- Training 'AGGRESSIVE' Cane Corso To Stop Attacking Other Dogs. Cane Corso's are often branded as dangerous and aggressive because of their size however in this consultation Will trains a Cane Corso that has been involved with the police to see if it really is aggressive or not by bringing another dog in.

Corso are so beautiful a corso saved my life in a home invasion I’ll forever be grateful to the breed.
I’m so glad you were safe because of your wonderful dog! I also had a man break in, and my two Shihtzus did their very best, but he just stepped over them. 😅 It gave me enough time to arm myself and scare him back out. Since then I’ve added a trained Rottweiler and I sleep much better. 😂
Sounds like a load of shit to me saved your life 😂😂😂
Best of trainers this guy, I previously had a Cane Corso and now I've got a Belgian Malinois. This guys tips and training techniques are second to none. Respect!
Wow, you don't go for the easy dogs, do you? Lol.
Corsos and Malinois are 2 of the toughest breeds for the average owner, but man if you know what you're doing there are few dogs more loving and dedicated. Hats off to you sir!
I started with a malinois! Got an american bulldog/mastiff and now a cane corso! and yes, I have all 3 now. And a single mom and this one is going to me my biggest challenge and im very eager to continue to learn with. Hes the only one that I decided from the beginning to get a professional involved for me as much as him! wish me luck!
Can we just appreciate what a beautiful breed of dog this is
But how unnecessary and cruel it is to cut their years
@@magpie913 I would suggest you do some research on why they get cropped , it's not for fun... - but your opinion
@@ihop1988 Hmmm, seems that this is a dog living at home and being walked around the neighborhood. Do you think he's guarding cattle or hunting? Would you mind elaborating on why cropping and docking isn't common with bullmastiffs, English mastiffs, Tibetan mastiffs, Rhodesian ridgebacks, Rottweilers (ears), etc...? Are those dogs lesser guard dogs, or do they have better ears?
As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. His training techniques and tips really work. Thank you as well for dedicating your life's work to rescue dogs, and to rescuing those of us who want the very best for our 4-legged family members.
I love how you acknowledge the good work done by the owner and don't overthrow everything he's done just because you're the trainer and you know better
Will, this is brilliant. It's exactly what I need. My Corso is 9 months old and reacting the exact same way in public. This video is like me finding a golden Wonka Ticket..
Can't thank you enough. 👌😉🍀🇮🇪
What an amazing improvement! It's cool to see the cane corso feeling so at ease with another dog. He seems like a real sweetheart!
Will, thanks for all your uploads. I've had the confidence to adopt a rescue and we've made huge progress thanks to your help. Still lots to do, but getting there.
That's well good... Nice one
Wow! 1 life saved!!! Thank you for taking a rescue into your heart
Respect to you for adopting! My rescue Foxhound had so many issues when I first got her and was way more work than any dog I got as a puppy, but her love of me for having given her a safe home is so overwhelming it still brings me to tears sometimes. Giving a dog in need a safe, loving home is such a gift, so thank you for having that space in your heart!
Beautiful job brother! Loved this video.
Total should be:
“installing an off switch on a Cane Corso”
Well done Will!!🙌🏼😁
Love this video. I'm planning on getting my own corso in the future, and this just goes to show if you do your homework and put in the work, a "big scary dog" can be just like any other dog you'd meet on the street. Well done 👍
Quick message to thank you, for all your precious tips and lessons. You have provided so much to help our Aussie Shepard. She is now 7 months old and she has the same type of behaviour: she gets crazy around her dog friends (pulling, barking, etc). Never shows signs of aggressivity, but she can get really excited when it is time to play. We will definitely try this routine with her. Cheers from Montreal, Canada
Any updates?
Another wonderful video! I really appreciate HOW you engage with the dogs and HOW you keep their brain "alerted" and AWARE! It's also wonderful that your training is for all dogs not just "some specific breed." You look at canines and undestand the mind, vs the "perceived appearance".
Love these videos. seeing the interaction between you and all these different breads has been very interesting
So interesting to watch. My daughter is planning on getting a new mastiff in the near future. She has done good with her others but I have encouraged her to check tour channel out. She works from home in a rural area and her French mastiff came to her rescue when she had an intruder. I worry about her safety since "Ducky" passed from old age. So glad she is getting another guard dog.
Great video as usual! And with a Cane Corso as a case study is even beter!
