#europe

experiencing one single country and calling it europe is driving me crazy.
Yup. Especially considering that even neighbouring countries may differ greatly in language and culture. And then we are not even talking about nations that are "far" from each other, like say Iceland and Greece...
reminds me of my first trip to the us in 2009, i had a short talk with a merican and when i told him im from germany he said: "nice have u ever been to europe?".
Its a dutch train and entering gates telling you that you r fat whit out saying it.
@metalfuerstoh dear 😅😅🇳🇴
But we have a lot in common...healthcare, education, ckean water from the tap...😂😂😂, human rights, that confuses them. I refer to myself as a european, to not confuse them more than the reality do by itself.😂😂😂
Its funny how so many Americans are so worried about people younger than 21 drinking, yet its fine if they have a gun:). Okay what the hell is happening in the replies I was just making a joke and people are going rabid🤨 I hate how half my notifications ares from this dumb comment.
The country that has small guns in pink and blue on sale for little children.
They start buying them for their kids at 12 because “there’s nothing else to do here”
(Is a American) the guns we have at that young is fir stuff like hunting, and its also better to not be a drunk teenager with a gun,(teens here are very impulse, drunk=impulsive, gun is dangerous. Not a good combination)
@kellydalstok8900 are you talking about nerf guns..? they have soft little pellets that can’t hurt you even if you tried
@youraphroditekid No. They literally sell guns in pink and blue. Many of them are the exact models one would buy a kid. Like hunting rifles. I had my first before I was big enough to hold it on my own.
I really hate how she calls it "traumatizing" to have to ride a train with normal seats
As a fat women it isnt even traumatising when people in the street call me fat. My response.....and.
Don't "hate"it...just funny....
@chloeuntrau4588 I guess I personally just get annoyed at how much the word "traumatizing" and "trauma" is being thrown around nowadays
How can the woman complane at the same time about the narrow seat and the big gap between train an platform. If she are thin enough to fall in the gap the seats are far to big for her.
Its a rage bait account.
Pubs in the UK have a sign outside saying "All Americans must be accompanied by an adult "
Ok that's funny
That's just perfect
That’s hilarious!
LMAOO
As a an ACTUAL ABORIGINAL NATIVE AMERICAN ...I get that!!!😂😆🤣, and YES...EVEN ON A RES!!!
What scares me most is that when Americans have trouble with the police in Europe, they often shout that they are US citizens. As if that exempts them from obeying the law in another country.
Mfs really think they got diplomatic immunity, only thing they're immune to are vegetables
They think their amendments and crap work everywhere as they exist
@fireredninja9320 or the classic argument, especially if they have been pulled over by a police officer in any European country; "your traffic stop is illegal, because you have to articulate probable cause, which you have not, yadda yadda yadda..."
@StanCoffee123police shouldn't have a reason to stop you? I hope you understand why probable cause exists, as a criminal justice major I promise it's for a good reason
@UnknownName-fl4xo that wasn't quite my point even though I understand where you're coming from. My point was Americans in Europe trying to implement American law and will not understand it doesn't quite work that way.
Q: How many Americans does it take to change a light bulb?
A: One. He holds the bulb and the rest of the world revolves around him.
That's almost poetic!
lol
spot on!! they think its all about them, thats why we should close the border to the us and not let anybody out- just close that sh..hole and let it burn down- they are doing a perfect job them self
TRUTH !
REDACTED
FunFact... An American asked me: Do you have Electricity in Germany? I sad: "No, we build Porsche, BMW and Audi by sitting around the Fire pit. Jerk🤠" 🤦♀️🤦♀️ He was really serious about the question! 😂😂😂😂
Germany company's like Simens and Bosch are pioneers of the electric age.
I wonder how Konrad Zuse invented the computer without electricity.😁
one asked a friend of mine if we have fridges while standing in front of a Bosch fridge...
Yes they never left their country and still think they are the top oft the world. We live close to the biggest air base in Germany and oh my gosh. I know why some are called hillbillies. America will always stay a country of shoot horny cowboys. And ifs someone got wat they want they will make them their enemy. Oh you got oil let’s make war we need oil. And so on.
@juli3706 LMAO they really need to get out of that bubble
Funfact: a group of americans got trapped in a lift. Instead of pressing the alarm they tried to contact 911. We are in Europe, we dont have 911
Yeah and it was 112 or smh in Europe
I can't tell about all EU, but in some countries all 911 calls just redirect to the emergency line. It is actually really thoughtful, because even foreigners can call for help in a stressful danger situation.
@zulhafis87 Yea in Europe it's 112
@tetiana5055 Being dumb always has to be a stressful experience.
@carcharodoncarcharias1321 I don't think, that to forget a right telephone number is meen to be dumb. Once I was such scared, that I forgot English for a few minutes. People talk to me, but my brain just refused to process it. Of course, to be stuck in a elevator is not dangerous, but to add 911 as emergency line is generally good idea.
11:24 - "american numbers" is funny way of saying "arabic numerals" xD
Even the Arabs stole the numbers and call them Indian numbers.
It's a bit like the Gulf of Mexico. They rename things that make them feel uncomfortable!
@kevg3320 Middle East kinda does that too. Depending on which side of the ME you're on, the gulf separating the ME countries is called Arabian Gulf or Persian Gulf.
