Many people are saying "this isn't real you faked this" and yes the Friday night funkin hud and music were added afterward in editing and timed roughly to the gameplay footage (which was still some work) However in order to get the hud I had to make a quick chroma key mod for FNF and for the models I had to make a much bigger LN2 mod. So essentially I did make a mod for LN2 but instead of just boring you guys with a model showcase I wanted to make it look more interesting. Finally, how would this even work if it was a real game? would it just be the gameplay of FNF with a bit of LN2 playing in the background? If you mess up would you do something different? at that point it would be easier to make it a video in the background of an FNF mod and not in LN2 (especially since only the devs have the raw UE4 data). Now if someone made a rhythm game as an LN2 mod I would be very impressed for sure, but the people that make those kinds of heavy total conversion mods usually stick to games with better modding support (not something where the company actively doesn't want you to mod).
