- A tribute to one of greatest ever enduro's riders. Mika Ahola won five consecutive world-championship titles from 2007 to 2011 in all three classes and seven Six Days (1996, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006) with Finnish national team.
molti di noi non lo hanno mai conosciuto, tutti però abbiamo sognato di dare tutto quel gas e di essere come lui, ci ha regalato emozioni che soltanto chi ha amato e praticato questo meraviglioso sport può comprendere.

Dur, dur ces images... C'était un sacré bonhomme, un bosseur, avec une volonté de fer. Il pouvait tout faire (même parler l' Italien couramment ! ;-)), il avait un gros coeur (hein JLM, les descentes pourries !?), un sens de la communication "inhabituel" pour un Nordique, un peu fantasque même !
Il a écrit une belle page de l'enduro, et il nous manque... Visse la poignée là-haut... Adieu l'Ami

Ciao pilota, ora sarai in cielo a sgasare con il grande Sic.............
the official reason is he reported some internal injuries despite to a crash while training in Spain and the doctors didn't notice them at the hospital. From this he had complications. I also think it's pretty strange he announced his retire with a sudden letter after he had already re-signed with Zanardo HM for the 2012. Anyway, I think we should not try to discover the real cause, it would be discreditable for his memory.