Just wait they see a clock with Roman numbers
@spartanbeast3575fair but a little different (?) have these names been in use by the perspective sides for a long time? This new name for the Gulf of Mexico is just pure moronic arrogance from a narcissist
American logic, "this 3 foot wide entrance is too small for me", "I might fall through the 6 inch gap between the train and the platform".
the size of them is so great they couldn't even intentionally stub their toe on that gap
😂😂😂
also "It's everyone else's fault that I'm fat as fuck"
Was thinking the same thing myself
Maybe there is a connection between the US "XXL" Drinks/Meals and the many XXL people...while XXL in Europe is normal size in US and XXL people in Europe are normal size in US...
I mean, when all food packs are way bigger than in Europe the people will be bigger...and of course Jumbo will have some probs in small-land...
-Main Character Sydrome- -> American Defaultism
US Defaultism*
@esaedvik What does the A in US"A" stand for?
@tshcktall apples.
@esaedvik You're absolutely right ...
American exceptionalism
The US is literally if the Dunning-Kruger Effect was a country.
Yep, yep, yep!
😂😂😂 Bulls eye.
6:25 ‘Large’ woman showing a broken escalator, but knowing that place myself, the elevator is right next to it and it functions.
Every elevator has a weight limit tho. Just saying
I hate this woman🤢🤮
What does plus size mean? How much does she weigh? Those seats can accommodate people weighing over 100 kilos. Maybe she should work on her health instead of expecting the world to universally adjust to her weight.
Not to mention, the rail company does in fact care enough about this issue that if an escalator or lift is broken somewhere on your route, it will show this fact in your travel planner app. As much as I'd sometime wish repairs could take place with some more urgency, nobody can say they just neglecting accessibility if it is even explicitly embedded in the information infrastructure people use to plan their trip.
@decoder125 ...the weight limit on a platform elevator is typically for eight people. I am not aware of anyone who would weigh that much by themselves still being mobile, let alone riding public transportation.
Calling it "American" Numbers is just the cherry on top
Better not confuse them, by telling where those numbers originated.
I'm sure calling it arabic numerals would give some of them an aneurysm.
@Kaos-n5hDo tell them then just stand back and watch their braincells melt.
@Kaos-n5h Sorry i did.
@peterbrazier7107😅😅😅
"I can barely fit through this gate, because it is so narrow", also "this tiny gap between the train and the platform is very scary". Ma'am, you wouldn't fit in the gap between the train and the platform even if you tried.
😅😅😅😅
Not even a cankle would fit 😂.
some people have big 11:09
Tbh as someone often using trains in Poland, there were some wild gaps between those. They fixed it now, im really glad about that. But I did see some phones and headphones get dropped there.
my biggest fear was getting my leg stuck there :c but that also included elevators and elevator stairs XD
And probably less eating
12:25 wait till that American finds out there are no "American" numbers, those are Arabic
The Aegean number system is so easy to read, if not, use google
Actually I'm pretty sure Arabic Numerals weren't originally Arabic, same way french fries aren't french
Nor American English, unless you include the bros, dudes and ya'lls.
@melissanewman5497correct. I once took an Arabic beginner's class and was surprised to learn new numerals alongside the writing system. That's when I learned that the arabic numerals as everybody (or at least everyone who uses the latin alphabet) knows them were originally from India but spread to Europa via Arabia
@melissanewman5497Arabic numbers were evolved from Indian numbers but included a zero.
SPHERICALLY CHALLENGED. I will put it next to my favourite - spatially prominent.
Hearing that phrase had me howling with laughter.. "too round to fit through doors"
Gravity - field inducing
@WooShell i think, i have to watch the lord of the ring again. bilbo has nice round doors.
I've never seen a wheelchair with spherical wheels, it must be some amazing stuff
"it's December over here" glad there's still things we can agree on 😄
Don't jinx it....
28 is not a month
Season are the same everywhere because of the solstice (Earth more close to the sun or not)
@Hellismyheaven-q7h Wrong. Seasons appear due to the tilt of the earth, not how close the Earth is to the sun. So, when the northern hemisphere of the earth tilts towards the sun, it is summer in the northern hemisphere and winter in the southern hemisphere and vice versa.
Being ignorant is one thing. Taking that and making judgments based on that ignorance makes you dumb.
Pretty sure both is dumb…
@simon4311 everyone is ignorant in something, but there is a difference between ignorant people and Americans: they are humble enough to recognize that and the need to learn as more as possible.
Thanks! This is what I tried to express but I did not because I could not find a substitution for “fucking dumbass”…
@simon4311 Ignorance is the default state of being. It has nothing to do with intelligence.
@BrindiMappe I'm pretty sure ignorant people are those who don't know AND refuse to know
The main advantage of a digital clock is to be able to specify time in 24hours format.
People sticking to 12H format but not able to read a traditional clock is... Wow. I don’t have words for that.
Nurses, shift workers, and others use 24hr time to define with no error , the time. 4pm can be mistaken for 4am.
Thurs 2350 is clearly still Thurs but in 10 mins it will be Friday 0000. As in new day.
Accuracy man, its used for accuracy
These types of people volunteered to stop thinking, that's what.
like dude just count the position of the lines, like the line where 3 is would be 3 o’clock (or 1500), no?
@forlornhope7121the weirdest fucking thing to me is 12:xxAM
They count past twelve, but the PM goes to AM, and it's a new day. Are they afraid of zeroes too?
I like digital time sometimes to verify if someone means Quarter past or a Quartet to XX since I am dyslexic and mix up those times. German is a little bit more confusing then english and there are several ways to tell those times. Some say three Quarters past XX instead of Quarter too XX and some make apreviation.
8:53 There is a saying that goes "In a world where information is freely and easy accesible, ignorance is a choice!"
