.
MeTV Toons dropped the ball not having the ABCWS intro play before Bunnicula.
I knew they wouldn't have that.

Too bad these aren't available on physical media or even to stream
Was that an alternate version of the ABCWS playing as Michael Young talks?

Can you please find a taped broadcast of the ABC Afterschool Specials adaptation of The Toothpaste Millionaire?
Cousin Oliver's cousin.
