HOLY. WOWWW!!! Great harvest! I was afraid you guys were gonna get skunked in the garden this year. Sooo happy for you!
I will say, I was having a bite to eat when your video popped up & I was doing great till you guys started talking about deep fried SLUGS!!🤢🤮🤢🤮
I truly believe you could turn on the camera at the beginning of a day of you two working together & just leave it run ALL DAY. I would have a less than productive day, but I'd enjoy every minute of it. The way you banter back & forth & joke around together takes me back to many years ago when my husband & I did the same things & had so much fun together. It made the work a lot of fun and so many great memories. ❤
You know, Miss Daisy has this sort of a slow stroll that says "what are they doing NOW in MY garden. Makes me think of an expression I've heard about cats. People don't HAVE cats. Cats have STAFF. 🤣
That applies to Daisy. YOU GUYS are her staff. She follows you around (from in front sometimes) to be sure you're not keeping everything for yourselves. 🤣 Just toooo cute!!
From the looks of the buffet for the animals... I think you NEED more goats!!! ❤ Too bad there isnt a good way to keep some of that for them for winter feeding.
Great video, (minus the ways to prepare slugs) 😉
    Happy harvesting!! ❤❤

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! What a harvest! That was quite a days work. So glad you had some sunshine. Can’t wait for the next video. And preservation videos coming? ❤🙏🏻Val C

Happy Monday Miss Val! Not sure how many preservation videos there will be. I’m going to hopefully make canned coleslaw. But for the most part, we’re just going to eat these vegetables fresh. After a while, if there’s any cabbage left, and it gets a little rubbery, then I’ll do the coleslaw video. 😊

Amazing cabbages and cauliflower. Do you use anything to keep the moths off? Wow great harvest! Good for you guys and also your livestock because they get to benefit from it as well.

Next year try kale chips...so good with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it. Don't know how long they keep, but while fresh, best way to enjoy it.

    You can dehydrate kale

I really love dehydrated or freeze dried kale as opposed canned, but we live off grid with a tiny solar system. We try to run those things when theres lots of sun, mid-summer. Unfortunately, by fall, the sun starts waining and we don’t have much surplus power. I wish harvest time and abundant sunshine overlapped in season a bit more. Mid-winter, I can dehydrate over the wood stove, but woodstove season and harvest season don’t overlap either. Ha! I think next year, I’ll freeze it all then save it til the wood stove is running 24/7. This year though, there’s no room in Camp Kenmore. Ha! Thanks for your comments friend . 😊

Hi Helen. Thanks for watching! We used the leftover roll of driveway fabric from working on our driveway. It’s just regular typar. Stay warm out there!
