In LOVE with your line up! I've started a reading journal because of you. I used to start and stop journals all the time because I would get overwhelmed with creating art for each spread, but you showed me a different way of journaling that I'm in love with right now. Thank you!
My husband doesn't understand why we need so many journals....lol! I had to explain to him that each journal is for something specific. Like for 2025, I will have my reading journal and my bujo. I really like the idea of the finance tracking journal. That's such a great idea especially for those of us who own/operate a business or have several forms of income. So it's always good to know where the money is coming from and where the money goes. It's like have a bigger checkbook ledger.
I've been 'memory keeping' for 20 years now (they're not full of colour or pretty, but I am now on my third book for tickets, stubs, concert setlists, pieces from holidays, stickers, clippings, passes etc etc)
I have to admit that I stopped the video to go check out that beautiful A5 from Tiefossi! That is a new brand for me and I can tell already will be a favorite. Placed an order then came back to finish your video. 😁 I love seeing all the beautiful journals and how you are using them next year. I’ll be watching!
This video was so fun! Journals are addiction! I cannot pass up a beautiful journal! I love the texture, the smell, the endless possibilities that they represent. I currently have a commonplace journal which I use for spread ideas, project notes, holiday planning and just general stuff I want to remember now. I also have a long term collections journal as well as a reading journal. I have one that I use only for quotes or book passages as well. I’m excited for planner season set-ups!😃
I recently bought the A&O 8x8 “Frame Wall” journal for recording my reading, and I agree, there is so much space! The spreads feel like they’re widescreen!
I am actually starting my journaling journey next year! Today I ordered my first journal, a thermal printer and Tombow pens! There is still so much to buy, but I am looking forward to it. Your videos have been a great inspiration and ideas source ✨✨✨
I have a commonplace book, a reading journal, and a bujo. I also have a gaming notebook that I use for my RPGs, but I'm not playing right now. I'm always so tempted to blend everything into one journal, but the purposes and page layouts just don't work well for me that way. I could easily move reading into the bujo, which, as it's essentially my calendar/dayplanner, is where my memory keeping is, though I do precious little of that. I just bought a little kakeibo to use next year, and I'm hoping that takes! I'm trying to be less lazy and make my spreads prettier, but I'm old, so I have limited reading time left. :D
I would adore if more brands start making travel size journals, as well as kraft paper journals since I have eye issues and the kraft paper has the perfect color so I dont get tired. Your journals are beautiful as always expected no less!
I'm using the same embroidered mustard color journal from the sub box for my reading journal this year! I had been considering it for that purpose for ages and seeing you use yours that way made me want the bigger pages for large decoration! I have a lot of art/letters from authors I wanted the space to he able to glue or tape in. I use the square journals for my bullet journal each year (love it) but I know most people do the reverse to me and use an a5 (what i had been using previously for reading) for daily bujo and square for reading. I hope you enjoy the square! It's my favorite size for so many reasons ♡
I have 2 five-year journals that are 3 years old at this point, so still a couple of years to go in them. I have a yearly collections journal that I am on my 3rd year in. I am moving my reading journal into my current everyday journal, which is A4 and will give me space to do multiple books on one page and will therefore last me at least a couple of years. I have a long term collections journal which I have neglected horribly so I really want to get back into that. And my everyday journal will be one of the several A5 journals I have collected in the last couple of years, but I haven't decided which one I am going with. I have really enjoyed using an A4 in terms of the amount of space I have to work with, and being able to put what usually takes 2 pages into just one. I also have a journal that I use for the gym, but I want to set it up better than it currently is so it is easier to track progress. I have so many ideas and plans for 2025, no idea if any of it will come to pass LOL. Also, that journal for the reading journal giveaway is freaking gorgeous!
Im going from one journal to two journals next year! Ive been keeping a reading journal for all of 2024 and ive been very consistent with it so im gonna move into a new one for next year! The other journal im planning to be a memory keeping journal, with minimal writing. I bought a super pretty journal from systrene grene and it was just perfect for memory keeping. ☺️
I'm using 5 journals: bullet journal in a5, pocket sized to do list journal, a letter sized spell book from A+O for a media journal, an a5 politics and news journal and an a6 for a mental health journal :)
I’m also curious about your politics and news journal, that sounds like an incredible snapshot of humanity in this moment! I feel like there will be historians thanking you for that in the future! Also, LOVE a media journal! Letter size would give you SO much flexibility with that!