This is great. I did your puppy course with our female corso. She did really well, walked on a heel, however, whenever I would walk her with my six year old or now my infant too, everything goes out the window and she is protective and pulls. I’d love to see how you fine tune a dog with a mother owner walking with children. I think it’s vastly different then doing it solo. Any help would be great. Thank you!
I have a pitbull just like this and your tips have been helping a lot. Excited to see the off-lead training.
Absolute quality my Rottweiler was the same looked aggressive when playing with other dogs but was just a very sociable dog we took him to puppy parties at our local vets when he was young was great with the others
Great video. Brilliant to see you working and helping clients and their dogs. Will be good to see their progress and you dealing with other dog issues.
Fantastic video Will.
Amazing how quick your engagement drill works. Also finally someone that shows that prong collars are not cruel and barbaric but a helpful tool when used properly.
Brilliant loved this ! I'm learning how leads should be put tight over the head so they don't slip down. I've just got a slip lead to stop pulling and have realised I've been using it wrong.
I watch a lot of your videos - this one is one of my favorites! I loved how the Cane went from “I want to play but I’m not sure about this situation” to “this play stuff is fun” with help from humans.
This video has helped me so much with my 11 month old corso, most gentle boy just so protective! Thankyou Thankyou I can’t wait to give this a go and better my baby 💗
I don’t comment often however Will this one of best videos I have ever seen! Keep up the good work!
YESSSSSSSSSS. I love this. I've been working my corso hard lately. We're working on her off switch. There couldn't have been a more perfect time for me to have seen this video!
Love this video this is exactly what I need to work on with my Amstaff.
Absolutely amazing video. Definitely have this one saved. Very quick work and Dogs look beautiful. Keep up the great content
I'm going through the exact same thing now. Enzo is 7 months, we've always socialised him and recently he sees another dog and it all kicks off. He's on his back legs and barking and pulling to get to play with the dogs. I'm the one who walks him and looks after him, but it's getting to a stage where I dread taking him out. I've already had the comments shouted at me from other dog owners. He's a great natured dog, not a bad bone in him. I don't know what to do.
I'm in the same boat Patricia 🤣🥲 I have 2 of them tho lmao and it's getting like that everytime I come across another dog owner and their dog
same here in Turkey. my cane corso still gets aggressive and excited with other dogs and at home we have a cat. Its been 2 years almost and she still cant stay calm near the cat and looks as though she is gonna eat the cat. I dont want to take my dog out because I fear I dont have strength enough to make her stop when she kicks off. at home my cat doesnt wonna come near cane corso , its obvious even my cat senses that she is dangerous. couldnt have been able to train her so far
Thank you so much for uploading your videos and making them available for everyone. Your positivity is keeping me going with training my dog and I'm seeing amazing results. Best dog I've ever had so far - in large because of videos like these
Ive been working at a dog shelter for a little while now and I hope I can implement some of these methods for some of our dogs. Some don't seem to respond to gentle correction at times. I'll need to build a better foundation with them I guess.
Enjoying watching the channel go from strength to strength.
Love your appreciation of the breed. Wish I’d found a trainer like you to help with our neo mastiff.
Thank you so much! I had the exact same issues with the same breed of dog. The final details you showed have made such a difference 👍
Fantastic video thank you Will.☺️👍❤️
Such good advice thank you my Bullterrier x is an active dog and he is very playful but can get a bit tough at times.I am sure I can help my dog with your advice to be less boisterous with other dogs.😃👍
I own 2 Cane Corso x Maremmas, and it's relieving to hear someone say "I have no interest in taking the corso out of a corso". My two (brother and sister) are extremely avoidant of strangers, but adore my partner and I. Both dog/cat/kid friendly, but dislike people immensely. I love seeing people respect the breed and promote good ownership!
Magic!! Just Amazing to watch and learn
I learned something new in this video. Claiming the space in front on the sit stay! Can’t wait to try it today! My pitbull is horribly reactive to other dogs, esp if they are moving fast at her. She has been in fights. I love her and want her calm and happy. Deep breath, calm canine leader, a different dog on the way. THANK YOU Will!!
love the channel love your energy will keep goin mate
That was just so nice and calm. Beautiful ❤️❤️
Awesome work, Will, and what a nice, sweet-tempered Corso Clyde here is!
Amazing work Will. Thanks for sharing your canine magic.
currently working on this with my 13mth old corso from feeling the need to rush and say hi to every dog he sees. he was well socialised but with 5 months stuck at home on our average in lockdown he now wants to run in and say hi.