It is a shame USA doesn't have google
@redboyjan They do, but if google tells them something that conflicts with "facts" that they "know", they call it fake news.
an american dude threatened to have me deported . I have nothing against americans, but sometimes it's just too funny. I gave him hints hoping for him to get that I did'nt live in the US , but he kept on accusing me of being on food stamps. It was hilarious. All of this was about a minor disagreement about food.
@adelevermouille7057 For many of them, their ignorance is Monumental!
Bet United Statistan has the most flat earthers.
Canadian here. I've actually had an American come up to me on the streets of my town and say, "It's the fourth of July, why aren't you celebrating?". Playing dumb, I asked, "What would we be celebrating?". He said it was Independence Day. Okay, I said, but that's a holiday in the United States, and this happens to be Canada. And then I asked, "Do you folks celebrate July 1st?". No, what is July 1st, he says. Well, it's Canada Day, our independence day. On July 1, 1867, the Dominion of Canada was formed. Basically Canada became a country. He just walked away. I think I stunned him with actual facts.
Plus there were no wars between the Canadians and the British either all done peacefully and respectfully
@johnpenman9595there are historical reasons for this :)
Just stun them with big words. 🇨🇦
@johnpenman9595maybe no too bloody wars?
He walked away after knowing how stupid he was. 😅
imagine what would happen if those americans that cant read the clock with lines find out that their american numbers are actually arabic...
We don`t have to. See the recent meltdown on social media when somebody trolled MAGA about Arabic numerals being used in schools!
i just want to let yall know we learn how to read clocks in kindergarten literally kindergarten and people don’t know how to do it 😭😭
Well they call Delta and bomb them Numbers for oil
@nicolenettnincan confirm i got people asking me what time is it while being within several feet of an analog clock
Imagine calling it a “clock with lines” instead of an analog clock. As an American we are certainly drowning in idiots but you don’t seem much brighter.
i was once in Malta and i asked some american tourists what time it was, i know they were american due to the american flag tattoo one guy had and their accent. one girl showed me her wrist and say " if you can read the time, you tell us!" she bought an expensive watch and can't even read it.....
It’s scarier when you think these peeps vote….
Remember who they voted for?
We're dealing with the consequences of how they voted
They did vote
And breed
@davidcopplestone6266 i don’t know why you cry about Trump,Trump supported just as much in europe by half of the population as in america. Not great but better than the walking corpse biden ever was.
we dont start drinking at 21, we start to stop drinking round that
This comment would be perfect to be shown in the next Video 😂😂😂
facts.
Real, fact-checked by real EU patriots!!!
Yup^w^
You mean 21 on third day?
“Don’t weep for the stupid, you’ll be crying all night.”
We have very often clocks with just lines in Germany. We learn to read these clocks when we're still kids 😂
6:16 She is in the Netherlands. As someone who regularly uses the train there, there is 100% elevator access for every platform. And the extra wide wheelchair accessible ticket gates too like you said. It's all there, she just needs to look further than the end of her nose to find it.
Now what can I find to moan about today
That would require walking...
Her comment about people staring when she struggles to get through the narrow entrance gates. They probably stare because they wonder why she uses one of the narrow gates, and not one of the wide ones.
Just think logic someone with a baby stroller or an elderly person would need an elevator too. (Or someone with a foot in a cast.)
8:00 watch that person try to google Estonia as a state just to prove their point
Or say "It's a city in Oregon! Goonies took place there!"
Estonia mentioned
Or Georgia
@proud_scene.personeesti mentioned 🇪🇪 🎉🎉🎉
eeeeeeeeestin mentoned 😂🎉 (joke)
I’m Canadian, and when I went to a political rally for the Liberals during our election earlier this year, we got harassed outside by a bunch of angry MAGA hats. I wasn’t surprised that they apparently didn’t know what country they’re in. 😂😂
That is both hilarious and so embarrassing at the same time. Embarrassing because I am a US citizen...
It could also have been deliberate as they would be extremely pro Pierre - who knows what deals he made with the Orange Fuehrer? Peaceful transition to the 51st State?
Maghats are the dumbest
sure Jan, that happened. it's always the same insult: republicans be dumb. Good grief.
@phoenix_kiana i thought it was embarasing because they admitted they were liberals😂
and no , im not american
Main Character Syndrome has a nice ring to it, I always called it Side Character Neurosis 😂
'american sports syndrome - why every american sport is a world championship'
For US defaultism always use the comment, "96% (over 7.8 billion people) of the world's population lives outside the USA."
4 Billion on asia😂
For the size of the country, they actually have a pretty small population.
@101steel4because most don't make it past childhood from what I gather all I see is school shooting in American and now in university also
@grimliver was taking a drink when i read this, startled the cat with my choking
Lucky bastards.
For the people who can't read the Dutch clock with the lines it says 13:15.
That was just plain cruelty towards Americans lol
Lolll
Just driving that stake in deeper, I see. xD
🤭😂👏👍 Bob, you're my new best friend! 😂😂
Are you using military time?? Hahahahaha
The best comment I ever saw was someone wanting an explanation from England for not warning us before something bad happens in America, since they are 5 hours ahead of us.
I saw that too somewhere. It was.. a work of art.
And in fact, Americans have to know that bec the different time betwoon Losa Angeles and New York, or max Hawaii...
Every businessman know that it is a bad idea to make a call in New York at 8 in the morning to a businesspartner in LA...
@drhkleinert8241 that's what I don't get! If there was a country that should know about time zones it's the usa, and still they don't. It truly baffles me
Yes it was about the Twinn Towers.