@noornamu6677 I'm keeping track of changes that are happening in the USA given the results of the last election, I'm in a minority group that is being targeted by the new administration so I'm trying to keep myself and my family safe by staying informed :) also notes from political science books📚
@@savannahwoods3222 I like this idea a lot! I usually dedicate a page per month where I write news from all around the world and big scientific breakthroughs maybe I’ll try a politics journal of my own too! Thanks for sharing and hope you and your family stay safe 💜
From the moment I saw you using that mustard embroidered journal I have loved it. And thanks AO black friday sale! 😀 and you are the second person to use that black spellbook as a 2025 reading journal.🪄
This is my first year journaling after using my planner for a workday log these past few months (a CYA book if you will), I’m starting out with one of the Archer and Olive square books for movie and tv show reviews to ease my way into it
Cognitive Surplus makes stinking cute Mini size notebooks that fall in the Travelers range (traditional, mini, passport). I find they’re amazing put into a folio in multiples and used on the go for lists, things to remember, quotes/song lyrics, mini sketchbook, etc.
my journal line up: everyday bujo, collections journal (long term & fun yearly collections is a new variant of one i have used the last few years), reading journal, intentions journal (goal setting journal) junk journaling journal & planning on having a more traditional long form journal
You could dye the mustard color. Tim Holtz's distress inks are great for that, I bet one of their browns would blend into that color and vintage-ify it well!
I’d really suggest getting fountain pen friendly swatch cards, or notebook…paper from Clairefontaine, Rhodia, Tomoe River, Iroful (which is amazing and inexpensive), Cosmo Air Light, Midori, Regalia, and I think there is also a brand local in Australia that’s great for fountain pen ink. I’d try the little book, but compare it to one of the ones listed to see if you are seeing all of the properties of the ink like shading, shimmering, sheening, and a good representation of the color. (I too am more obsessed with the inks than the pens…I have about 7 pens, and want to add some fun calligraphy nibs, but I’m about to order 30 different ink samples, and I’m so excited about that. Note: I won’t pay over $75 for a pen, and I haven’t yet…but there’s one I want that is about that price. A lot of pen stores online here sell ink samples from $1 - $4 for 2ml to 4ml of ink…plenty to try an ink out without investing in a large bottle. I’ve also gotten obsessed with watching ink swatching videos, lol.) P.S. that embroidered light blue journal is absolutely stunning!!!! I do love that mustard colored embroidered journal, and was sad it was sold out in the subscription box…but, it is returning soon! Along with a bunch of other cool stuff from past subscription boxes, so that’s exciting.
For 2025 I am planning on using the A5 Leelajournals rose & lace journal for my main journal, and a square Archer & Olive one for my reading journal - I'm excited to try this (new to me) size! I also have an ongoing original size Notebook Therapy journal I use as for daily journaling - I started it in August this year and it should last well into 2025.
I'm planning to start three journals: a bullet journal for organization, a reading journal to track my thoughts on books, and an aesthetic journal (is that a thing?) for creating visual representations of my favorite stories. 😊
A great insight, I like how straight forward and comprehensive your videos are. Regarding the memory keeping: You might want to look into "Memory Planning" (but be ware of the "Rabbit", don't follow it too deep. :D) It's a more casual way of logging daily occurrences and moments, you probably wouldn't put into a big photo album and is mainly done in a creative, photo and embellishment focused way. I also did a hybird of BuJo and Memory Keeping before, but just like you, found, that I'd like to have it (also?) as a separate project. Many people use a predated or at least predesigned (weekly) Planner for it , and fill it up with memorabilia and pictures as time goes by. Hence the name. I'm using a quite big "Classic size" (in Happy Planner terms) discbound planner for it, which allows for a lot of dimensional embellishments from the scrapbooking world and could allow extra pages, but I'm also always tempted to switch to a smaller, bound one, since I love books and it might reduce the urge to "over design" the page. Anyway: The whole notion of "journaling backwards" in a pre defined space is something I really like. It's such a great opportunity for reflection, within some "boundaries" you set by the type of system you choose, which - at least for me - makes it easier to complete it as if I were to start on a blank page and had to decide, what I want to put where or decide what goes together. The cozy cocoa - book moment from last monday? The not so nice but moody picture of the rain at the bus stop on friday? Just put that picture on that date, bash a sticker or stamp on if you lik and you're good. I love it. (:
I was struggling to convince myself that I didn't need to buy any more journals this year and having just watched this video, I have absolutely lost my resolve! 😂 I absolutely cannot wait for your next video. The reading journal looks divine. ❤
I can’t afford journals!! I have just bought an A5 Yop and Tom journal for 2025. Far fancier than my first one! I only started this year. So nervous and excited to start. I am not creative and have no calligraphy skills so mine won’t be looking as great as yours but it’s all about the process and getting better. Thank you so much for your Skillshare month subscription I have used it for my lettering and it seems very affordable so I am thinking of subscribing. It seems like a good idea to get an Archer and Olive subscription box as you get such good value for the money and as someone who has just started my supplies are very limited! Thank you for all that you do for me. 😊
The Yop and Tom journals are so good! We all have to start somewhere, I promise my first few journals weren’t very pretty but I’m 7 years in now - it’s all about practice! You’re off to an excellent start with the Skillshare classes! 😍
I’m focusing on book journals this year! I’m finally almost finished with my 2021 reading journal of 17 books, so then I have 45 books for 2022 for that journal, 150 books for 2023 in a new journal, and then 108 books as of now for 2024 to log in a third journal! Then I’ll start 2025 fresh with a new journal for the upcoming year! ❤
I'm an accountant, yet, writing things down on paper really does help clarify how the money is flowing. Spreadsheets are great to help combine things, but day to day / month to month, yeah, paper is great to help understand things. Builds awareness and consciousness when asking "do i need this, or want this"?
