I moved into University Hall dorm on Union Square in August 2001. Stern class of ‘05. The twin towers came down on my 2nd week of freshman year. Watching your video brings back lots of memories. I’m in my mid 40s now and still an avid runner doing sub 3 marathons! All the best with college!
@@AsaFletcher After graduation I worked for a few years in Manhattan and then moved to London for awhile before coming back to my native Singapore more than 15 years ago. I miss NYC a ton and I’ve been back to visit several times. Will be passing through again next April when I head to the Boston marathon.

I got accepted to NYU as an international student but had to study in my home country instead due to some medical and mental health issues. I'm sad but everything happens for a reason so I'm sure it will work out in the end! @AsaFletcher Thank you! I decided a long time ago that my mental health is a big priority. A lot of young people overlook it, and that usually makes it harder to keep in a good state I know I will meet people here that will change my life for the better, and in a few years I will be counting my lucky stars because of it. Maybe I'll bring those people along for the ride when I eventually come to visit New York 🤔😊
Yeah the cost is definitely a big factor! Personally I don’t think it is worth the $90k per year but I also have financial aid kicking in so that’s what is keeping me here