I absolutely love this! All I’ll say for such a calm boy who clearly has been given quite a bit of training already would you not be able to get him to engage and listen with a pop on a slip lead instead of prong? I’m curious xx
You could. The prong will likely get his attention better with less force. And there is always a risk with injury from a slip collar, much less so from a quality prong collar as used in this video.
If I could go back and use the prong collar as soon as my pup was big enough I would have in a heartbeat… used a slip lead for first 8 months of my Ridgebacks life and although he is an amazing dog and we have a good relationship, the excitement and reactivity when meeting new people got out of control as he grew older due to his size.. the Herm Sprenger prong in my opinion is hands down the BEST training tool you can get… within 3 weeks of using the prong, I got to the stage where I did not even have to restrain/leash my dog when meeting new people as the appropriate behaviour had been communicated clearly to him on the prong where as he used to literally choke himself out on a regular slip lead… try slip lead first but once he is old enough I would utilise the herm sprenger to fine tune like Will is doing here… best 20 quid I ever spent in my 1 year of dog ownership!
AWESOME..my staffy needs this
You have great energy, it is wonderful to see the results of consistent and loving leadership. Some hundreds of thousands dog owners should watch your videos.
Class that and explained soo well. Great channel
Once again Will...yoir videos pop up right when I need them. My Corso is a 8.5 month old puppy and wants to play all the time! His friends at daycare don't always want to. He needs to learn to see when his friends are done so it doesn't end up with someone getting hurt.
Wow my eyes are opened . I want a cane corso when I retire where I can put in as much time as needed to be their “ leader “ and provider.
I'm trying to watch all of your videos to learn all that I can so I can train my Corso puppy to look up to me for guidance, I am doing my best to not make a bunch of mistakes lol
What a beautiful boy 😍♥️ can't wait to watch you continue to work with him!
Absolutely amazing I have a 9 month old female cane corso
Great job Clyde!!!
Fantastic Corso instruction!
Great video. Thanks Fenrir ❤
My American bulldog pup is like this (without the reactive bit) I'm going to try this to see if she can make new friends without scaring all the owners
When I'm sitting down at a table in public, my Corso Lucy sits next to me where her butt is just slightly on my foot. That way she knows I haven't gone anywhere while she's keeping a lookout to keep me safe. It's a true sign of dedication in this dogs.
hes a beautiful specimen of a Corso
Thanks for some great videos. Our dog loves to meet people, both adults and kids and gets along great with other dogs while off the leash. But a growing issue is when she passes other dogs being walked, she starts growling and aggressively barking, almost like she's trying to protect us. She does well with other dogs being slowly introduced to her when both are collared and leashed. Any video or suggestions you can recommend? Thank you.
Fantastic work. Love watching your work
LOVE role model Sully
Truly spectacular to watch , lovely boy . Why oh why do some breeds just get tarred with that same damn brush. Ours does too , they pick up theirs , pick up children , cross the road to get away . Brilliant when I walk past snapping dogs ( little ones usually, not always) , and ours does not murmur and just gives not even a glance , makes me laugh and cry at same time . Humans will never change , thank god for the solidness of dogs .❤️🐾👍
Thank you for showing this witb a strong dog!
I'd have to say that I've been watching your videos and I love the way you train dogs I love the way you think the owners of these dogs and just the way you handle all these situations different kinds of situations and you're so calm and you're so the pack leader and you show these dogs who's in charge and I love that because someday I would love to have a dog of my own a cane Corso would be an awesome dog to own and with your knowledge and the way you show us how to be owners of dogs he is such a blessing so I just want to say thank you so very much you're an awesome individual
Thank you for your videos brother! Very educational and love the passion you have for this breed! I will be getting my first cane corso on August and I can’t wait to bring him home. I always had dogs but was always absolutely in love with corsos😍🥰
Hi Will. Really impressed how you used HS prong collar. People say this tool is barbaric. You've shown that with just little tucks/reminders, the dog gets it. In the right hands and used correctly. This tool works. Keep up with the videos and stay safe.
@@amyh4032 Why are you here spreading misinformation? Zak George is literally one of the worst trainers in terms of behavioral modification. He trains the same reactive dogs for months at a time with no results... Why would anyone in their right mind listen to him? If you don't like the methods/tools used in these videos here just go somewhere else 🙄 No one wants to hear your anti-correction rhetoric.
