Its called "ice slicer" and its the reason i have body panels rotting off my tow equipment. They use a beet juice/brine mix here. Just gotta clean your undercarriage real good and seal it. I spray WD 40 on mine
It absolutely destroys your car frame, trailer’s frame/ wiring, equipment etc.! NOT TO MENTION it kills all the trees alongside the roads where the snow is thrown over winter. Also it will keep your road base from becoming frozen and you’ll quickly notice the asphalt roadways fall apart….great stvff
The Brine solution is terrible for your car /undercarriage not to mention what is does to the vegetation near the roadside. Salt is Salt no matter what they call it. Caltrans primarily uses a brine solution composed of water and sodium chloride (salt) to treat roads during winter weather,
They don't use salt or brine in California. That's an east coast thing because nobody uses chains out there. Additives to sand are illegal in California. Don't like it? Leave Nice Chinese skid steer by the way.
It’s Brine, they use it all over New England, keeps snow and ice from bonding to the pavement
I wanna see some doughnuts in skid steer with those new chains!!!,- lol !
Brine. Yup, you said it!
Liquid calcium chloride, sodium chloride or magnesium chloride is used in Washington state.
We use the sadle tanks that sprays the salt as it comes out the hopper. Also use brine for pre treatment. NY