Hi ! I jumped on your video as soon as I saw it online. Im using 7 notebooks this year. One A5 bujo, one B5 diary, one Square reading journal, one Traveller's size for my game sheet, a letter size for my herbalism (fully decorated and beautiful) + one A5 for my herbalism reserches (full of markers, flowers drawn everythere, notes and stuff all around the place) and a pocket size for my little stupid notes.
I have 6 journals : diary, health journal, commonplace book/dump journal, video game journal, my agenda for serious stuffs and finally a journal I share with my sister :) Never enough journals !
I’ve gone with all Sterling Ink this year. I go back and forth on paper thickness, and right now I love the thinner papers. Plus I’m a grid girlie, alllll the way. I’m using a printed planner from them in the N2 size, a journal in N2 (that won’t last the whole year), a witchy books of sorts in A6, a commonplace book in B6, plus a B6 five year. It’s so true that the travellers size is so rare in thicker notebooks, I really would love to see more size options, as someone who jumps around the sizes.
Wow, watching you handle those B5 notebooks, I'm really glad I didn't chose one for myself. I don't think I would like them either. Funny enough, that being said I bought an AO square journal from their Attic Treasures 2024 line for my 2025 reading journal. I have most of my yearly spreads in it already and am LOVING it. I find it much more comfy of a size than the A5 I used this year. I'm also moving from an A5 to a Traveller's size notebook for my regular daily bullet journal. I found the A5 a little too combersome to take places, so I'm hoping the smaller size will fix that. I bought mine from Notebook Therapy and I fully expect to have to buy another around July, but I'm ok witht that. Def interested to see how you like those sizes as we move through the new year! 🦄
oh my! been thinking to include a memory keeping journal too for 2025 onward! but in a square journal. BUT square journal is kind of limited in my country (maybe due to shipping fee wise). but yeah, calling for other journal brands, do more square & travel size journals option please :)
Heck yes memory keeping journal! I keep one which is a "living journal" and is similar to the reel you showed. Next year it will be in a Tsuki A5 black page journal- first time with black pages. And I just got my first AO journal, also A5, which will be for my weeklies in 2025 🥰
I'm thinking of doing a memory keeping journal, I have the red one you use for your morris dancing and think that would be the perfect size. I have most of my next years reading journal pencilled out but now I've seen you're doing a square I'm going to wait until your set up comes out so I can steal ideas lol . Great video Erin :)
Hi Erin! Lovely video! This year I had the impulse to try an MD journal with grid pages and I looooove writing on it with my fountain pen so around April I stopped journaling on my bujo and I’ve been doing a monthly calendar, gratitude lines and some memory keeping on the bujo, while journaling on the MD journal. For 2025 I’ve decided to use a traveller sized Ferris Wheel notebook (I haven’t seen them much so I’m curious if they aren’t good quality maybe) and I’ll continue journaling on my MD notebook.
I will have a B5 everyday journal which I do memory keeping in, not picked out yet, my square project journal for my sewing projects, 2 A5 journals for D&D games and my B5 swatch journal. All but the everyday journal will carry over from this year to the new.
I’m cutting down to 6 journals this year. Travelers size reading journal! So excited. Hobonichi cousin catch all. Bullet journal for health and fitness journal Travelers notebook for pickleball only, travelers journal for finances and savings for home. Travelers notebook for actual traveling. I’m going on a cruise in December. Excited for all my set ups. I would love that reading journal as a gift though. I read over 100 books a year and usually run out of space, so I could really use that big book.
