Heck of a battle and it was nice to see everyone get a little something. Ultimate Masters will always be a special set. That box topper is sweet! Congrats to Joseph! Can't be opened like to used to, so now it's a cool thing to see every once in a while.
UMA is one of the few sets where I truly wish I had the opportunity to open more of. When I see a cheap box I’ll continue to jump on it though. Super fun.

lol I have to tell it like it is! That’s the reality of the higher end openings. It’s a risk/reward thing. There are some incredible hits and when you get one it makes it super worthwhile. But there’s a lot of mid in the sets too. So normally half the people end up super happy and half not as much. I’ve been fortunate to strike gold on the toppers for all three of the boxes I’ve opened. It can be especially tough sledding if you whiff on the box and then the topper too. This would have at least been a solid box without the topper being good.

Gorgeous box - I only ever managed to get a couple of packs from this set, but if I ever manage it, I'd love to open this one.....
It’s a set I wish I could open more often. The prices were so gnarly for a long time but I’ve picked up boxes when I see an opportunity to at a good price.
@@WildcatMTG I got curious, so checked one of the main suppliers around here for MTG set boxes.... £400 for Ultimate Masters boxes at the moment..... I'm gonna need to sell a kidney for that to happen!
Yeah… and they’re down from what they used to be. 😂 it’s the first set with a “Box Topper.” It was essentially the start of the variant era of magic. UMA is/was a huge deal.

very nice opening, which has brought me some good memories ( we´ve opened for draft purposes only one box with my brother and other friends - rarely we had 2 foil rares and also one foil mythic).

I’ve drafted it with friends a couple of times too! The first time the topper was Lavaclaw and the second time Gaddock Teeg. 😂 Super fun product to open though!
