    True sportsmen having a ball is there anything better, I love the fact that they are so conservation conscious no ten minute glory shots just get the fish they don’t want to harvest right back in the water, and the awesome stories who cares if you even see a flag they are priceless

    Many moons ago when I was young my grandad used to tell me when we were out on Winnipesauke : when the winds in the east the fishings is the least. When the winds in the west the fishing is the best. When the winds in the south it blows the bait in the fishes mouth. When the winds in the north just stay home. Forget about it. Still live and die by that all these years later. Lol.

      Nick , early season in my home area of the Sebago lakes region and the Rangeley region it is common to find salmon in shallow water. ( early season = spring)

    So why are you just cutting all the hooks? Honestly just curious.

    • @JoeHollandFishing
      @JoeHollandFishing  2 года назад

      Some fishermen believe the fish have a better chance of survival with a quick line or hook cut off if swallowed deeply rather than attempting to remove it.

    Good video.. just a question how come u showed the Same fish being caught twice? Brandon was pulling it in an the guy walked around the hole? He cut the line in the hole? Was it just a mistake or did I miss something.. thanks for the video

      Excellent catch thank you, it was a mistake in editing for sure. Waaaaay too many clips to edit and running different cameras and different cards made editing tough, I’m actually thinking of get more cards and swapping them daily regardless of how full they get. Thanks again

    Does it harm the fish leaving the hooks in them?

    • @JoeHollandFishing
      @JoeHollandFishing  3 года назад +2

      Most times its less harmful to cut the line and let the hook either rust out or work free than to try and get it out of Salmon and trout. They are not very tough. If the hook is visible we pull them but if they swallow we were cutting off.

  • @rosco600

    Why don't you guy's pull the hooks, do the hooks devolve or do the fish spit the hook out over time

    • @JoeHollandFishing
      @JoeHollandFishing  3 года назад +1

      Kyle, A little bit of both. If we can getthem easily we get the hooks out but if they are swallowed or very deep its better to just cut them, The hooks rust quickly. Its not uncommon to catch fish with a hook in them or almost rusted out.

    • @rosco600
      @rosco600 3 года назад

      @@JoeHollandFishing thank you for the info i was just kind of curious if they rusted over time or the fish 🐟 can spit them out