Currently, I've got a B5 a&o as my reading journal. I really only started in sept, so im just going to keep using it until it's full...not sure if I'll start with a new books read list for 2025. The next reading journal after that will be a blackout square, so I'm super excited for that one, too. Just started another a5 for my everyday (3rd one this year). Am going to start long form journaling in it in January. Hoping to use up 1 per quarter... Have 2 pocket bujos from bullet journal - one has my TBR list, one has pen swatches in the front and washi swatches in the back. Have some other a5s set aside for yearly collections and long term collections but might combine them into one...still planning those. Oh and i havent decided if i want to do finances/debt in my every day one...or a yearly one. 😉 Love all the inspo I get from your channel... and I might join page mages for 2025, too!
If you like journalling and memory keeping, have you thought about using a hobonichi or hemlock and oak planner, it has daily pages as well as the weekly and monthly
You are way more organized than I am, LOL! I'm lucky if I keep up with one journal, though I am just starting a second, reading journal. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I'm down sizing my journals this year. I got overwhelmed with my journals, but I think that was mostly because of my attempt at making my reading journal more artsy than I have the energy for most of the time. So I am using a Leuchtturm 1917 A5, I believe, journal for my Budgeting journal, and an Archer and Olive letter size (I believe the size name is called) for my planning/reading journal. I'm a little worried that I wont get the whole year in the my planning/reading journal but I do have an extra A5 floating around my house some where that I can use if I need to.
What a beautiful line up!! That square reading journal, wow! *drools a little * I'm starting to get quite interested in these reading journals.. I might have to pay more attention to them and think about creating one for myself ❤
@ErinSmith Haha! Yes!! I will have to watch it again! .. I think I would use the black skull notebook! I love crime/cop/who done it type books! Currently 19 books in to the James Patterson, Women's Murder club series. It has been SO nice reading a series and not having to work out what I'm going to read next!! Haha ❤️❤️
Love this! I thought that I would be using about 6 journals next year but I keep adding ones 🤣😂 I will have to do an updated video when I finalize the list
Definitely going to have to get several of those Tiefossi 256 page A5 journals for my reading journals for 2023 and beyond! In 2023 I read 150 books, 108 so far in 2024! I need all the room! 😂
FYI the embroidered mustard journal that you used as a reading journal in a subscription box is is NOW AVAILABLE on the Archer and Olive Black Friday sale! They brought it back specifically for the sale
I've decided to start a reading journal in the new year because I'm running out of review space in my current one and I like to write a full review for each book I read. I think I'll go over the number they have if I repurchase it for next year since I've just about used them all this year. It's a bummer for me because I love the gothic aesthetic of the pages in this one but I couldn't find a pre-made one that had the number of reviews or the review criteria I like that wasn't the "minimalism, coffee, cats, potted plants" vibe that just really isn't my style. I ended up going with a dotted journal (that I think is A5 or close to it) that I found for a good price from a craft store by me, and it also had a pretty good paper weight for it being $7 with a coupon. I've tried to do a planner in the bullet journal style in the past and couldn't keep up with making the spreads, so if I actually keep up with this over the next year I'll let myself buy a nicer "pretty" journal next. I do currently have a junk journal that's in the style that you showed in this video, I'm bad with wanting to keep pretty packaging or stickers I'll never actually put on anything, so I've been collecting them there. I'm a rambler, I'll stop here 😅 I've really enjoyed getting inspiration from your reading journal videos, the supplies I ordered are supposed to get here today and I can't wait to start playing around with layouts and such.
I use a pre printed planner and I have a reading journal. My first reading journal was a square A&O, which I loved that size, but I’m currently using a B5, which I also like. You could use the Travelers size for your reading journal all the time, just do the first half of the year in one and the second half of the year in another. 🤷♀️
I've moved away from journaling into hobonichi planners because I got too in my head about creating beautiful spreads, but man do I miss having a physical journal/diary. I think I'll try a reading journal next year because as much as I love the stats in StoryGraph, I don't wholly remember the books I've read and reviewed 😂
I uses the same A&O b5 journal for my 2024 reading journal... only I don't do full spreads for my books. So I'm only halfway though the journal and it will also be my 2025 reading journal (or entertainment journal as I also uses it for tv, movies, plays etc.)