😂🤣🤣/ ♥️ from 🇸🇪
3:21 It is funny because the US Army allready uses "army miles'' (they reffer to for example: 'the enemy is 10 clicks out' meaning 10 kilometers) xD (living in The Netherlands btw)
12:50 I have read somewhere that American schools are replacing analogue clocks with digital ones because the pupils can't read the analogue clocks anymore and in my humble opinion *that's the entirely wrong reaction.*
It's not that hard to learn to read a clock. They should teach the kids to do it.
They used to, met an adult some 25 years ago who couldn't read analog, I was in shock since he was only 10myears younger than myself. Now they don't even teach cursive writing.
@carollewis5468 I mean cursive writing is pretty useless. I've learnt it and aren't using it.
@BlackWater_49 It doesn't matter whether you write in cursive or not on a daily basis, what's important is to be able to read it.
Something that's written at the back of an old photo, a letter from your grandma, a menu because the restaurant chose a weird font, the original US Constitution from 1787, etc... There are plenty of occasions where it's useful to be able to read cursive.
( make them 24 hour clocks, completely confuse them ( and that is just the teachers ) ).
if you can not count the hours after 12 you can never ever name a shop 24/7
I am sure there are people that never thought about why it is called 24/7.
@couldbebutter Good point!
The shop owners of 24/7 shops are soldiers. 😁
@ralfb2257😂😂😂
@ralfb2257 wait really? 😮
Cant fit in the seat, but afraid of falling through a gap between the train and platform? 😂
US logic is in a Galaxy all by itself! 😂🤣
Not even a kid will fall through that.... its very funny
@janhansen554even if you struggle, why complain? My mum who has a brain tumour struggles with it but she doesn't go complaining on the internet.
I think she's worried her feet will get caught if she steps in the wrong place. It's a real concern for people who can't see their feet.
This little gap is a bit dangerous, to trip over, but I have two left feet n_n
“My body isn’t the problem it’s the system!” Except when you are several times the size of a normal person which the system is designed for so it’s your fault
A lot of weight is engrained into dna, as different metabolism and etc.
But you can still work on it and have good chances to keep yourself in check, yeah
I'm also an overweight woman with quite wide hips and never had problems with seating in public transport. Sure, the butt doesn't fit 100% on the seat, but you can position yourself in a comfortable enough position anyways. The seats are usually perfectly fine sizewise.
@FirstLast-wk3kc No matter what DNA you have, you won't get morbidly obese if you eat 1500-2500 calories a day (adjusting for gender, height etc., of course). Don't consume 5000 calories daily and blame it on your DNA. It doesn't work that way.
@mystique592 ofc, no one says it.
Have a good day!
I’m proud of ya fella, over the last few years you’ve educated yourself away from the US education system. The amount you’ve learnt over this time has shown that with truth Americans can learn about this world & not just the street they live on. Keep it up fella & congrats to you & Anna for the engagement. 🎉🇬🇧
I totally agree
Plus help us all doing the same:)
i was about to say the same thing.
I support this comment!
Educating Americans, 1 yt video at a time 😂.
About the section from the "spherically challenged" person. That is the train system in the Netherlands, and I can confirm:
Yes, the seats are fine for average sized persons, and even overweight people.
There is always a wider entrance gate for wheelchair users, other handicapped people, or even users with a lot of bags.
There is always a lift at the station to get you to the platform, again for the same category people.
And yes, the escalators are broken on purpose.... 😂
If you are so much overweight that you call yourself "spherically challenged" and cannot fit in a normally sized chair, then you are considered to be handicapped in The Netherlands, and can get medical help to deal with your problem ... for free.
perhaps the "spherically challenged" person should be using those stairs.
For free, that’s the best part😂
That shouldnt be free. Being fat is a choice majority of cases.
If youre fat because of some biological instability then you should get free treatments.
But if youre fat because youre a glutton then noo.
@matke8723okay gonna be honest, that's like calling an alcoholic a glutton. Sure, it gives you the warm fuzzy feeling of moral superiority, but you're not solving any problems with that attitude.
@unvergebeneid hes fully correct though..
8:28 i dont even know what this means
fr. Is it supposed to be a Roman Empire reference or something?
No references, just "nineteenth of june" combined into one word
"They WAS" my eyes are bleeding
@BrindiMappeI don't really speak African-American or Black English but I think it's grammatical in that variety of English. "Celebrate" is still misspelled though.
@unvergebeneid wait, is that a real thing?
Sometimes it feels like we're making fun of people with intellectual disabilities.
8:18 ... Europe ruled the world, America was the first immigration experiment.
It backfired. call it off!
Real, because from what I know, Australians are actually kinda chill
@xzlwnk I am German and I‘ve spent some months there a few years back. These people are the good version of Americans. Super friendly, no really extreme left or right, just people who don‘t care about politics. They just care about living happy lives without pushing some agenda to achieve it. Loved it there
The whole military time thing cracks me up because they’re basically saying they can’t remember 12 diffeent numbers….12! Hell even 1 would do it cause once you hit 13:00 you just keep adding on from there 😂😂 like none of us look at 22.30 and count, you just know it’s 10:30 pm
I use the 12 hour clock but can tell 21:34 would be 9:34 PM, just subtract the number by 12
4:30 i really appreciated the celsius you put there
Same.
love it
Same
Greetings from Germany
some other big youtubers only do fahrenheit, which sucks because the number they show is big so probably very hot, but idk cant be bothered to check
Same. Greetings from half russian half polish
I once argued with this guy who's american in a comments of "martial art vs bodybuilder" video.