@@emilka2033 Zak George is a horrible example of positive reinforcement. In fact, I would go so far as saying that he is a perfect example of how NOT to do positive reinforcement. Look up Kikopup, Dog Liaison, Simpawtico to get a better idea of what it is like to use positive reinforcement properly. Find some medium ground and understand that most FF trainers are not that good. Just like there are worst balanced trainers who literally abuse dogs like Jeff Gellman, but I dont lump abusers in with proper balanced trainers like Larry Krohn, Ivan Balabanov, Joel Beckman, etc... So dont lump Zak George or Victoria Stillwell into the category of positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement deserves a better image than that. At least respect positive reinforcement, clicker training. Understand that positive reinforcement only works on every dog if you are truly skilled enough, and that is a big problem the Positive reinforcement community faces now, there aren't many skilled or educated FF trainers to work with serious case dogs or do proper behaviour modification, 95% ( I am making up that number ) of FF trainers are at Zak George-level.
@@amyh4032 Yes there is. I have really tried loads of technics and tools. Patience, treats, love, kindness and he still lunges at other dogs like a wild wolf. It is very frightening for other dog owners. Max and I met over 4 years ago, when I became his 3rd owner. Max was just 8 months old. Bad owners, no socialisation and no training. If a tool is used correctly, there is a need for these training tools.
i have learnt so much these last few hours, it is lovely to see
the boots are class mate
Awesome work! Thanks for the teaching moment!
Great content as always!
Excellent!! 🙌
I have a puppy corso and I am learning how to train him thanks for the great tip on control
Nice to see. I think a lot - some 'behavioural mistakes' in your presence aren't because of your body language. Unfortunately, many people don't have them and still choose dogs that need constant guidance! Your training videos are great!
Gruß von den Philippinen 🇵🇭🌞😎👍🏽
Previous dog was a Cane Corso and now we have a Tosa Inu. GREAT dogs, but def need a firm loving hand
Great watching the program I am looking at getting a Cane Corso in the not so distant future. The course you perform was inspiring. If it is ok in the not so distant future I could get in touch.
Incredible job done in amazingly ahort time.👏. I am in love with this breed. I live in Italy,.but should i own a Cane Corso one day, I would love to get your online teaining courses at least
Thank you so much for you’re help
🤗💯
I knew I was the problem 😅
France from Canada
Beautiful dog behaviors I love the “bread and butter “ term lol
Working on being a better leader 😄
Sooooooo good and informative. I'm a future new dog owner: Will gives me GOLDen information about training. You take away all the hesitation I have about owning and training a dog. Thanks for sharing the wealth!
Great video Will , BRAVO,thank you😊👍
This video is great to watch. This is problem I have with my dog. Gives me some base to work on 👍😁
you make it look like so easy.Unfortunately for my Corso this would be impossible
where can I order one of those herm 3.2 collar , thank you great video
oml how tall are you? Is that just a small cane corso or something, because you were absolutely towering over him!
That was amazing. I really would need your help with my two Cane Corso... Just thinking about to go out with those two trouble makers gives me anxiety 😅 They are not aggressive, but the 10 months old female is little more reactive than Clyde was..
Off Lead is the test, prong collars are so effective that it’s hard to really know if the behaviours changed at all.
I thought "vicious Cane Corso"? Then I saw her interact with the other dog and thought: "wait... That's a play bow"
I train my jackrussel not to be reactive and to walk perfectly to heel and pay attention all I need now is the of lead part I also train my mate beljuim mailoins not to be aggression and now she perfect
That is a GORGEOUS Cane Corso OMG!!
He must be from European lines. He looks so much like Preacher from Senza Tempo (but with a narrower face).
Very impressive.
Great video as always Will!
Wow guy, great technique
Beautiful boy. He reminds me of my 1 year old 38kilo girl. She sees other dogs and barks, she sound aggressive and scary. She just wants to play but looks and sounds scary.
Like and Subscribed. Amazing video and training. I am getting my 1st dog and it is going to be a cane corso. Thank you for the training
THAT was really impressive.... I love your videos and about you I have an AmStaff of a shelter which is in the meantime an ambassador of his race. Thank you so much sharing your professionalism with us.😘
Iv had a cane corsos for 16 months now. She’s over 100Lb’s and I have more trouble with other dogs attacking her. She’s great around people and loves attention from most anybody and the people she does bark at are people we all would be sketchy of.
Mine is 6 months and is this size already
Scary stuff indeed 😬
You are awesome willy. Greetings to you from india
Aggressive my eye. That big lad wants to play