You’ve inspired me to make a journal for 2025 so ty for that! I made one for this year but it looked awful & I always forgot to do my daily stuff, & then I gave up in May. Hopefully it goes better this year? Especially by mid-March onwards coz I’ll be done with major exams by then. It’s from a local brand so idk how it will be but it’s pink, so… can’t be too bad.
I LOVE your stack, I tried a travelers size notebook this year and I really really loved it, and if you want to make a memory keeping journal may I suggest a hobonichi notebook it is perfect for pasting lots of ephemera inside the paper is very thin but really durable For 2025 I’m going to use a Bullet journal in the original size of notebook therapy (I’m going to use the one in the lucky box) A hobonichi weeks planner A5 year diary from hobonichi
@ErinSmith even if i don't win, I think I'm going to follow along to make my own. Is subscribing to your RUclips channel the only thing we have to do or did I miss something.
Erin I'm screaming that's so many notebooks 😂 I really want one of the NT travellers notebooks but they're all ivory paper and I'm a white paper girlie! Fingers crossed they'll bring out some white paper ones 🤞
@@ErinSmith Hemlock & Oak do have a couple of beautiful dot grid TNs. They are a Canadian company. The Canadian Post strike is affecting a lot of Canadian businesses. I'm not sure Hemlock & Oak are going with other shipping methods during the holidays or not.
I have my plannere (Hobonichi Weeks), a commonplace notebook (Moleskine--I know the complaints about the paper but I only use gel pens or ballpoints in there so they hold up) and a journal for prompts/thoughts (Leuchtturn 1917). The planner and the commonplace are new since I finished my 2024 planner (Hobonichi A6 Hon) and I just finished my old commonplace book (also a Moleskine). I am nowhere near done with my journal, so I will continue with that. Everything else I keep on my laptop or my phone (reading journal, budget, etc). Oh! nearly forgot, I have a 5 year prompt journal that I finished this year and will start again next year! Different cover, same questions, but I am looking forward to that.
I decided this year to make a real effort to read more. I bought a Kobo Libra Colour and have been loving highllighting and making notes in it. But now I'm seriously considering keeping a physical reading journal. I'm already a 'journaller,' but I just use cheap notebooks to jot down thoughts, and they aren't decorated. I'm also already keeping a cross stitch journal, which I made for myself in a junk journal style. So, a reading journal doesn't seem too far out of my wheelhouse, I guess. All this to say, that black gorgeousness you showed off... I think I'll be trying to win it 😅
So excited to see what you create and how you use the square notebook another youtuber who loves this size and aesthetics' just so beautiful is Plant Based Bride :)
All my journals are digital and on my boox note air 3c. So I have my bullet journal set up already I'm currently moving bills and important dates into it when I want to journal and am bored. I've got my reading journal set up and I moved my medical journal back into my bullet journal because my last one was only a couple of pages. I am setting up a common place journal soon and I'm thinking of adding a better formatted long form journal. Currently my long form is just lined pages and I would like the options for photos and such. I have a journal that's just important dates and info, so things like care matenince and long term goals and astrological dates is in that. And I have one that I sketch in that I want to practice more in. So that's like seven I'm working in. The notes app on the boox device makes it very easy to go to pages and search and just copy pages out of notebooks and paste them into others. It saves me a lot of time and space. I'm a van lifer so I had to switch to digital but picked a color eink tablet so I still get a lot of the same experience as physical. I still use washi and stickers and paste in photos they are just all jpegs.
I've found the same thing when using a B5 for my reading journal, I thought I'd love all the extra space, and while sometimes it is nice, sometimes i look at a book spread and think it'd look nicer on an A5 page. 😅 So I'm going back to an A5 next year! But I don't know which one from which brand to get at the moment! I also use a Hobnichi weeks as my general life planner and an A6 Hobonichi techo for memory keeping.
If you are looking for more embroidered notebooks, check out Baylee Jae's ones. Hobonichi is a brand that makes traveler sized notebooks, if that could be something for you.
OK!!! it would ONLY Seem fair that I get to add a reading journal (my first one mind you, AND my first archer and Olive EVER) to the collection of Erin I'm trying to sport in my home!! I wanted this journal from them so bad but they sold out quickly and it's just not in the cards for me UNLESS I'm lucky enough to win this beauty. Also, never enough notebooks!!! NEVER!!!! 😂
I only have two journals planned for next year (three if you count my swatch book I guess). One is my everyday bullet journal (though I only use monthly collections and habit trackers plus book reviews) and the other one is a 5-year-journal that will be set up to track my transition (I came out as non-binary a year ago and would like to document the process, as I will start social and medical transitioning in 2025). I additionally keep a few notebooks for work and my writing projects but they don't really count in my opinion as they're meant for note taking and not very pretty at all
What a wonderful idea for your 5 year journal! All the best with this next stage of your transition journey 💕 I love a swatch book! Do you swatch inks in yours too, or something else?
