Thanks again for the lesson. Always a great time viewing your videos. At 2:03 I was a little worried about air bag deployment when you moved the air bag module, seem there is no yaw sensor or other types of sensors in it.

Brian just a question do you feel confident when and if you get a module that works that as the car goes back together you can say the module lights but are you Confident you found the problem or just the result of a different problem. I realize the module has corrosion but the interior looks in rough shape. I don’t know if I could have a thought process on that one because the condition it’s in whoever ripped it apart seems to me had a horrible thought process an work habits. I give you a lot of respect just getting to the point that you did. By the way I’ve been working with photodiodes, PN 2222 transistors and also have transmit and Receive diodes on order. I have to pull up spec sheets on the photodiodes because they absorb infrared light in different directions. Some from the side some through the top. I think I need to perfect my thought process Lol. Are you working from which chapter for the photo you sent me on the phase shift. My process is 1st get the correct component 2nd learn what it does and how it works 3rd for myself is laying the circuits out on a quality breadboard. Many variables that can send you down a rabbit hole. I’m locked in and every mistake just makes me dig deeper. Thanks for sharing and have a good weekend. You teaching this weekend? I’ve signed up for some ATS courses given by John Thornton Every course helps. 😊

Does ids still do used pcm programming? I tried on an 08 focus leave the key off til you put tear tag in then vin but I think ford got smart and doesn’t allow it anymore

its getting challenging, DONT turn the key on until your have to... even when it stays turn the key on do not until IDS tells you to replace the module .

Already tried it. Left key off to enter tear tag. The vin I pull through my scanner on the used module is from a 2010 then when it says replace module get a message saying the software is to new start session over with correct vin

Part numbers aren’t exactly the same. But flagship 1 has a preprogrammed one there par number cross over has both pcm part numbers in the column
