Hawkwind - never for the sheep. So ahead of their time, and will always be. This and an Old Holborn roll-up would be enough for me. Getting to see them at Stonehenge 1984 was a f**king highlight. Nik Turner Rest in Peace
The golden void speaks to me denying my reality I lose my body, lose my mind, I blow like wind, flow like wine Down a corridor of flame, will I fly so high again Is there something wrong with me, I cannot hear, I cannot see Down a corridor of flame So you think the time is past, the life you lead will always last Chaotic fusions of your soul, down below that rocky knowle Through the clouds an open sky, the wind flows through your watering eyes The sounds are pitched to draw you on your never ending journey on The edge of time, the edge of time, the edge of time
This is the last track on probably my very favorite Hawkwind album, Roadhawks, right after "Wind of Change". Has any album ever ended better than that one? Thank you for the lyrics; love singing along with these guys!
I'm sorry to disappoint you but the original is an album track from Warrior on the Edge of Time . If you want trippy try it . I'm not suggesting actually trying lsd . You can come a cropper . Best keep the day job .
This album was based on books written by Michael Moorecock, in particular The Eternal Champion. However these lyrics in particular strike me as to do with high consumptions of psychedelic drugs I’m guessing as space rock and other psychedelic music is made to enhance/give the effects of being high. Alternatively these lyrics are a fictional story/scenario which is common with space rock, especially Hawkwind. Not sure if that’s correct but hope it helps!

This is one of the most LSD/DMT influenced lyrics I've ever heard, truly a majestic masterpiece.
Hall of mountain grill and this one is their masterpiece Listening for 50 years of space greatness, Get high and dream friends
The golden void speaks to me denying my reality
I lose my body, lose my mind, I blow like wind,
flow like wine
Down a corridor of flame, will I fly so high again
Is there something wrong with me, I cannot hear,
I cannot see
Down a corridor of flame
So you think the time is past, the life you lead will
always last
Chaotic fusions of your soul, down below
that rocky knowle
Through the clouds an open sky, the wind flows
through your watering eyes
The sounds are pitched to draw you on your never
ending journey on
The edge of time, the edge of time, the edge of time
Absolutely monumental and mystic track.
Absolutely love this album.
