I too skipped the first few minutes of the videos for a while but then I noticed that you say all sort of interesting things about the game and other things in that time interval, so now I just watch it from start to finish :) skipping would substract valuable insights and observations.
That first cavalry charge with sundering blades looked terrifying. I feel like those first 3 statues/destros were the saviors of that game, great snap decision. All that extra gold from not going into high upkeep seemed to help as well. GG to you both.

@@Blutwind Lich ult would literally be the only chance to cement victory here if the opponent didn't lose the heroes so quickly and gg. D&D is the only thing that can devour human buildings with masonry with so much efficiency and speed
Looks a bit like a player switching back from StarCraft. Big focus on macro adventage (though that's not unusual in this matchup), splitting forces of significant upkeep to different places to force a deicision between fight or save expos (tanks/Gyros) but still fighting a serious battle.
With such a bad beginning for human (DK stole 3 kreeps, 1 troll healer and 2 workers from him; took 2,5 level much before the am) he came back and had several close chances to get grubby. Amazing game from both players, gg grub
Grubby's coil usage will never cease to puzzle me. He still insists on saving doomed units of little value over directly killing expensive and high-XP-yielding enemy units or even heroes. Amazing! :O
@@phoenixlich I'll argue that it's his second best after his Orc. It's just that sometimes he makes questionable choices that lose him games which he's otherwise winning.
@@kurzackd except that literally during TODAY'S stream (7/24/19) he said UD is his worst race and listed his winrates that i named above as evidence. And i agree with him. NE is his best off race by a mile.
@@phoenixlich except that I've faced Grubby plenty of times on the ladder and played against all his races and can testify that UD is certainly among his better ones.
@@kurzackd his UD is solid. it's no 120 or Happy, either. He's not particularly bad with anything, tho i think he's stated more than once that he likes human the least, and i believe he's doing well with them currently because they're a bit op atm.

Why don't you get burrow ability bit early for fiends ,in my opinion it's worth to waste your opponents gold on dust ,while burrowing enough HP to run away too

Grubby hates DK ultimate so much that he wont even skill it against a guy going mass knights. Not even at lvl 7!

DK ult is like the Walmart version of Pally ult
I liked it as a last fu when i was losing fights back then helped turning it in a draw or even win Lich ult never struck me as usefull tbh

DK is really the backbone of an undead army. No other hero has as much impact as him in WC3

Overall it feels like these middle game tanks really paid off. But only the first wave, not after. Sounds like legit one time mid-game attack)