In the argument, this guy stated that martial arts are "useless and innefective for self-defense and a waste of time". I told them not necessarily because it has been proven on multiple occasions that it does work and that there are other benefits that we could get. Then he started saying "just use guns". I countered by saying that it would only benefits americans since most countries in this world doesn't legalize guns for civilians, also, most countries outright banned civilians to carry potentially lethal weapons even if it's for self defense. So my point still stand that martial art is still needed and could be effective.
Now, i don't know if he didn't read that part or was he just ignorant. Because he just said, "Here in this country we're allowed to" and saying stuff about sam colton and how greatful he was, as if those statements would counter my argument, in a way it does by making me realize that there's no point in continuing this argument further. I stopped arguing with him after.
You just can't argue with stupid
I constantly run into main character syndrome on the internet. So many posts that say "we", when they obviously mean "us Americans". So many Americans think they're the only ones in the conversation.
Yeah,⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ are kinda ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ngl
"we? Who's we? There is no we"
Idk I feel like most people would expect their posts to only reach people nearby or something.
I mostly get comments from people in southern USA and Mexico.
@alexsan9134 and this is why feelings arent the same as facts.
@alexsan9134 ummmm, do you know algorithm does not work according to your location?
In 2022, archaeologists in the country of Georgia discovered a significant 1.8-million-year-old early human tooth (a molar) at the Orozmani site, near the famous Dmanisi digs, providing crucial evidence that the South Caucasus was one of the first areas occupied by humans outside Africa, likely belonging to Homo erectus, challenging old migration theories. This find, along with earlier discoveries in Dmanisi, makes the region a key hub for understanding human dispersal from Africa.
Thank you!
Ssshhhhh... Don't tell to those yankee that they all descend from early humans from the great rift valley (which means AFRICANS), ESPECIALLY to those that say that the world was created by some imaginary entity just few thousands years ago...
6:05 there are elevators, but they have weight limits🤣😂
Reflect
lol course they do, they serve mostly disabled folks not willingly "spherically challenged"" americans that can't even enter them XD
The default 500lbs barrel, should be concerned 😅
"Max 10 people, or 3 american ladies"?
There are freig elevators too.
"american numbers" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Invented at about 2 or 3 thousands of years before Jesus was born. But according to some Americans that also happened in America.... 😮
12:32 Funny how they only understand the 12-hour clock, but reading an analog clock is somehow a problem (which is basically the idea behind the 12-hour system)
🤣🤣🤣
apparently many people nowadays struggle more with analog clocks. especially younger kids. I grew up with analog clocks but i'm more used with digital clocks since so i barely check the time on analog clocks these days. I wouldnt find it shocking if some kids these days dont really focus much on learning to read analog clocks anymore
@channi5264 Reading (and understanding) analog clocks is still a required subject in primary schools in the Netherlands.
So basically they just can’t tell the time. Makes sense, a fifth of them can’t read.
@apveening same in Italy
8:36 anyone has a red pen? I suddently get my teacher's urge to circle all that.
Spherically challenged is an amazing new concept to learn😂
5:11 "Does this even fit an average-sized person?"
Yes it does. I'm overweight (though not obsse), and I would certainly fit on these"
Americans, think about it, Europe was not build by or build for Americans... This is simply called reality. And if you have an opinion about that, I have shatter a second delusion of yours. Reality does not care about opinions. 😮
@erikblaas5826 ??
As a person with a bit of a weird build(curvy I guess? Not obese, but a bit “overweight” and curved at the thighs/upper torso) I could easily chill in one of those too-
About "normal American numbers", I recently saw a _(satirical)_ post that said the New York City Mayor _Zohran Mamdani_ planned to mandate all New York elementary school students to learn *"Arabic numerals"* and a lot of people freaked out, saying things like _"No! Not on my watch! We must protect our children from forced cultural change!"_ and _"Islamification of New York begins! What's next? Islamic call to prayer?!"_
Who's going to tell them?
Well, tRump told the truth when he said: "Smart people don't like me, you know."🤷♂️
All republicans feel is hate, nothing else
They're actually Indian numerals mislabeled as Arabic because even though India invented the system, Arabic traders were the ones who brought it to Europe through trade routes.
Yeah, that was Hilarious! 😂🤣😂🤣
@iPlayOnSpica The Indian Numerals were the origin, but they don't look anything like Arabic Numerals...
12:21 The confused person in the Netherlands will be even more confused when they find out "American numbers" are actually Arabic numbers
True!!
False. There's no single inventor, but ancient Indian mathematicians developed the base-10 place-value system (with zero), which Persian mathematician Al-Khwarizmi popularized in the 9th century, introducing it to the West. Later, Islamic scholars like Al-Uqlidisi (10th century) and Al-Kashi (15th century) refined the system, introducing decimal fractions and the decimal point. Flemish mathematician Simon Stevin further popularized decimals in the 16th century, but didn't invent the system itself.
@r456mjon false
@jeffweidemann927yes, it was developed by the indians, but got popularized by the arabs. Thats why the world calls it arabic numerals. Not because they made them, but because they introduced them
@jeffweidemann927I know saying Arabic numbers is wrong, I just wanted to make a joke about he saying "American numbers". Thanks for the clarification 👍
I was in line at a museum in Dublin this past fall, an American family, Mom, Dad, Grandparents and 4 kids in front of us, while Mom demanded a senior discount, and baby discount for her family, Dad was trying to read a sign, his little daughter asked him what it said, bless his heart, he tried to sound out the words, them gave up saying it was a foreign language he could not read. The sign said, "please queue here for the Viking museum entry" I felt bad for that little girl. After the Mom was done yelling at the attendant, yes, yelling, the whole family moved on. The attendant said she had to go on break after that encounter. Some people should now travel.
er *not travel. but i agree 100%
So he couldn't read a sign that he should be able to read. He shouldn't have kids if he can't read.
