Nice work man. I have a similar setup on my Commodore wagon. Very comfy! A suggestion for you... If you rotate your awning bracket so the long side is upright, then zip tie it to your roof cage for added support, it'll get your awning up a bit higher. I'm a fair bit taller so I guess I need it more than you, but it works a treat. Will also help with pitching the walls on your awning tent if you do so. So it's closer to the height of a 4WD. Happy travels. Look forward to seeing more vids in the future. 👍
I picked up a 2007 petrol hiace lwb for 5k, the bargains are out there if you happy to throw a bit of time at them to make them look good. Ebay can be a massive help, my hiace had bad headlights, oil leaks and a missing rear bumper. Head lights off eBay were 160ish
Love the work, recently I have been forced to live in my wagon 50% of the time, have got solar, 2nd battery, 500w inverter, TV on tail gate so I can lay down and watch TV... struggling for any sort of storage and am interested in making a 4 to 6 inch slide out storage under bed. I'm very interested in seeing your set up.. are you near south east Queensland?
I am living in NSW, as on my vdo i just do a simple bed with storage underneath with no permanent bolts to a car body. I spent under $150 to get all done. Wishing you all the very best and take care🙏
Nice, that's basically what I have done, but thinking of cutting the mattress a lille narrower to make a little storage shelf/cupboard thing. I have a house now but will still continue to work on the wagon/camper
Honestly i found a bit uncomfortable in realtime with that bed of mine coz of head high and lack of space but the reason I build that mainly for storage so now I’d removed and using gym mattress instead and most of my stuff goes on the roof basket and in titan drawer. I still went out and camp a fair bit even it’s winter now and i real life space that make me comfortable. If possible show me pictures of your camper wagon 👍🏼
Building a double bed in the wagon is good idea as long you can store stuffers under the bed would be an ideal just be aware of head high. Wishing you the very best of deck out and travel. Just be nothing but happy 😊
Hi mate for the curtain i used the still rod and bent each end to be able to hook to the side with out drilling any holes and for blockout i used an adhesive insulation form and cut to size to matching each windows. Cheers
15% front and the rest 5%. But right at the back are covered with insulation form to prevent from heat light and cold weather so it’s made my car look darker.
Get some wind deflectors so you can have the windows slightly open at night so you don't get so much condensation
Not a bad setup actually....
I like it.

Yep, can’t find a van of any kind for reasonable money in Australia. Even the crap ones are going for stupid money!
I know it’s just getting ridiculous

@@localtravellertube3366 yep I'm going to do draws under the bed 😊
Hi. I have just acquired the same type of wagon.
Was wondering how you made your block out curtains/shades?
Thank you.

Where did you get the fridge slide and the drawer underneath it from?
From 4wdsupa centre king’s products ( reasonable price and not bad quality)
That must be 5% tint on your Windows including the driver/passenger side, I didn't think it was legal to have 5% on the front driver passenger side

@@localtravellertube3366 ok cool
What size awning have you got? Looking for something similar.