@@ErinSmith Thank you❤ I have a lot of different pens, mostly alcohol and water-based markers, coloured pencils and oil pastels. I also use it to sample my bullet journal themes before committing
Have you used more than one Tiefossi? I am currently using one for my creative journal. I'm on month 3 and in month 2 the spine of the journal detached from the binding of the pages. The pages luckily still intact but I was disappointed that it didn't hold up. Maybe I just got a lemon?
Atm I only have a reading journal. I was planning on starting my first bullet journal, but it just doesn’t match my lifestyle/work. I want to start a travel journal (dream destinations and memories), and also thought of a Christmas journal (wishlists, gift ideas, budget, events calendar, tracking online orders), which would last many years. I would love to journal more, just need the ideas to mesh with my life too. (Also, I LOVE mustard yellow) *wink* Edit: Oh yeah, and I have my art journal ofc! Can’t believe I forgot that. It’s not a notebook though, but a watercolour sketchbook.
Cant wait to see your next videos with the new letter stamps from London! Your boyfriend or partner is cute. Do you sell your journals anywhere? I am trying an app journal Fabulous but I end up with nothing tangible. Using Wakeout to exercise and free Apple app keeps track of it for me but again I end up with nothing you can hold. Hard enough for me to just check off stuff I do on my iPad mini. So not sure about journaling but I fill up artist sketch books and dont really like my notes and lists mixed in. What to do....
I’m definitely planning to use the stamps for my reading journal for next year 😍 I don’t sell them anywhere but I am giving away a bullet journal and a reading journal for next year at the moment!
@ Yes, I think I entered to win the mystery journal--I love it and have perfect gray green shimmer ink to go with it! I can make it shimmer but not sheen. Did several works in paper. I've given up but green shimmer will do!
Hi Saeed! I love Malaysia, my partner has family in PJ, Seremban and Penang so we visit a lot 😍 Mine are from Archer and Olive, sadly both my travelers size journals aren’t available anymore but they do have other styles that are also really pretty! Notebook Therapy also sell some nice ones!
"Mustard is just not my jam." Condiments as adjectives is always funny.
It was unintentional when I said it but I had a giggle while editing! 😂
Didn't notice that until you pointed it out. So funny. :D
In LOVE with your line up! I've started a reading journal because of you. I used to start and stop journals all the time because I would get overwhelmed with creating art for each spread, but you showed me a different way of journaling that I'm in love with right now. Thank you!
This makes me so happy to hear! 😍😍
OMG a preset up Book Journal? That's fantastic!!!
I’m so excited about it!
I think I have too - I just didn’t have a name for it! I started a notebook with my friends back in 2005, I’ll have to dig it out one day soon!
I used only one journal for everything 👌🏻 but I began to add my reading pages when I saw your video ! It is nice to track what we read !
I love that! All-in-one!
I so understand, it’s a showstopper! 😍
This video was so fun! Journals are addiction! I cannot pass up a beautiful journal! I love the texture, the smell, the endless possibilities that they represent. I started a reading journal this year and did it in an A&O 8x8 journal and have loved it. Space to decorate and review.
You’re going to have so much fun! 😍 enjoy!
I’m so excited! I have some of these journals so I can’t wait to see your vision in them!! ❤😊
Thanks for helping me talk through the reading journal giveaway notebook decision 😘
@ I did not do anything! This is all you and you made great decisions 🎉🌻
I would adore if more brands start making travel size journals, as well as kraft paper journals since I have eye issues and the kraft paper has the perfect color so I dont get tired. Your journals are beautiful as always expected no less!
That’s a consideration I’d never thought of! It’s so good to get an understanding of what works best for different folks!
I’ve been bullet journaling for a few years but I’m gonna be starting my first ever reading journal in 2025 and I’m so excited!!
You're going to have so much fun!
I’m loving this low-text memory keeping for us! 😍
I'm using 5 journals: bullet journal in a5, pocket sized to do list journal, a letter sized spell book from A+O for a media journal, an a5 politics and news journal and an a6 for a mental health journal :)
A politics journal sounds really interesting may I ask what are you writing in it?
I’m also curious about your politics and news journal, that sounds like an incredible snapshot of humanity in this moment! I feel like there will be historians thanking you for that in the future! Also, LOVE a media journal! Letter size would give you SO much flexibility with that!