@BritneeStarI don’t know if you’d be surprised, but a LOT of Americans can’t read basic English. I used the word “cesspool” in a sentence at work and was met with “what does that mean?”
Hang on.. you said 'line' not queue, 'fall' not autumn, and 'mom' not mum.. if you wasn't called Shamrock, I'd guess you must also be American 😂
@JanHopkins-i1o ummm, I'm guessing from their Canadian flag that they are Canadian, but they were visiting Ireland like the American family. I believe Canadians also use "line" and "mom".
Of course there are elevators on stations. Wheelchairs aren’t getting up escalators
Wait... "american numbers"? Gee, i thought the world used arabic numbers... Oh silly me.🤣
Greetings from Norway
Soon they will name them "freedom numbers".
we should switch to the binary system worldwide. I'm not saying it would be more efficient or useful, but I am a simple Chaos enjoyer.
@aleisterlavey9716 Hexidecimal. Then you can Hex everyone.
@rodh1404😂

'Military time' is on of many things Americans say thats so annoying. Its the 24 hour clock as there are 24 hours in the day. The military has nothing to do with why so many of us use that format.
It avoids confusion so is used in so many places, such as bus, rail and air timetables. In the UK, children understand it by the time they leave primary school. All my digital clocks are 24 hour, analogue twelve.
Military brat here and yes the 24hr clock has a lot to do with military. If youre in a missle bunker or a sub in the ocean how do you know day from night on a 12 hour marked clock? You dont..a 24 hr clock lets you know day from night. My adopted father was in Navy and I was about 8 yrs old when I learned military time. Computers also use 24hr clocks to differentiate between day and night functions in coding. My favorite clock is a day clock its movement shows day of week. My aunt had one and Ive seen online them and would love to have one. Now I dont care time its sun out or dark, I live rural on a far and my animals set my day although some roosters in our area seem to be confused with morning due to idiot folks keeping floodlights on their houses. I remember in the 60s being told we needed to learn metric in US schools until I moved abroad I never needed it unless I was using a tool on a foreign built car. Now its all I use and celsius and grams and kilos I struggled to learn in my 50s but hey google it and I can cook or sew just fine. Half my day im in my family's tomorrow and my granddaughter born this week I went to my clock setting to see had they passed midnight as we dont do time change of fall and spring either. And calling a bill a dinar not a dollar took me few years. But it was the arabic numbers idiots that really showed how clueless we are to outside USA. I now have friends on many continents thanks to internet and past 15 yrs has really opened my eyes to the bubbles we all live in.
@oldmomma Im not reading all that, but just because the military uses the 24 hour clock doesnt make it 'military time', does it? Which is what Americans claim; probably because counting over 12 is too hard for them.
Loads of professions use it. Its not exclusive to just one.
@DisplacedQuine Here in the Netherlands they understand it at age 8-9.
@apveeningYes, here they leave primary school about 10-11; they will have been taught it earlier so they will understand it easily by the time they leave.
Here in Prague Americans here for work with families often can’t get their children in English language private schools because many can’t read or write in cursive.
And yet czechia put their head in usa ass.
I think the gap thing was more like their foot could slip through and get stuck. I get that anxiety too
7:37 Even if I was from the US, why would I respect a president who doesn’t respect anyone, except if he has money and/or power?
From my experience the people who insist we show respect to Trump because he's president so can't say a single nice thing about Joe Biden. Forget the US defaultism for a second, it's just flat out hypocrisy.
Being from the US myself, he doesn't deserve respect. Respect is earned and he hasnt earned mine 😂
Also lover children
@javieranllo3857 i hope you do not have oil at you garden - they will kidnapp you 😅
Here here!
6:09 It's literally illegal to NOT have Disabled access in Europe
Exactamente. De hecho, una persona con obesidad mórbida, se le puede considerar discapacitado.
I remember the station in ... i think it was Lippstadt, where you had big and nice stairs ... and down the parking, long past the station building, at the end of the plattform there was a ramp for wheelchairs.
Quiet a safari, there and back again.
Certainly plenty of train stations in the UK that are NOT accessible for wheelchair users. Only a third of tube stations in London are accessible (step free).
she litterally didn't search, in the rural stations so outdated you have to cross the rails to go to the other side there are ramps!
@noodlechild666Always exceptions for older infrastructure. You can't build a new station without disabled access. But something from near 200 years ago will get away with it. They didn't really care back then.
2:30 The population of the USA is 350 million people. The world population is over 8 billion people. This means that the USA accounts for only 5% of the world's population.
and this 5% collect a lot of not smart people , is like an almost bottomless pit of people who thinks they are better than anyone else , but in reality they are behind anyone else {as a country um maybe except poor African countries }
You see the problem? To an American 350 is a bigger number than 8....
@johnrhodez6829Makes sense
India, with a population of 1 billion, accounts only for 1% of global population
6:52. Maybe not her body, but a little brain for shure...
Bologna (Italia) ha abolito la schiavitù nel 1256 con il "Liber Parardisus" , le altre nazioni lo hanno fatto prima della fine del 1800
Hey JT, the funny thing about that response of calling kilometers "army miles": have you ever heard american military in movies call to their squad to move 5 "klicks" north for example?
