I've met some of the best and unfortunately, some of the worst/rudest people at craft fairs. Prior to crochet, I was really into Fimo miniatures. I've had people, say right in front of me, that something was too expensive...or my favorite..."I could make this myself," then proceed to ask me a LOT of questions about the material I used, and how I did something, all while being rude. These experiences really make me appreciative of the people that are thoughtful, kind and courteous!
I just love people lol I know it’s trendy to say “I don’t like people” but I love human connection and making others smile. That earring vendor was so kind and it’s stuff like her making those earrings that makes me feel recharged and have faith in humanity. Also the organizer gave her some magnets because she ran around cleaning up the place markers (sticky notes) from the gym floor when we were packing up.
Thank you for putting a positive spin on an otherwise not so positive situation. The plushie market is getting saturated. I believe the trend will continue.
I agree!! It’s very saturated. It’s really cool to see so many people finding the love of crochet but I feel it’s up to the market coordinators to be more selective for the sake of respecting their vendors and also giving the customers enough variety throughout the market. I think it’s very important to ask ahead of time and do your research. It’s unfortunate in these kinds of situations though where it’s juried so I just assume if I’m accepted I am gonna be one of the only in my niche.
Yes !! I think the best word of advice I could give you starting out would be to really find your own style and build off that. I wish I would’ve came out the gate with my own style but I’m still working on it !
The one time I was put back to back with another crochet vendor it thankfully wasn't so bad cause we had none of the same plushies and if someone told me they were looking for something and I knew that she had it I would direct them to her and I'm pretty sure she did the same.

99.99% of the people are so kind and make the experience all worthwhile! I don’t want my cuddly creatures going home either any meanies anyhow!! lol
Kindness is so underrated and you were kind through the whole experience.❤ So sweet that the other vendor made custom earrings for your little one!

Your intro was perfect 😂 I can so relate lol It is nice to find other like minded crochet vloggers ❤
I’ll have like 5 straight minutes or more of me trying to say my intro without sounding or feeling like I’m being fake or confused 🤣
Thanks for being positive about your market. Nice to see that.
I just enjoy the experience of it all 🫶🏽