@noornamu6677 I'm keeping track of changes that are happening in the USA given the results of the last election, I'm in a minority group that is being targeted by the new administration so I'm trying to keep myself and my family safe by staying informed :) also notes from political science books📚
That makes so much sense. Take care out there 💕
@@savannahwoods3222 I like this idea a lot! I usually dedicate a page per month where I write news from all around the world and big scientific breakthroughs maybe I’ll try a politics journal of my own too! Thanks for sharing and hope you and your family stay safe 💜
For your Canadian fans, Hemlock & Oak makes beautiful journals, including traveller sizes!
i started watching your videos back in 2021 i love them soooo much. i like the spreads u do. love your channel
Wow you’re an OG! Thank you for coming on this ride with me 🥹
From the moment I saw you using that mustard embroidered journal I have loved it. And thanks AO black friday sale! 😀 and you are the second person to use that black spellbook as a 2025 reading journal.🪄
Yes I saw Jess is using it too! I’m excited to find it a forever home 🥰
Thanks for this! They weren’t on my radar at all!
my journal line up: everyday bujo, collections journal (long term & fun yearly collections is a new variant of one i have used the last few years), reading journal, intentions journal (goal setting journal) junk journaling journal & planning on having a more traditional long form journal
I ordered the notebook therapy luck box too! Coming on Saturday and I can’t wait!
My tracking info isn’t working but I’m hoping it arrives soon 🤣
I absolutely cannot wait for your next video. The reading journal looks divine. ❤
It's about 12 hours away 😊 I can't wait for you to see!
Wowee that’s a project 😍
I am currently using two journals. One is for personal day-to-day memory keeping and the other one is a reading journal.
And I just got my first AO journal, also A5, which will be for my weeklies in 2025 🥰
What a great way to use a blackout journal! 😍
That would be SUCH a good memory keeping journal! 😍
Reading journal from you would be a dream come true 😊
I’m cutting down to 6 journals this year. Travelers size reading journal! So excited. Hobonichi cousin catch all. Bullet journal for health and fitness journal
Travelers notebook for pickleball only, travelers journal for finances and savings for home. Travelers notebook for actual traveling. I’m going on a cruise in December. Excited for all my set ups. I would love that reading journal as a gift though. I read over 100 books a year and usually run out of space, so I could really use that big book.
I absolutely love that you have a pickleball notebook!
Your 2025 reading journal is gorgeous! 😍
I'm still using my spring hobonichi but looking for sturdier paper from archer and olive! these covers are to die for!!!
I have my bullet journal for everyday life. A reading journal. And a junk notebook for work with pattern ideas, orders, notes, etc. (I’m a seamstress)
That sounds like a magical junk journal, what a creative resource!
Lovely notebook.. i love stationery so maybe i loved every single one of them 😊❤
This was such an inspiring video, omg... I never thought I would want a travellers notebook (I'm a B5 girl haha) but now I want to try out one! ♥︎
You might surprise yourself 😉
Love all the inspo I get from your channel... and I might join page mages for 2025, too!
this is so cute, I love these covers so much ☺☺
I’m really enjoying the detailed full-cover embossing trend lately, I hope that sticks around for a while! 😍
If you like journalling and memory keeping, have you thought about using a hobonichi or hemlock and oak planner, it has daily pages as well as the weekly and monthly
I have considered it but I’m ghosting-averse 🥲
I love the mustard color 😍 I think I’ll try the travel journal in 2025 - ohhh that spell book ❤❤❤ great line up!
What a beautiful line up!! That square reading journal, wow! *drools a little *
I'm starting to get quite interested in these reading journals.. I might have to pay more attention to them and think about creating one for myself ❤
I have a video about where to start with that 😉 which of your collection would you use for a reading journal? 😍
Omg I got the notebook therapy's lucky bag too, so excited for it to arrive 😂
Definitely going to have to get several of those Tiefossi 256 page A5 journals for my reading journals for 2023 and beyond! In 2023 I read 150 books, 108 so far in 2024! I need all the room! 😂
I haven't come across any other journals with that many pages at 160GSM, it's so wild!
FYI the embroidered mustard journal that you used as a reading journal in a subscription box is is NOW AVAILABLE on the Archer and Olive Black Friday sale! They brought it back specifically for the sale
That's amazing! I didn't realise it was part of the favourites restock!
I do everything in one A5 journal from A&O and use bout 3 per year!