Those "klicks" is actually military slang for kilometers. So yea... army miles indeed! 😂
I had no idea! Thank you!
Whenever an American says how great their system is over the metric system, I always tell them that every US scientist, engineer, architect, and all branches of the US military use the metric system. It's only the general population who find it difficult to count in base 10.
As for military time. Once passed 12:00 hours, simply minus 12 from each hour until midnight. Eg, 13:00 hours minus 12 = 1 o’clock. 14:00 hours minus 12 = 2 o’clock. Etc etc. It’s not rocket science.
@Colby753 In 1999 the Mars Climate Orbiter got lost because of a software error. A small - but essential - part of the program was coded in US units instead of SI units (metric)
Yeah! I never understood why the wouldn't just say kilometer like every normal person...
My favourite is someone comment on my sister post that our country stole "America culture" because our malls put out Christmas tree for Christmas 😅
Bro Christmas trees come from Germany that American is the dumbest person ever
Wait, people put christmas trees in malls for selling?
I tought it was in Mega Stores only
(Then again, i do live in a carribean country, so the US mainland likely just placing them where everyone goes)
@Ooflord39 not for selling, for decoration.
@lawrencecrocker4870 ahhhh
(mosly) makes sence
Aren't Christmas tree pre christian Germanic tradition?
06:00 I'm 212 cm tall and correspondingly also a bit hefty. I have some trouble with public transport. I'm not the average person, though, so demanding to be catered to in the degrees mentioned in this video is insane!
I am "only" 191 but have long legs and often problems with legroom in newer public transport vehicles. I just learn which seats work for me and take them...
@icaro_ch3946I'm going on a flight soon after several years of not flying. Really nervous if it will fit.
@Tajarim88I know that i fit good in Easy Jet in europe
@icaro_ch3946I'm going to try eurowings in the emergency exit row. Going to be interesting to find out
American confusion* 🎉
In the netherlands the escalators bieng broken in stations is like the ice cream machine bieng broken at mcdonalds
12:37 You should be able to read a clock (at least decently) with no numbers or lines at all.
By the age of 6
@redboyjan Maybe if you're dyslexic or something, I can understand it taking until maybe age 12.
But either way, a grown adult should be able to just tell by the shape.
Ask Trump, he has to draw clocks on all his tests! 😂😂
I can and
have done...
I have. I’m literally TEN.
JT, I'll say this for you, which puts you miles ahead of other Americans, is the fact that you are willing to learn, willing to be wrong, and humbly take the correction, without getting on your high horse about it.
And already learned a lot from previous videos!
Half of them are decent people
@redboyjan It's the other half that has me worried. LOL
Totally agree.
@redboyjanI'm American. I think half is a stretch.
11:22 funnily enough the continental US has 3 timezones. So Americans should understand how the timezones work
They have 6, even if you exclude Hawaii it is still 5. (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii-Aleutian)
I was gonna say i know at least 3 and im from the UK eastern, Mountin and Central
Its not hard to know at least 3-4 timezones its when you start getting into more than that that some struggle.
It's actually 6. Oh, no wonder someone already mentioned it...
@The-A.S.O From Pacific to Eastern alone are 4 "continental" timezones...
@rainerzufall42 I was talking about continental US specifically. And yes, my bad, I admit the mistake. There are 4 time zones. Good to know there are 6 time zones overall.
Some older stations only have stairs. These are clearly marked on transit maps
3:51 this "military time" is taught in elementary school to 6-year-old kids here in Italy
Ik thats the very first thing that they teach you in Italy. What good old times
I'm in France, and we learn the 24 hour clock but a lot of people use the 12 hour one
I learned that in like 3rd grade over here in India
"militairy time" only exists in the mind of dumb Americans, to the rest of the world it is just "normal" or "actual" time.
I'm one of the very few Americans who uses 24-hour time. Never have to worry about accidentally setting the wrong time on an alarm. There's only one 8:00. Took maybe a week to get used to.
6:36 that’s why they say “MIND THE GAP”
6:40 If you dont fit between the entree gates, you dont need to worry about that small gap
If she can’t fit through a meter wide entrance, HOW IS SHE WORRIED ABOUT A 10CM GAP!?
3:31 nah those are science miles
I love how people in the USA say "4th of July" (putting the day of the month first, then the month), but write it as 7/4. The month/day of month/year scheme that people in the USA use is INSANE! YYYY/MM/DD is the most practical way, and DD/MM/YYYY is good too. The USA adopted what is easily the WORST way to express a date. I guess it matches their system of weights and measures perfectly.
I disagree on YYYY/MM/DD being better than DD/MM/YYYY - In most situations and conversations the year doesn't really matter so it makes sense to put it last. Still a better system than what the Americans use though.
"The fourth of July" is interchangeable with "July fourth", and generally when we see a date--and let's use something else where the date itself is not used as the name of a holiday--like 12/21/2025, it will be read as "December twenty-first, 2025". This is the default way of saying it out loud, and spoken language affects the numeric date format. You *can* say "the twenty-first of December, 2025", but it sounds more formal or ceremonial (hence "the fourth of July" being what most people say instead of "Independence Day"). (Also, we absolutely *never* say "twenty-one December".)
And yeah, it does seem illogical not to follow an order from more specific to less specific or vice-versa (e.g. 2025/12/21 or 21/12/2025), but in practice, we don't actually say the year that often, so it can almost be treated as an afterthought.
tl;dr 7/5 is not read as "the fifth of July" but as "July fifth".
