Million dollar experiences on such a small budget. People pay big bucks to experience for a few days what people who own and sail a sailboat get to live as a daily life. Moments with family and friends like that are priceless. I will be waiting for your next video. As usual, this video was top notch. I don't even miss cable TV anymore.
Yes, you don't need to be rich to enjoy these types of adventures with the people that are most important in your lives. :) Really glad to hear you enjoyed the video and stay tuned for the next one!
Great series! I really enjoyed seeing how much you and your kids enjoyed your time together. Reminded me of the adventures my parents shared with me. I'm so glad I came across your channel, and look forward to watching more!
Thank you!! I sure love having my kids along for these adventures and I hope they will join me for many more to come!! Glad it brought back some memories for you and welcome aboard! Thank you for watching and commenting! :)
We just discovered your videos and have completely enjoyed them! We are still working our way through your other videos, but this series is perfect for us, as we get our (power) boat ready for a cruise to Desolation Sound in the late spring of 2019. We do love our boat, but sailing really intrigues us, so you just never know, we might buy a sailboat sometime down the road. Thank you so much for all your work on and your insight in your videos - well done! You can be sure we’ll say hello if we ever cross paths out there someday.
Excellent trip. I enjoyed coming along, thanks. You have two awesome kids and they really seemed to enjoy themselves. You must be a great dad. On to the next adventure!
Looks like the kids have docking down really good. That was a fast pit stop for gas! lol Can't wait to see where you are headed! Take care, Craig from S.C.
This was an epic journey to watch. You did an amazing job of boating and filming as always. Would seriously love to grab a beer with you sometime and talk shop next time you're in the Gibsons neck of the woods!
The Tall ship I was on , was going past a pier with a big building on it and as you know we have very high masts , and as we came past the building a small sea plane almost hit us.
Hi Alfie and greetings from the UK. Really enjoyed the whole series and what a wonderful cruising ground you have to play in! Very intrigued to find out where you're going next. Fair winds
Looking forward to your "next adventure". Nice preview. Perhaps some sailing scenes - with wind? I just got back from an 8 day sail on the Chesapeake (East Coast). Had several days of 20-30. Too much for me but still enjoyed it.
Excellent as always Alfy. Got a feeling youre headed to Rupert? Its only a guess mind you. Children had the body language that they were sad the trip was over! Really looking forward to seeing the next adventure 👍⛵👌
Glad you enjoyed it! You will have to stayed tuned to see where I end up going next! :) Yes the kids are always a little bummed out on the last day of our trips as am I.
I guess kids are back at school and wishing they were up at Squirrel Cove. The Harbour Air Float Planes. Do they let you know if they are landing and taking off
Harbour Air is on one side of Coal Harbour and the Marina on the other and the fuelling dock sitting in the middle hard to explain unless you have seen the area. To top it off is the Sea Bus moving people from Vancouver to North Vancouver and weaving between the ocean freighters waiting and heading out.
Me too, I've been listening to Ch 16 and I have to give credit to Coast Guard in Victoria and Washington for their skill in handling the issues on the water. I can just imagine being the radio operator keeping eye on water and air in Vancouver Harbour. Then to sail in or out of that very busy harbour. I have to give credit to the skill of the various sailors.
I definitely think they realize how lucky they are to do these trips. :) The three of us have so much fun and they always look forward to the next adventure!
Thanks and really glad to hear you enjoy the videos! As for work I would say that I have a good full time job that I really enjoy, but gotta keep a little mystery about me. lol
I was wondering that myself. But, you are a incredible artist with a wonderful eye! It shows in your videos and the few drawings that you shared. Keep them coming, because I'm living vicariously thru your vids.
Thanks, for taking us on your cruise and sharing your family adventures with us. But that was cruel tempting us, and now we have to wait. By the way, do you do any drawings while you're out there, if you don't, you probably should, it would quite reasonable to do so, or take photos, and draw them up when you're on the hook?
Glad you enjoyed coming along with us for this trip! Well I figured a sneak peek would be fun, but yes cruel. haha I wish had more time to draw while out cruising, but most of my time seems to be taken with making the videos when I am not doing activities with the kids. :)
Well, time with your kids is very important, more than drawings. But I suppose, you could take pictures now, then draw another time. Some of those drawings could include your kids, for your own personal collection of memories.

Fair winds
Hello from Canada! Really glad you enjoyed the series and yes I sure am lucky to live in this part of the world! Stay tuned! Fair winds to you!
Looking forward to your "next adventure". Nice preview. Perhaps some sailing scenes - with wind? I just got back from an 8 day sail on the Chesapeake (East Coast). Had several days of 20-30. Too much for me but still enjoyed it.
Glad you are looking forward to the next adventure! Of course I try to get as many sailing clips in as I can.. :)

Everyone loves a cliffhanger I figured! ;) lol

Do they let you know if they are landing and taking off
Yes, it is that time of year when the kids go back to school! :) No the planes don't broadcast over the vhf.
I was amazed to learn that boats have stand-on over sea-planes. I wouldn't want to get in the way of one though.
I live in the area - quite familiar. Hats off to the sailors who go in and out of there. I've only done it 2x by water. 1x by air.
Me too, I've been listening to Ch 16 and I have to give credit to Coast Guard in Victoria and Washington for their skill in handling the issues on the water. Off again lucky you! I wait on a head sail repair then I'll take off again too.
I hope the sail repair goes quick so you can get out soon!!
Do those kids know how fortunate they are? I hope so. They are learning things they don't even know.
I definitely think they realize how lucky they are to do these trips. :) The three of us have so much fun and they always look forward to the next adventure!
awesome alfy,,
Thank you!!
hello ....love your videos....just wondering what line of work you are in??
Thanks and really glad to hear you enjoy the videos! As for work I would say that I have a good full time job that I really enjoy, but gotta keep a little mystery about me. lol
Keeping the mystery alive! ;) lol
I was wondering that myself. But, you are a incredible artist with a wonderful eye! It shows in your videos and the few drawings that you shared. Keep them coming, because I'm living vicariously thru your vids.
Tim Moore Thanks for your comment about the artwork and the videos! Glad you can live vicariously through them!
too cool !
:)

Big round watermelon I take tons of pictures on the tips too so I can definitely make drawings of them later. :)
Why in the world did you not track that twin otter on take off? That would have looked so good.
Well....I try, but I can't get all the shots.
Not fussin
Are you doing the inside passage to Alaska?
Well I don't want to give all the details of my next trip after that cliffhanger! lol
I'm not coming out west to buy a boat.....the dream is dead
Hope it works out for you.
:)
Bitter-sweet end to a wonderful vacation with the kids.... and then a NEW adventure. Thanks for taking us along Alfy.