If anyone wants the mustard embroidered B5, it's back on the A&O website now. 😊
The small blue notebook feels perfect for anyone collecting autographs or signatures.
That’s such a good idea! Perfect size for throwing in a pocket or handbag!
I use a pre printed planner and I have a reading journal. My first reading journal was a square A&O, which I loved that size, but I’m currently using a B5, which I also like. You could use the Travelers size for your reading journal all the time, just do the first half of the year in one and the second half of the year in another. 🤷♀️
I’d need to use four, I can only fit three months into a travelers 🤣 I like trying different sizes to give viewers ideas too though so it’s all good!
@@ErinSmith I think that's what Hedda (mochibujo) does for her bullet journal!
1:27 how beautiful 😍
Isn’t she pretty? 😍
It's ridiculous how much the reading journal helps with remembering books! I couldn't recommend it enough!
I uses the same A&O b5 journal for my 2024 reading journal... only I don't do full spreads for my books. So I'm only halfway though the journal and it will also be my 2025 reading journal (or entertainment journal as I also uses it for tv, movies, plays etc.)
I love that! It sounds like it’s serving you so well 😍
You’ve inspired me to make a journal for 2025 so ty for that!
I LOVE your stack, I tried a travelers size notebook this year and I really really loved it, and if you want to make a memory keeping journal may I suggest a hobonichi notebook it is perfect for pasting lots of ephemera inside the paper is very thin but really durable
For 2025 I’m going to use a Bullet journal in the original size of notebook therapy (I’m going to use the one in the lucky box)
A hobonichi weeks planner
A5 year diary from hobonichi
I love looking at different sizes. I always seem to not be like everyone else
Totally subscribed for the book journal give away. Gorgeous 😍
Aww thank you! I'm drawing it tomorrow so you'll need to be quick!
It is a lot of notebooks, I’m lowkey screaming too 🤣 I’m personally on team ivory paper, how wild that I don’t have one yet!
@ErinSmith I can't really talk, I'm using 5 🤣
Hemlock & Oak make a traveler size journal they're lovely!!
Ooh I’m not familiar with them, thank you for this! I’ll check them out!
What a wonderful video to wake up to!
🥹🥰
So mustard isn’t my jam either, HOWEVER the strawberry plant was so this very journal became my Garden Journal! I love it for this
That’s a match made in heaven! 😍
06:10 so beautiful. both of the cover and size 👍
I think I'll be trying to win it 😅
Love a cheap notebook! 😍
Ooohhh the rough sized pages look interesting
Great video. Do the Tiefossi books do better with fountain pens than A&O?
I've found the same thing when using a B5 for my reading journal, I thought I'd love all the extra space, and while sometimes it is nice, sometimes i look at a book spread and think it'd look nicer on an A5 page. 😅 So I'm going back to an A5 next year! But I don't know which one from which brand to get at the moment!
I also use a Hobnichi weeks as my general life planner and an A6 Hobonichi techo for memory keeping.
I'm so glad it's not just me! 😅
I’m so sorry to hear that! I’ve only used this one so far. Which one from their range do you have?
Atm I only have a reading journal. I was planning on starting my first bullet journal, but it just doesn’t match my lifestyle/work. I want to start a travel journal (dream destinations and memories), and also thought of a Christmas journal (wishlists, gift ideas, budget, events calendar, tracking online orders), which would last many years.
I would love to journal more, just need the ideas to mesh with my life too.
(Also, I LOVE mustard yellow) *wink*
Edit: Oh yeah, and I have my art journal ofc! Can’t believe I forgot that. It’s not a notebook though, but a watercolour sketchbook.
A friend of mine does a Christmas journal, it’s such a lovely idea! 😍
my adhd ahh brain is loving this

Hi erin, saeed from malaysia. Love you video btw. May i know your travelling size journal you got from where ?
@ErinSmith wow great to know that you knew about malaysia 😁 so sad they are not available anymore. Thanks anyway
❤❤❤
It's definitely not too many journals. I say as I have 12 working journals hehe :D
Does an A4 journal with think pages exist?
Archer and Olive make a Letter sized one - I have one but I haven’t decided yet what I want to use it for 🤣
@@ErinSmith Oh very interesting, I will have to have a look. Thanks
omg what did you think of project hail mary?
I LOVED IT 😍 I talked about it a bit in my reading journal video that went up a few days ago!
IS THE SPELLBOOK SOMETHING NEW OR ARE THEY SOLD OUT??👀👀
They’re not available anymore sorry 😢 I got this one back in May and I’ve just been hoarding it!