Ay bro we didn't choose to make our measurements so confusing 😅
@Eyedunnoso 21st December
Tbh most Americans boil their water in a microwave when they want a cuppa. So no advice from an American shout be taken seriously unless it's how to carry a gun or how to over eat
And their system of weights and measures are based on the imperial system, which uses the body measures of some long dead king. Every time someone in the US uses feet and pounds they're reminded that they were a british colony.
Meanwhile the rest of the world uses a system created by revolutionaries who wanted to get away from monarchy and despotism. They not only implemented a different form of government (democracy) but also a different system of measures.
The metric system are the true freedom units.
The mericans who struggle with the 24 hour clock do so because they've run out of fingers to count on after 12. 😉
😂
🤣🤣🤣
According to old hungarian pagan traditions, people with 11 or 12 fingers were appointed as shamans.
@lnemeth4334 cool fact
They land in Rome 20:40, they lost in time forever :)
5:51 right! There is always one wider gate among the normal ones
Just spin like bayblade and your molten lard will slip you right through 😉
Also needed for people with luggage.
7:22 i even chuckled i didnt see that coming
“Have some respect for YOUR LEADERS” has the same energy to a German as replacing the last two words with DER FÜHRER.
He is back again? Oh no! Fight them!
That is my reaction every time i hear / read it also...im norwegian
@kruholioyea, they rule the US and Israel 👍.
@bigshorty4855sad but true. And there are a lot more! And then there are these people who elect these leaders against their own interest. And why? Because the education systems have failed. It's the year 2025 and we could all organize... We should start with the top 10%.
@kruholiotrue, they also own western Europe. Basically the west.
Thank you for converting farenheit to celcius at 4:40; I realy like that because I only have to deal with farenheit when speeking to Americans.
yeah really nice! I will never learn to translate Fahrenheit it is the worst thing out there 😭😭😭
@CharlyHoppenstedt The formula is pretty basic, but the division by nine somewhere in there makes it a bit awkward. From Celsius to Fahrenheit is a bit easier.
I wanted to say the same thing
I live where Fahrenheit did measurements for his scale and I still can't see point of where he anchor it
@wytrzeszczwytrzeszcz7739Fahrenheit set 0°F at the lowest temperature he could achieve with a mixture of ice, water, and sal ammoniac. translated to Celcius: −17.8°C. he wanted to avoid to handle negative temperatures
5:35 in Amercia are much more fat people than in Europe.. so there are no extra or plus sized seats.
Exactly and they should deal with it
12:34 oh their gonna be so surprised when they find out *american numbers* are arabic
It is so fascinating that people from a country that insists on 12 inches in a foot and selling eggs in dozens can't possibly manage to subtract 12 from the time
For the eggs, it's sold by 12 or by 6 in a lot of countries too and now by 4, 10, ...
I still by eggs by the dozen in the UK
and they refuse to switch to metric, even though it's based on series of 10, which they could count on their hands if needed. I know....
They also believe the US is not a 'warlike' nation, despite having been at war for 93 of the last 100 years. They just believe they're the good guys and everyone else is backward
@Defhrone Once you know how, it is pretty easy to count to 12 on the phalanxes of the fingers of one hand, using the thumb as index. Base 12 does have its usage (though I prefer base 10 and base 16).
@apveening yup, I teach that trick to kids, so they can count to 144 on their hands
American numbers?
Is that like the American language, English 😂
tell them the american numbers are in fact arabic and bam , they collapse
Well, the Americans think they speak English bless them.
...and 'Murican Jesus...the white dude and the baaaaaabul written in gawd's language...American.
Translate to English???!!
Frankly my dear I can't be bothered.
@R0swell5104we also speak Spanish
why do people in USA always say 'why don't they do ...... (as in USA) like the rest of the world when what the USA does is different to the rest of the world.
Many of them think they're better than us, it's like propaganda you hear in Russia too interestingly working effectively
I just the other day watched a YT video about Americans wanting to move away from the US. One lady posted that it would be good if many Americans would move to Europe to teach them how to build an empire and to make Europe more American. And that would e great for Europe. 😳 I replied to her that no European country wants to become American and that no American should try to change European habits, laws, culture and mentalities to US American! I also replied that the American should keep their cults and brainwashing in the US!
You could make a list longer than my arm on this one topic. Starting with the metric system.
7:57 bro needs to think a bit on why that person has the Estonian flag in their display name
Expecting it to have this flag as an American State, an American County, a school flag or club flag.... As long as it is within the US of Arrogance... 😮
"4 reasons why public transport in europe traumatized me" Mam thats way more than 4
7:46 ESTONIAN, MY PEOPLE YESSSSSSS
Same
The country with 1st place in best flag
I must say JT, you have the best Christmas intro.
Had to be hard to make
😂😅 i think its terrible and i hate it, sry just my opinion.Of course I don't want to offend anyone 😅. Animating something like that yourself is probably difficult, so my respect for that 😁
I like it, it is very festive. 😊
@Reaperkiller94Also but I appreciate the work.
I feel uneasy whenever someone I used to know doesn't know how to read clocks anymore
11:03 does this person know there´s also ... you know ... people working night shifts and there´s different time zones?!
Including in the US.
One person were absolutely dead lock on I'm a canadian and not a russian on a nightshift.
That was confusing and funny
0:23 gotta love the intro😂
So for real tho
it’s so unnecessary and so amazing.
Gotta respect the husele
This one Santa meme be like
The tree got some moves ZAMN
5:40 train lady has to be ragebaiting
American people are living proof that brain failure does not immediately lead to death.
